Chapter 22: Who???

Chapter 22: Who???
Four days later
...
Of course, she knew he would leave her again for the so called business. But she hadn’t expected that Jalan would make it so soon. He’d spent just six days and left on the seventh which turned out to be Today’s morning. Now is noon time, and she’s alone in the house with Patrick, Ambrose and chef Rolando who only comes once in a while when she needs home cooked food. Jalan said he would return by next week though there’s no any guarantee he wouldn’t be staying there for the next three months again. What suck more to her was the fact that he uses a different line in that Vanuatu.
Still...
She thought this might be the right time for her to escape her hellish marriage and find out who she really was. It was hard to admit it, but she’d thought through things over and over again, and according to her research, she suspected that Jalan might be a sociopath _ as most of the symptoms she saw in him had correlated to that of a sociopath husband. That explains his miserable coldness, over-possessiveness, manipulation and lack of empathy towards her. He must have faked her death and wiped away her memory to trap her in a forced marriage. He hadn’t even explained to her who the guy Sino was, and even though she deliberately refused to bring up the matter again, he should’ve make an attempt to offer an explanation _ if he was any normal man.
From her own deductions, Sino is now the only connection between reality and falsehood. She will keep things a secret from Patrick and Ambrose. She will have to escape the eyes of her bodyguards and go back to that O’Reilly bar to make some enquiries.
The summer in Havana was getting hotter. Instead of turning on the air conditioner in her room, Anna decided to open the window for some natural fresh air. She rolled the curtain up and secured it with the tie back. Her eyes fell on the outside scenery and she admired the rainbow color in the sky even though she’d been feeling moody and frustrated with her marital life. Anna lowered her gaze to the tall black gate which seemed to have been left open by either Ambrose or Patrick as their quarter was also located within the gate _ two smaller apartments by each side of the big flat mansion. It was unusual because Ambrose was very cautious and hardly leaves the gate open.
Anna pushed her legs into her slippers and walked out of her room. She advanced into the sitting room and reached for the main door, tying her hair in a ponytail before moving outside. As soon as she stepped into the front lawn, her eyes fell on a walkie talkie on the ground_ similar to the one Patrick use to hold.
The fact that the gate was left open was already odd, and now a walkie talkie on the ground? She felt a bad feeling.
Suddenly, two masked men appeared out of nowhere and attached Anna from both sides.
“Who are you!” Fear and panic made her voice to come out rather shaky as she struggled to no avail to set herself free.
She felt herself being choked with a handkerchief and she instantly drifted to sleep. The men kidnapped Anna and took her away.
Time Skipped To Next Day
...
Waking up next, she found herself sleeping on a comfortable bed balanced at the earth of a large, well furnished room. Expensive modern furniture, cool wallpaper design, small chandelier in the middle, frames and paintings which Anna did not focused on as her eyes shifted to the sleeping gown on her body.
What on Earth happened? She remembered the men taking her away, but from there on, she doesn’t remember any more. Who were those men? What is this place? She sprang out of bed and advanced to the door which she noticed was left opened.
Stepping out of the room, a delicious smell of something like friend potatoes welcomed her nose, but she froze up there staring at the exotic stairs which was linking her to the down floor. She felt something... an overwhelming feeling of familiarity with the environment around her now. She has been there before.
Anna tried to focus on her new memories but all of a sudden, her head began to throb with adrenaline pumping in her veins when she set her eyes on the blonde man disgustingly smirking at her downstairs. She remembered that evil face. She remembered who he was. Tears from nowhere started flowing from her eyes. Like an invisible arrow has pierced her in the heart, grief and pain threatened to weakened her but she flung herself and skipped through the stairs, speedily flying in the air with hand balled into fists. She reached the blonde guy and aimed to punch him in the face but he caught her fist and rolled her hands to her back.
“Fuck! Dove... Is that how you say hello to an ex?”
“You bastard son of a two faced bitch... Life will punish you for what you did to me. Don’t touch me or I will kill you Nate! You are a disgrace to mankind! You are a terrible psycho!”
