Chapter 33 An unexpected bond.
~~Alexanders pov~~
ONE DAY AGO
After everybody had evacuated Damien's sinking ship I laid faceup one of the beds in the room.
I hadn't come out, nor had I eaten anything.
I mourned Joseph's death; I mourned how weak I had become because of my attraction to Charlotte.
The knock on the door suddenly brought me back to reality. I groaned as I slipped out of bed, my feet padded against the hard wooden floor as i reached for the doorknob, and pulled it open.
I blinked as my gaze caught Ezera.
“Ezera what are you doing here?” I raked my hand through my hair as I spoke.
She wore a concerned expression on her face, and in her hand was a cup of tea, and on the other was canned food. “I…I don't usually do this, but I thought you needed to eat something.”
I let out a breath like I had been holding it in for years. “I don't need food.” I walked away from the door.
She walked in and shut the door behind her, “You haven't eaten for hours”
“Why do you care?” I slumped on the bed and watched her lay the food on a desk.
“I don't know” she admitted , her hands pressed to her sides, “But you should eat…if you want” she added and turned to walk out.
“My ship has better food you know” my voice was raspy, she didn't need to know that, I think I just wanted her to stay.
She slowly turned around and tucked her red hair behind her ear, “What ?You don't like canned food?” She smiled, “We weren't planning to use this ship; it's an emergency. Damien usually stocks up his ships before travel; he hires the best chefs.” She slowly walked towards me as she spoke.
“I know..…I have been on his cruise before,”
The bed creaked as she sat beside me. “Do you want to know why I'm really here?”
I looked at her, “You are falling for me.”
She chuckled, “No, my heart is aching from seeing Damien and Charlotte together; I need a distraction.”
“I'm a distraction?”
“You are funny; even when you are hurt, you always find a way to lighten up the mood.” Her tears clouded her vision, and she pouted, “I could use some of those jokes right about now.” Her voice shook.
My hands drew to her face, and I tucked her hair behind her ear; her skin was soft like a flower. I reached her freckles with my thumb, and she just gazed back at me, as if she wondered why I was touching her. I did too.
She blinked, and tears streamed down her cheeks. I wiped them off; she was hurt, just like I was. She couldn't have a man she wanted, and I couldn't have a woman I wanted, a woman that had greatly hurt me.
“I think we both need a therapist”
She smiled, “Stop.”
She shook her head. “Maybe coming in here was a great idea.” She stood up and began to walk off.
“Hey hey!” I quickly stood up and ran after her. I grabbed her arm and spun her around. “Did I do something wrong?”
She shook her head, “No.” She yanked her hand away from mine, but as she turned to walk off, her body bumped against a desk, and a vase tipped and fell the pieces shattered across the floor. “Shit, I'm sorry,” she apologized as she knelt and began to pick the pieces up.
“You don't have to do that.” I reached for her.
She winced in pain; she had made a cut on her thumb.
“I told you to stop,” I pulled her up. “Why are you so stubborn?” I moved her towards my bed.
As my face swept up to her face had reddened, she was suppressing a cry. A long, slow exhale escaped me. I cupped her face in my hands. “You can cry if you want.”
She shook her head. “I don't want to cry.”
“Ezera….come on”
Her face twisted into a frown as she began to cry. I pulled her closer and wrapped her up in my arms; she laid her head on my chest and wept.
“How do I get over him?”
“Meaningless sex,” I said bluntly. I had always been so blunt, joking at all times, whether it was a serious situation or not; it was a habit I picked up when I was younger; it helped me ignore my pain.
She blinked at me, shocked at my words, “I… I…” she stuttered.
“Sorry…I didn't mean that I…”
“Let's do it,” she cut in, her fingers curled around my shirt.
I shook my head, “No…I.. I'm sorry I didn't mean…”My words trailed off.
Silence fell upon the room until the only sound you could hear was our heavy breathing. My hands pressed against her hips and I swallowed.
“If you don't want to do it, then…”
“Just once, and we'll never talk about it again,” I said.
She nodded.
My lips drew closer to hers, and I pressed my lips against it; the kiss deepened, and soon our clothes were on the ground. “Get on the bed,” I instructed, and she instantly obeyed.
I clenched my fists tightly as I gazed at her pale, slender body; the way her breasts danced against her chest as she slumped into the bed made my heart race. Gosh, when she parted her legs and I gazed at her core, it was hairless and pink.
“Are you sure about this?”
She nodded, “Yeah.”
I climbed over her and immediately pressed my lips against hers again. Her hand traced down my chest until it reached my cock and she grabbed it in her hands.
My breathing grew ragged as she began to stroke it.
I placed my lips on her chest, kissing every inch of her soft skin, “Argh…” I groaned with pleasure as she stroked faster.
“Stop…stop…stop,” I begged.
She stopped instantly. “What?” Her brows pinched together.
“I'm going to put it in,” I spoke softly. I grabbed my cock and gently slid it into her; she gasped.
“Does it hurt?” My eyes searched hers.
She shook her head, “No it's feels good”
As I began to thrust, she shut her eyes, and her lips formed an O shape. I covered her lips with mine and thrust faster.
Soon her body convulsed against mine as she reached her climax.
We went another round, and another, and another until we both laid breathless in the bed.
“I'm leaving” Ezera stood instantly and began to undress.
“Don't you want to catch your breath first?”
She shook her head , as she dressed up I scanned the bruises I had caused on her, I had dug my fingers into her hips and it left a mark, my teeth on her neck and chest.
I slipped out of bed and walked towards her.
She blinked as she watched me grab her hand; I stroked it, “I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.”
She slipped her hand away from mine. “I'm okay.” She turned around and began to head out. As she pulled the door open, she turned to look at me. “Never speak of this again.”
She stepped out and shut the door.
I sighed and slumped on the bed, an unnerving silence followed, the sex indeed was a good distraction, but for some reason I missed it already.
The annoying buzz of my phone filled the air interrupting my thoughts.
I immediately picked it up; it was an unknown number, but I knew it was Celeste. I swiped the screen and pressed the phone to my ear. “Hello.”
“I don't even want to ask how Damien
knew about my plan so well that he could ruin it. I have another plan; promise not to fuck it up?”
I thought for a second, “I promise.”
