Angelico caught an approaching footsteps and ordered his men to help with Riona’s dress.
Mrs.Selena entered the room, the atmosphere was lukewarm, she noticed the strange atmosphere but could not get her hand on the exact feeling of it. Riona sniffs in her tears and forced out a smile.
“We were just having a little father to daughter moment” Angelico said feigning tears.
Riona got the chance to frown up at him before glancing at the woman in front of her. She thought to herself that the woman must be nice so she could always try her luck later.
Disappointment bubbled within her when she was told the rugged mafia man would be the one to walk her to the aisle where Black would be waiting for her.
“This way my dear” Angelico’s voice smacked her back to reality.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Riona walked to the aisle with Angelico as her father,he whispered softly into her ears before leaving her to Black.
Her life turned upside in just a night, now she’s getting married to the most dangerous Mafia leader over her looks.
Her heart traveled miles with every steps she took towards Black who was waiting for her with a straight face.
On getting to him,her gold flecked eyes got lost in his blue ones, she had heard of the dangerous part of him but never thought the beautiful part could exist and be so noticeable.
“Do you Farah Angelico take Black Salvator to be your lawfully wedded husband?” The priest voice brought her back to reality, only then she realized she had spaced out.
“I do” she replied and that was the end of her life as Riona Rodriego.
“I hereby pronounce you husband and wife” The priest said and everyone stood up on their feet to celebrate them.
After the taking the vows, the real party commenced and Mrs.Selena waste no choice in getting Riona changed into a new outfit.
She could not believe her eyes when they finished her makeup and how well her outfit hugged her body.
She looked from her body to the door where the old woman was with pairs of red stilettos and a warm smile on her face.
Before she got to her,Riona stood up to take the shoes from her leaving her stunned with her behavior.
“I don’t know why you agreed to this marriage out of the blue after so much drama but... please he is a nice person” Mrs.Selena said with a warm face.
Riona stood expressionless, she was confused about where to start her story.
“Ma’am please you need to listen to me, I don’t want this marriage... I think you’ve got the wrong person.” She explained.
“Are you scared of him that much? If you are doing this to escape from here my dear. I’m afraid it’s too late. You’ve already been married to him and your father did this to strengthen the bond with him,” Mrs.Selena explained.
“Who wouldn’t be scared of Black?” Riona groaned softly but she was heard.
“We are getting late,” she informed her and she put on her shoes carefully.
On getting to the big hall, Riona appears to be the most beautiful woman in the party, apart from being the bride, her beauty is ethereal and the amount of money spent on her makeup really showed.
Her eyes met with Blacks’ lingering glances on her making her shudder in fear.
She then saw Angelico making his attempt to approach her and she got scared the more.
“Black is inescapable but this man is one worst nightmare” she uttered beneath her breath as she spun on her heels to where Black is with his friends.
For the first time since morning, she acted like Farah, the bold and Sassy lady as reported to her by Angelico. He had whispered some simple information to her earlier.
She went to Black’s table to avoid the old mafia man and with her eyes still fixed on him she didn’t realize how many people Black is seated with.
She saw Angelico returned to his table then heaved a sigh of relief.
She turned around to meet Black’s piercing gaze on her so close that it sends shiver down her spine.
“I... uhm I was too tired and needed a seat” she stuttered.
Black’s friends chuckled slightly but he maintained a cold straight face which catalyzed her heart beat loud enough to be heard by Black.
A waitress served her cup the moment she was sighted with Black.
He stared at her chest, heaving up and down with a glazed misty eyes before looking away from her with mixed feelings. It seems to be the first time an emotion would cross his face cause his friends stopped laughing almost immediately.
“You must be quite restless about tonight” Black said lifting up his glass of wine.
Riona was about to sip from her cup when Black said that to her, making her choke on the wine.
All eyes were on her and she clenched her fist at the embarrassing moment.
She was given a glass of water to calm herself down.
“What happened to the reports I’ve gotten about you lady Farah? The first and last time we met was when you spiked my drink at a party right?” He said with a smirk.
Confused and with no idea how to reply to this accusation when she’s not Farah, she bit her lips so nervous.
This only made her look so seductive but she has no idea what message she just passed.
“You don’t have to do that here” Black said then gulped down another glass of alcohol on his table.
He leaned closer to her and whispered behind her ears “ We’ve got the whole night to ourself” He said to her.
Riona’s eyes bulged out in surprise and she started picking on her nails feeling so nervous.
“If they’ve met just once then he should be able to know I’m not Farah... gosh their first meeting wasn’t that good.” She mumbled.
“Wait, does that mean he will try to....” On realizing what his entire statement meant, she screamed a no and stood up immediately.
