Beatrice opened the door of the office as she walked into Ben's office with his cup of coffee and hers when she saw Vanessa standing next to him.
' She still exists?' Beatrice thought to herself, scoffing at the sight of Vanessa, forgetting that Vanessa was also Ben's assistant and very much available in the company.
She wondered why Ben didn't bring her along to Austria.
"Good morning, sir," Beatrice coughed, getting the attention of Ben, who was listening to what Vanessa was saying to him and staring at the tab in her hands.
Vanessa lifted her face from the tab and frowned at the sight of Beatrice.
Ben smirked and leaned on his seat, clamping his hands together as he stared at Beatrice.
"Morning, Miss. Coleman," Ben greeted.
"Here's your coffee," Beatrice announced, trying to ignore the fact of how strikingly handsome Ben looked in the Navy-blue suit he was wearing.
"He had his coffee already," Vanessa stopped Beatrice as she was about to drop Ben's coffee on the table.
"Oh!" Beatrice responded, glancing from Vanessa who was giving her a stern look to Ben who was boring his looks on her.
Beatrice straightened herself,' Well, I guess, I will drink these all by myself," she said lifting the two cups of coffee and giving a fake smile while Vanessa eyed her.
" Drop it," Ben said, causing Beatrice to smirk at Vanessa while she stared at her boss in awe.
Beatrice dropped one of the cups of coffee on the table for Ben and turned around on her heels as she marched off to her seat.
"Ms. Parker, you can take your leave," Ben dismissed Vanessa, who stared wide eyes at him because they weren't done with their discussion about the new project they'll be having soon.
"But is--"
"Don't worry, Vanessa, you can go to your office now, I'll call you as soon as I need you," Ben interrupted her as she smiled thinly at her boss and nodded.
Who was she to object anyway... Vanessa packed the files she kept on his table and started heading towards the door, but making sure she slowed her pace and stared at Beatrice who raised her head from the laptop wondering what was going on and what was with her annoying stares.
Vanessa closed the door when she was out of the office, leaving Ben and Beatrice in the office.
Beatrice typed her way on the laptop, while Ben stared at her, he smirked to himself seeing that Beatrice wore a blue collared shirt, navy gray suit pants, and a tie, he knew for sure she was hiding the hickey he gave her.
"Ms. Coleman," He called her suddenly, he had no idea why he was calling her in the first place... Just to tease her a bit this morning and get on her nerves a bit.
"Yes, sir," Beatrice answered with a frown on her face, wondering why he was calling her as she stared at him with a questioning brow from her seat.
"Come here," Ben ordered, she rolled her eyes and drew her chair back, and stood up from her seat.
She walked over to him, her eyes pinned on him and when she got close, she stopped a few feet away.
"Here, I am," She voiced, staring coldly at him... She was still annoyed with him for what he did to her back in Austria.
"Get me the files of the DAN corporation," He ordered, and Beatrice rose a brow at him.
'Why does he need that, so suddenly,' She thought, at least they weren't having any deal with the company for now?
"Okay," She replied and turned around, making her way out of the office.
She breathed out, feeling calm, each time she got out of his office she always felt relieved for certain reasons. Beatrice made her way to the storage room, which was on the second floor.
She was searching through the files In the storage room and cursing under her breath, wondering why he gave her such a task early in the morning to be battling with.
Beatrice stood on her toes checking the files on the higher shelves, she didn't see the file on the first shelf, so she moved on to the other, she check from bottom to top, when her eyes caught hold of the file on the top.
She stood on her toes again and stretched her arms to reach the file when someone took it for her. She recognized Ben's suit from his hand and turned around to face him.
'Had he purposely lured me here or what?' Beatrice frowned as she stared at him.
"You've gotten the file, I can go now," Beatrice dismissed herself and was about to walk away when Ben grabbed her arms and pushed her back to the shelf, and caged her between him.
"Ben!"
"I mean, Sir," She corrected herself in case anyone walks in.
"What are you doing?" She asked, staring at him through her eyelashes, and Ben leaned closer to her, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.
"What do you think I'm doing?" He asked her, and Beatrice swallowed hard and forced herself to look into his eyes filled with amusement.
Their eyes lingered on each other, and Beatrice could feel the pull and effect his eyes were having on her.
"Snap out of it, Beatrice!" She cautioned herself as she closed her eyes and inhaled sharply.
Ben's intoxicating scent was filling her head, and she needed to find a way to get away from him as soon as possible.
"I can see it from your eyes, now let me go, I have work to do," Beatrice fired at him but in a low tone... She was being cautious in case anyone would just walk in on them.
"What do you see?" Ben asked her, it seems he is getting used to taunting and teasing her now.
Beatrice glared into his eyes and sighed, "I don't know," She scoffed and looked away.
"Look at me," Ben voiced deeply, but Beatrice refused, knowing if she stared at his alluring blue eyes she could be trapped.
"No!" She refused.
Ben smirked and put his fingers under her chin forcing her to look into his eyes without saying anything he leaned real quick and took her lips in his and pulled away shortly, leaving Beatrice breathless and stunned.
"Actually, I was about to get the files here,"
They heard someone say and Beatrice pushed Ben as hard as she could and turned around, taking just a file on one of the shelves nearby, when they saw two workers show up beside them.
"Good morning sir," The two workers greeted Ben immediately while they bowed their heads slightly.
"Morning," Ben greeted them in a deep voice and cleared his throat.
"Do you mean this, sir?" Beatrice asked, quickly opening the file she just picked randomly and moved close to Ben to show him something just to confuse the ladies staring curiously at them.
"Not this, Ms. Coleman," Ben answered sternly, playing along as his lips twitched bemusedly.
"Oh my! I thought I saw it somewhere around here," Beatrice scurried back to one of the shelves, checking through the files.
She closed her eyes and sighed... Making sure to cuss Ben under her breath for putting her through this stress.
