The sound of slot machine grinds continuously across the hallway and gradually towards the big room is a roulette table and wheels. Black Salvator being the richest underworld mafia in the city has many Casinos and properties and he planned to spend the night in one of them before the engagement party the next day.
He was playing with his guests when his personal man the underboss came to report to him.
“They haven’t found her yet sir” he reported.
Black was sitting on his big chair with his legs crossed over the other but a change in his leg movement stopped everything, the music, girls dancing and even the laughs.
He dropped his cigarette in a glass tray and gently removed his hat. With a dismal wave of his hand, the lively activities in the room continued and his personal bodyguard heaved a sigh of relief ---- at least he won’t kill anyone today.
Brushed his unruly curls from his forehead and his pretty ocean eyes came into view.
“Where is Peter? Told him to find her too,” he said with a smirk as he puts two guns on the table.
“I’m sorry sir, he lost her,” he replied with uncertainty in his tone.
“So he found her but lost her?” He chuckled then all of a sudden, cocks his gun and fired down two men behind Ace his personal bodyguard.
“That’s a warning, never report to me a failed mission!” He said with one of his brows raised.
“And as for peter, ICE him” he added.
Ace bowed and turned to leave when he fired a shot amidst air. “Prepare my car,” he ordered.
“I will go with you sir” Ace proposed.
“Nah, I will find her myself. You can go to the cold room cause I wanna see that useless thing all frozen up by the time I’ll return,” He said.
Ace replied affirmative and left with a worried look. Black doesn’t do much of the works but they know once he decides to stress himself for his job, there will be cold bodies.
Black rode his Mercedes like air in it’s full speed, he glanced at the other seat with a smirk on his lips on sighting his gun sitting comfortably.
The rain is much and he seems to be having a good time driving to go kill someone. His eyes drifted off to the side mirror and he could sight three cars behind him already,he giggled at his own principle. His men followed him anyway despite telling them to stay away.
Just then, his phone started ringing and the name caught his attention that he had to slow down. In the course of doing that,a lady almost ran into his car but lucky for her, he had slowed down.
“The f*ck” he cursed as he swerved to the left side of the road to avoid hitting the figure or maybe he was really going to fulfill her wish tonight.
His gun fell off the seat and his phone dropped as well,he raised his head up in anger and a little bruises could be seen.
His men pulled over immediately and alighted from the cars fully armed.
Black walked to the front of his car only to see a poor lady drenched in rain and passed out.
He was about to turn around to leave when he saw two guys staring at him and shivering. He could read and understand their faces as a mafia boss he is. He’s got experience with such people and he knew they were bad guys but that wasn’t his concern cause he’s got a place to be.
He dismissed his men and turned to leave when the lady let out a soft cry and mouthed a cry for help. He felt a tug on his heart which somehow forced him to spare a second glance.
The lady is shivering and the best he could do is order his men take her to the hospital but then she stirred up a bit. He stood utterly repulsed and brows raised with a mischievous smirk on his face.
“Look who we’ve got here? Lady cat!” He uttered then glanced back to his men who couldn’t approach him yet because they weren’t given permission to follow him.
He crouch beside her under the drizzle not minding his wet clothes.
He carefully removed the scattered strands of hair on her face to get a good look but he got trapped instead. He has always heard of Farah’s beauty and sassy attitude. People call her a dark potion but lying down here on a wet road puts a call off to the rumor. She’s looking so scared, innocent and with the most angelic face ever.
“H-elp me” she said softly amidst tears then closed her eyes again and that was the end of it all. The mighty Black Salvatore melted on hearing her call for help.
Every weird feelings rushed at him. He felt the urge to protect her and put a bullet through the brain of anyone that wanna cause her harm.
He carefully lift her up in his arms leaving his men in confusion.
Ace rushed forward to get the door for him though but when he saw the face of the strange girl, his confusion disappeared but his amusement remained, how his boss found lady Farah so easily on the road.
He stayed away while Black drove to the mansion immediately and they followed.
****************
Everyone was left stunned to see the boss carry a lady into the house in his arms. Even his mother could not believe it. The only one the mighty Black Salvatore fears is his mother and she had called him earlier not to cause much trouble but he couldn’t pick it.
He laid her back on his bed,her chestnut brown hair sprawled generously on the pillow beneath her head. He then ordered for the maids to attend to her.
“She fainted from shock, I want her up for the wedding tomorrow,” he said stroking his wet hair to the back.
His mother came in from behind “A wedding?! Not an engagement anymore?” She questioned.
“She tried to run mama, ain’t gon let her escape from her duties in saving her family from death. I’ll marry her tomorrow “ he said then kissed his mother on the forehead before leaving.
Mrs.Selina could not take her eyes off unconscious Riona as well and she sighed softly, “I hope he would be able to keep her and not scare her off as well” she said.
