Ruby
Someone is knocking at the door, it definitely isn't Möbius, he knows the way in because he is one who locked it. I slowly walk to the door, “who is it.” I ask not daring to unlock it.
“Can you open the door from the inside, I already unlocked it?” A mans voice echoes from outside. Part of me is happy that someone might help me, but the other part is terrified.
“I'm afraid of Möbius, he has my kids.” I say. "plus I don't know who you are." I add.
“No he doesn't, your mates already took your children so you don't need to worry they are safe now.” the man says.
“Are you sure, please don't lie to me.” I beg, what if its someone Möbius sent to spy on me, what if he kills my children the moment I open the door. The thought of my children being harmed makes me stand rooted on the ground. I can't risk it, I take small steps backwards, and finally, I take a seat on the couch.
“Young lady why aren't you opening?” The voice asks.
“I'm sorry, I can't, I'm afraid.” Tears are streaming down my eyes, why is my life always like this, what did I do wrong.
“Okay then, you leave me with no choice.” He starts to say. “I need to punish Möbius myself.” This time his voice is right next to me, he is sitting right next to me. He stares me to a point where I almost fall out of the seat, but he grabs me and steadies me back to the seat.
“Be careful, daughter.” He says, smiling, he has a striking resemblance to Möbius and also Owen. He is a bit older, just maybe a couple of years apart from them. He must be their brother or something.
“No darling, I'm their father, and I'm here to take back Möbius to the underworld.” He can read my mind.
“You are my daughter-in-law, and you have had enough torment from my boy Möbius. At first, I didn't want to get involved but since he is now coveting my position, I can't let him off the hook, can I." He smiles again, but it doesn't reach his eyes. To be honest, he is quire scary.
“Don't worry I didn't come here to harm you or Owen or those beautiful grand babies of mine. So don't be scared, all I want now is for that bastard to show up so I can take him with me. And I promise you will never get to see him again, I'll make sure of that.” He says.
“He's almost here, I'm going to hide, don't tell him I'm here.” He says vanishing. I lie back in the same position I was and try as hard not to alarm him. I hear the door screeching open, I breathe even louder to show that I'm really sleeping. He locks the door slowly, his feet shuffles towards me and I feel his breath fanning my face. I try so hard not to react.
“You are gorgeous, Ruby.” He says, I feel his lips on my forehead. “I will never let you go.” He adds in his evil tone.
I feel his hands tuck some hair behind my ears. he disgusts me, I only want my mates to touch me. It feels weird having another man's arms on my body.
“Wait a minute, what is that scent?” Möbius says in a higher tone, and I immediately pretend to awaken.
“Are you okay?” I ask yawning. “ My kids." I get up the couch in a hurry and grab both his hands. His angry gaze changes into concern.
“They are safe, I promised you, and I always keep my promises.” He smiles. “Someone is in here… let me…” before he can finish his sentence an invisible rope restrains both his arms and legs, and he falls to the ground.
“Shit, why didn't you tell me Ruby you bitch, you betrayed me.” He shouts trying to get off. "My father is here and you didn't alert me? Did you conspire with him huh, I'm going to kill you Ruby literally. You are a traitor. Just pray to your goddess that I don't get out of these because I will wipe your family clean." He threatens. Every inch of my body trembles, his body almost turns scary but his father does something and he goes back to normal.
"Quiet son, your threats won't surface." He does something again with his hands and Möbius goes mute. It's like he pressed a mute button on his body.
“Thank you daughter, now I will handle it from here. Go home and be happy, but first tell my son Owen to be happy. And that I'm proud of him for accomplishing to unite all three realms. He didn't covet my position and cause chaos like this other son of mine.” He says. “Tell him I'm sorry for everything.” He adds, I just nod. He does something with his finger and in just seconds I find myself in my kid's room, the actual house I live with my mates.
“Ruby, you are okay.” Damien rushes and hugs me so tightly. I don't see Owen and Rowan, I'm sure they are still searching for me.
“Yes love I'm perfect, the kids.” I ask.
“They are okay, a pediatrician checked them a while ago, don't worry. You are the one we are worried about. Wait, I'll call Damien and Rowan to come back.” He picks his phone and calls them.
“What about Zama.” Despite all she has done to me, I still care about her.
“She was imprisoned, by my beta, she awaits trial for harming the Alphas children.” Damien says looking at me, he the pulls me into an embrace.
“I know she was and still is your friend. I know you feel bad for her, but she has to pay.” He says firmly, I just nod, snuggling deep into his chest. He smells so nice, I'm glad nothing happened to me and my babies.
Days go by, but I'm still afraid that Möbius will be back. His angry voice as he threatened me still ran through my mind for a long while. After years of not seeing him again, I finally believed he had left for good.
Our babies grew, went to school, graduated, each of them started their carriers away from the pack. Asher became a pilot, Andy a doctor and Asia studied tourism, now she travels all over the world. I'm proud of them, I can't ask for more.
