Black sighed as he dropped the frame on the table when his phone chimed. It was a text message from Michael. Shaking his head, he tapped on it to read.
“Sup dude, so you finally tied the knot and you didn’t tell me, or Mikey huh?”
“Sorry man, it was quite unexpected. She ran away and….You know what it is a long story.” He sent back as his phone chimed quickly with a reply.
“Long story huh? Well it is a good thing that we are headed to your company, or you can’t leave the bed because your wife is in it. Dude I can’t believe you married that wild girl Farah. I thought you would go for a meek girl but I guess you like the wild sex.”
Black rolled his eyes when he saw this message. This was one of the reasons why he wished he could murder his friends. They were always naughty and straight to the point. Faking a scowl, he quickly typed
“Headed to my company? I thought Mikey had his fiancee to meet today? I am not at home and no, that was not the reason I married Farah. She is a tad different now and we haven’t done it yet.”
“Yes he did, we will tell you all about it when we see. Farah different? I doubt it, don’t you reply that masked ball where she…. wait you two haven’t had sex? Are you terrified or not man enough? And better get your ass down here to the office. We killed Gadreel, and there is a lot going on in the mafia world that we need to keep you abreast of. You just ghosted and went and ‘GOT MARRIED’ ”
Black slapped his face when he saw this. He so badly wanted to throttle Michael now, but he knew that he was just teasing him a bit. And it also seemed that Michael was definitely not letting him off the hook that easily for not inviting them to his wedding.
“Okay fine, I get it you are mad, I am sorry. And I will be there in a jiffy. You guys seriously need to tell me things even more than ever now because I will soon be heading for my honey moon and mother is going to make sure I cut all contacts with work. Believe me, even trying to leave now is going to be a real hassle, but I will be there in less than an hour. Just wait for me in my office.”
“Sure thing man. Greet Mrs Selena for me and tell her that I said if she was 45 years younger I would totally do her.”
“What did I say about hitting on my mum? Do you have a death wish or something. You will pay for this when I get there.” He clicked on send and dropped the phone in his pockets as he stooped up grabbing his suitcase that laid at the foot of the table. The suitcase didn’t even contain documents or money, it contained ammunition and guns in case he ran into any difficulties on the way. He pressed a button as one of his bodyguards suddenly rushed into the study.
“Boss you called?” He said with respect as Black nodded his head saying,
“Yes Simon, make sure that the bodies in the ice room are cleared and disposed leaving no trace then keep an eye out on mother and my wife for me. I am heading to the company and I will be back late.” He said as the guard nodded his head and said,
“Sir, should I call more bodyguards that will escort you safely to the company?” He said as Black just shook his head.
“I can take care of myself. Just stick to the jobs I gave you. You may leave.” He said as the guard saluted before turning and walking away. Black looked at the mirror and realized that he wasn’t putting on a tie. Damn it, he quickly took one from the ward robe and carried his briefcase walking away from the study.
Black was leaving through the front door wearing his tie when his mum and Riona walked through the front garden laughing as they met each other. Mrs Selena took one good look at her son and immediately had a frown on her face as she said,
“And where do you think you are going young man? Have you forgotten that you are supposed to be getting to know your wedded wife?” She asked as Riona quickly bowed her head down, feeling self conscious a bit. Black merely let his eyes glance at her for a second and back to his mum as he said,
“Mum, you got this. Besides we have the honey moon that YOU planned to get to know ourselves better. Besides there is some things that I need to wrap up in the company, just to ensure the smooth running before we get back. You understand, don’t you?”
“Black, it is almost 3pm, nobody is expecting you in the company. They all know that you got married and is probably enjoying the honey moon so there is no need for you to go. On the other hand there are a lot of things that you can do here.” She said trying to take his briefcase from him but Black held onto it tightly and said,
“Sorry mum, I got to do this okay. I will see you in the evening.” He said kissing her forehead and waved briskly at Riona who nodded her head before sauntering off. Mrs Selena sighed a bit sad,
“That boy….he always likes doing things his own way. But he won’t have time to do the more important things here.” She said as she leaned onto Riona who lead her to a nearby chair and helped her to sit down.
“Don’t worry too much about it. Mr Black is a very dilligent man, and he does have a point. He will be back before you know it.” Riona said trying to pacify the old lady who nodded her head.
She gazed at the sky so lost in it for she's totally confused about the mess she's in.
