Chapter 93 93
His brows furrowed tightly as he stared at the message again, trying to comprehend its meaning. Who would have sent such?
Alexa stirred and he quickly turned off the phone, dropping it as he closed his eyes.
Her eyes opened briefly and she raised her head, stretching her hands. She glanced at Liam and smiled a little before picking up her laptop and creating some designs she'd imagined while sleeping.
"Argh! My leg." Jade screamed as she got down from the plane.
"What's wrong?" Liam rushed towards her as he swooped her in his arms, making her giggle.
"They hurt so bad." She muttered.
"It's jet lag." He told her as he also carried Jace in his arms and started walking to the cars with the both of them.
The journey was fast as they got to the destination quickly but it was already so late, so they just quickly had a light dinner and slept off in the large beach house Alexa had rented for a week.
Liam's phone beeped at 6am in the morning and he groaned as he turned to check the message.
"RETURN MY KID BACK TO ME! AND LEAVE MY WIFE ALONE. DON'T YOU DARE MESS WITH ME!"
"What the he...." Liam scoffed lightly as he turned the phone off and was about to pull the duvet up when suddenly a loud alarm scaring the living daylights out of him resounded in the house.
A loud blaring speaker came on and Alexa's voice startled the already awake humans.
"Get out of bed, folks. Today is for the beach!" She screamed out and Liam sighed, releasing a cold breath. Yeah. Alexandra.
He got out of his bed and had a quick shower before coming downstairs in shorts and a black singlet, a towel on his neck. If they were going to the beach, he had to dress appropriately.
"Daddy!" Jade rushed to him and he picked her up, throwing in the air, before catching her again. She giggled loudly.
"Good morning, little champ." He ruffled Jace's hair and Jace frowned as usual, "Not the hair."
"Let everyone have something light before we all go to the sea." Alexandra said as she placed light breakfasts for everyone at the table. Liam dropped Jade on a chair and went ahead to help her.
"Good Morning." He was about to place a kiss on her cheek but she moved backwards, narrowing her eyes.
"Keep your lips to yourself." She hissed.
"Alexandra.." He muttered as she walked away, but he immediately pulled her hand, wrapping his arms around her waist as she hit his chest.
"You can't rob me of this one." He whispered and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Alexandra giggled against the kiss as she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"What is going on early this morning? It's barely eight in the morning and you are eating each other up?" Cassidy shook her head as she picked a cup from the counter and poured herself a cup of water.
"Ask your boyfriend to be here if you get too jealous." Alexa pulled away from Liam.
"He's busy," Cassidy dropped the empty cup as she glanced at Liam, "picking up the crumbs of what your boyfriend scattered?"
Liam folded his hands, "And what is that?" He asked.
"Couldn't you have destroyed Stella without destroying SH Apparels?"
"I didn't do that to them. It was found the Stella indulged in smuggling. It's not my fault and,...." He scoffed lightly, "Sam is your boyfriend?"
"Liam." Alexa warned, "Cassidy would tear you."
"She wouldn't dare." Liam scoffed.
"You should also keep your lips under wraps, Mr Jordans. You would be so sad if Alexa suddenly leaves because I wanted to change countries." Cassy smirked and he turned to her,
"She's going nowhere with you."
"You should have said few years ago. You would be bitterly proved wrong. I can't wait to see you cry again." She snapped and picked a plate of sandwich, hitting him by the shoulder as she walked away.
"Why are you taunting her?" Alexa asked.
"Are you supporting her or me? Alexa,it is not fair to choose your best friend over your husband."
"I see no ring. I don't have a husband, Mr Jordans." She waved her hand and walked out of the kitchen.
"Eugene, you look sleepy." Doreen said as Alexa walked towards the dining.
"I don't do well in new places." He muttered and everyone looked at him.
"How did you become a secretary?" Alexa asked.
"Well, I expressed that. I wonder why the boss picked me. Maybe, he was comfortable with that." Eugene said.
"I didn't pick you. Alexa did." Liam said and Alexa blinked.
"I did. When?" She asked.
FLASHBACK
"Pick one." He said and she looked at the papers in the transparent bottle, her lips twitching.
"Quickly." He muttered. She sighed and shook the bottle, before picking one of the papers.
Liam took it from her and unwrapped it, "What?" His brows narrowed, "This guy?" He muttered.
"What's that?" She leaned forward to see and he turned it to her.
"Eugene." She muttered, "Who is that?"
"Well, someone you would know in the future." He said and she blinked.
She never got to find out because that night was the last night they practically had fun together.
"Are you for real?" Alexandra placed a hand over her lips in shock, "Liam, you shouldn't trust people with matters like that. I mean, Eugene wasn't qualified and you picked him just like that. Is Glamour holdings a joke to you?" She snapped.
Eugene looked terrified hearing Alexandra's words, "What do you mean, I have gotten better." He said.
"I know that alright. But the job shouldn't have been given to you in the first place."
"Ms Chapman!" Eugene gasped in shock and everyone chuckled.
"Well, I guess you learned." Doreen shrugged.
"I'm practically the best now. After working with him for six years, he can't throw me out any longer." Eugene smirked.
"Should I just fire him?" Liam muttered and Eugene's eyes widened.
"You can't do that to me, boss."
