Riona was allowed the best sleep ever. She only fluttered her eyes opened when the sun blazed the clear blue sky, rays of light climbed into her room, and cracks of light shimmered on her face.
She gasped in fear with memories and disappointment from the other night. Unable to fathom her new environment, she started crying again but then a voice called out to her.
“Pretty princess don’t cry” Mrs.Selena said with a concerned look.
She’s an old woman in her 60s but healthier than most in her age.
Riona grabs the duvet up to hide her face “Please don’t hurt me, you can have everything please,” she pleaded.
Mrs.Selina moved closer to her and took her hands into hers.
“You don’t have to be scared of us girl,he’s not as people said he is. You are safe here” she assured.
“What? I’m sorry ma’am... w-where am I?” Riona stuttered.
“You shouldn’t stress yourself yet, it’s a happy day for everyone of us, it’s your wedding day,” she said with a faint smile.
Riona could not help but exclaimed with a puzzled face “Whose wedding? Wait am I dead? Did Olive finally killed me cause of his girlfriend? Am in heaven oh goodness,” she cried out.
They heard knocks on the door which made her stop crying for a while. Three maids entered on Mrs.Selina’s call.
“I chose the best wedding dress. Get ready for Black,” she said still holding her hands.
“Black who? Am lost please, where am I?”
“Well your father gave your hands in marriage to my son, Black Salvator and your wedding is today,” she explained.
Riona’s mouth was wide opened on hearing this. She couldn’t believe her ears. No one wouldn’t know of Black Salvator in this city and he’s known for his tyrannical behavior. He’s ruthless and emotionless as a stone but now she would be getting married to him.
“My boyfriend cheated on me, got my properties and tried to kill me and now this? Why is my life cursed like this?” She mumbled.
Before she could say anything else ,the maids took her into the bathroom to help with her bath, applied makeup on her and left her in a robe.
Finally she noticed they were satisfied with whatever they were doing, she tried to explain herself. “Ma’am I think you got the wrong person,my name is Riona Rodriego and I’m...
Her voice trailed off when she heard approaching footsteps. It’s different from regular footsteps and her heart beat could testify to that. Unable to evade the anxiety wrestling within her, she hold Mrs.Selina’s hand tighter than before who glanced at her to see her so frightened.
Black emerged from the opened door fully dressed in a red tuxedo. His curls styled in the most attractive manner and his build so strong enough to make her shrink.
It seems anytime he looks into her eyes, he might end up being lost. He couldn’t take his eyes off her honey gold flecked eyes, her dainty nose and chiseled cheekbone carved to perfection.
“I’m giving you 20 minutes,” he finally found the word.
“Oh and your father is here, you might want to make haste so you can see him within the 20 minutes I’m offering,” he warned.
Riona gulped down her false Saliva. She knew whatever that was coming for her won’t be that good at all. Everything around Black Salvator is illegal businesses, a mafia leader.., so definitely the person he mentioned to be her father should be one of those bad guys as well.
“I don’t even have a father... oh God is this a second chance at life? Not this please,” she thought inwardly unable to say the words out.
Riona suddenly feels so heavy with everything going on. Her mouth could not open to say a word and she’s looking so miserable and weary as they strapped her wedding dress on her. It was beaded with pearls and touch of lace on the upper part of the long flowing wedding dress.
She was soon left alone in a room after the maids asked her to get ready for her father.
Her heart thumped so loud against the wall of her chest that she feels it could be heard across the hallway. It thumped faster when she heard an approaching footsteps.
She nearly fainted when Angelico, the city’s second richest Mafia leader entered the room with two of his men.
He had heard about Black finding his daughter but he could not believe it because the real Farah had sent a message to him last night that she would disappear and live a new life with her boyfriend.
He stared at her carefully with a straight face and his cigarette smoke writing danger all over the room.
Angelico made a sign to one of his men who rushed to where Riona was standing and start to undress her.
Riona put up a fight and pleaded for her safety while trying to convince him at the same time but they rough handled either way.
The zip caught her skin and it turned red. She moaned a soft cry as the men exposed her bare back to Angelico but she guarded her chest with her two hands.
She dared not to complain but she felt wronged, the glare in her eyes says it all.
“How dare you glare at the boss?” One of the men yelled at her.
“Don’t touch her, Black would get mad if her makeup is ruined” Angelico said.
“I guess you knew already that I’m not your daughter!” Riona cried out.
Angelico paced up and down the room for few seconds to check her out. “Of course,y ou don’t have the birthmark on her back,” He said with a chuckle.
Riona pleaded to him to say the truth and let her leave from this death hole but he refused.
“ My family is on your shoulder young girl, and don’t you dare tell Black anything else I will kill you. Well you will die anyway because Black hates liars,” he said then leaned closer to her face and Riona stepped back in fear.
“What do you think will happen if he finds out you’re an imposter? Before he gets to me,y ou will die first,” he threatened.
Tears welled up Riona’s face and her voice wavered slightly. Rage mounted in her but she’s helpless.
“Your life is in your hands Riona Rodriego!” He called.
