Chapter 91
Owen
“He helped me.” Ruby refers to the guy she called Alfie. Despite being grateful, I feel so jealous that I can't look at him twice. Have we crossed paths with this guy before? I feel so enraged that we weren't the ones who came to her rescue. All in all, I'm still grateful.
“I’m so sorry, Ruby. I didn’t mean for you to get hurt like that.” Möbius’ voice brings me back to reality.
Before I can say a word, Damien and Rowan corner him by grabbing both his arms.
“Take his bracelet off.” I shout knowing he can teleport before getting the punishment he deserves. Immediately Damien takes it off neutralizing his powers. All he can do now is fight fair and square, and I'm sure Rowan and Damien can take him.
I don’t want to put Ruby down , I'm afraid something might happen to her again , but I also want to deal with this bastard of a brother.
“Don’t worry we will take care of him.” Rowan states as if he has been reading my mind.
Out of nowhere a whirlwind appears causing a ruckus all over. I cover Ruby with my body so she doesn’t inhale all the dust. I wonder what caused it. I'm already set to protect Ruby from whatever it is. I also see how dangerous where I'm sitting, we are still just feets from the cliff.
“We will take him.” a female voice says startling me. Who are they taking?
“He can't continue messing with the balance of nature like this.” Another female voice adds. "Möbius we are going to let the gods punish you for defying everything that was set. For trying to subdue what was decided by the gods." Oh so they are taking that bastard.
"Who the fk are you." Möbius yells.
"You will get to know in due time, for now let the young lady enjoy her mates." The voice says in arrogance.
The voices seem so familiar too it's like deja vu.
We can only hear the voices I try so hard to see who they belonged to, but I don't succeed and in just seconds, Möbius disappears from in between Damien and Rowans arms. It happens so fast that we can't even explain it.
Ruby is so afraid that I can feel her heartbeat escalating.
“I’m here, baby don’t be afraid.” I assure her, and the grip she has on me loosens, as she opens her eyes. She is so beautiful even in these chaos. I am busy admiring my mate when I notice Alfie crouching right beside me entirely ignoring my glares. He's got guts this guy, he is getting on my nerves, though. Immediately Damien and Rowan squat beside me, I’m not the only insecure one here, they can clearly see the threat in Alfie as well.
“Ruby you are safe so I'll go now, I promise I will see you very soon.” Alfie says smiling so widely, I feel like punching his face so hard that he will lose his memory of Ruby completely.
“Thank you so much for everything.” Ruby answers with a smile on her face. I want to close her mouth so badly. My inner demon is beyond annoyed.
Alfie takes a long look at Ruby before walking away without looking back.
“Let's go home now my mates.” Ruby smiles even more adorably to us and in a flash I forget all the anger I had.
“Okay baby.” Rowan embraces all of us and in seconds we are back to my apartment.
Ruby
“How are you feeling now baby?” Owen asks, he hasn’t put me down ever since we got back. It feels so nice just being in his arms, but I know I’m filthy I need to clean up.
“I’m fine, baby please can you put me down now?” I ask.
“No way, I will never let go of you again Ruby.” He says taking a seat, and holding me like an actual baby.
“Mhm really, well, I would love to be in your arms like this forever but for now, I need to take a shower I’m sure I’m stinking right now.” I say.
"That should never worry you Ruby, your scent is always heavenly.” he smiles placing a soft kiss on my lips. I want to deepen it, but I’m not that confident right now. I’m just glad I’m back with them. I’m glad my baby is safe too.
Rowan comes back smiling, “The bath water is ready darling, but we will have to keep an eye on you all through, we can't manage to leave your side for even a second.” They are being too overprotective, but I love it. I love the attention. I know they feel guilty for what happened to me. I will have to do something to make them feel at ease. I am still shaken up, but I will be strong just for my mates. I love them so much, and I will do anything just to put them at ease.
“Alright my beautiful mates, I am safe here with you and besides Möbius was taken by the gods if I'm not wrong, I still don’t even know how they came by, but I am just grateful that they took him. I hope he gets punished.” I sigh. “I’m also glad that none of you have blood stains I know you wanted to rip him apart, I’m just glad. So please stop worrying.” I beg them. They look at me for a while, did I get through to them?
“No still we will watch you.” Rowan says and Owen nods. It's of no use.
Owen looks at me as if he wants to say something, I look deep into his eyes, 'I'm sorry baby for what my brother did to you.' He apologizes, he blames himself.
'Hey baby.' I answer in my mind because I know he is listening. We are alone Rowan went to the bathroom. I cup his face in my palms. He sighs, his eyes are teary and he keeps swallowing hard. ' Stop it, it's not your fault he is just evil. I love you so much Owen with all my heart. So don't feel that way it will hurt me okay.' I add. I look at him for a while and when his expression changes, I kiss his lips softly. He smiles widely and pulls me towards him. He sniffs my hair and kisses my neck. Every inch of my body responds to every little touch. I want him, he can smell it.
“Alright then take me to the bathroom.” I say trying to stop him. I need to clean myself up. He clears his throat and pauses looking at me, his eyes are full of lust and so are mine.
Owen carries me to the bathroom, stands at the door and watches me take a shower. I want him so badly but I’m so tired, I also can see how hard he is struggling to control himself.
I feel refreshed after the hot shower Owen helps me out of the tub, we find Damien back he brought me clothes. My own clothes, suddenly I miss my room, and my mother. But then I think of Zama, my one and only friend who betrayed me so badly. I can't tell my mates, they will probably hurt her due to rage, all I want is to hear it from her mouth. I want to understand why she chose to do that to me. I put on my sweat pant set and my mates tuck me in, so I can have some rest. I refuse to have food because I'm still shaken up.
