Chapter 157 Confessions
Chapter 157 Confessions
Alpha Caden's POV
Walking back into Aurora's apartment, my resolve was firm, but I wasn't prepared for the intensity of the emotions that would hit me when I saw her. She was curled up in a ball on the couch, looking small and vulnerable.
The sight stirred something deep within me—an urgent need to protect, to comfort, to claim what was mine.
Without a word, I crossed the room and scooped her up into my arms. She gasped, surprised but not resisting, her body relaxing against mine. I carried her effortlessly, pushing her gently against the wall. Our eyes locked, and the intensity of the moment took over. I could no longer hold back.
I kissed her, pouring all the pent-up longing and desire into that kiss. Aurora responded with the same eagerness, her hands gripping my shirt as she moaned softly against my lips. The need between us was electric, undeniable, and it surged to the forefront, erasing any lingering doubts or fears.
I already knew Lucian was intense, but I was unprepared for the violence of his need as he took control. Whatever he'd been holding back was now unleashed, with a vengeance.
Kneeling on the mattress over her, I felt the primal urge take over, and I ripped open the bodice of her dress. The sound of tearing fabric was almost as loud as the sound of my ragged breathing. The desire was raw, feral.
I dragged my shirt off over my head and fell on top of her with a snarl. Shoving her bra up under her chin, I latched onto one of her rigid nipples. I greedily sucked it into my mouth, feeling her arch against me, her fingers digging into my shoulders.
Every touch, every sound, drove me further into a frenzy. I was consumed by the need to claim her, to mark her as mine. The way she responded, her eagerness matching mine, only fueled the fire.
When we finally pulled apart, both of us were breathing heavily. I looked into her eyes, filled with a mix of surprise and desire. "Aurora," I whispered, my voice raw with emotion, "I'm here for you. For us. And I will not let anything or anyone come between us again."
She looked up at me, her eyes shining with a mix of hope and relief. "Caden, I need you," she murmured, her voice trembling. "I need you now more than ever."
I kissed her again, softer this time, a promise in the gesture. "I'm not going anywhere," I assured her. "We'll face everything together."
I couldn't hold back any longer. Leaning in, I captured Aurora's lips in a kiss that was filled with all the longing and love I had suppressed for so long. Her response was immediate and fervent, her lips parting eagerly to meet mine.
The kiss deepened, growing more passionate with each passing second, until we were both breathless, clinging to each other as if nothing else in the world mattered.
When we finally pulled apart, I kept her close, my forehead resting against hers. Her eyes, those beautiful, expressive eyes, were half-closed, filled with a mix of desire and tenderness.
I brushed a strand of hair away from her face and cupped her cheek, my thumb gently stroking her soft skin. "Fox," I whispered, my voice husky with emotion, "I love you more than words can say. You're the light in my darkest days, the reason my heart beats."
She gazed up at me, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. I could see the depth of her feelings mirrored in those stunning orbs, and it made my heart swell with even more love.
"You are everything to me," I continued, my voice steady and sincere. "Every moment without you felt like an eternity. I promise you, I'll be here, always, to love you, to protect you, to cherish you. You're my mate, my love, my life."
Aurora melted into my arms, her body pressing against mine as if she couldn't get close enough. I kissed her forehead, then her cheeks, savoring the softness of her skin.
"We have a future together," I murmured, looking deeply into her eyes. "A beautiful future, filled with love and joy. I want to build that future with you, Fox. I want to be there for every smile, every tear, every moment. You're my forever."
She sighed contentedly, her eyes closing as she nestled closer, her trust and love enveloping us both in a cocoon of warmth. Our love was stronger than anything that could come our way, and it would see us through whatever life had in store.
