Chapter 28~IRRESISTABLE CONFESSION

Chapter 28~IRRESISTABLE CONFESSION
~Cherry’s POV

I thought this had to be a lie! Nathan? At my place? Why would he come here? But I had to see for myself. I stepped outside without even telling my mom. And guess what? I saw him, standing there! Staring right at me.

Before I could even say a word, he rushed toward me and kissed me so hard I couldn’t breathe. My whole body froze. I pushed him away angrily did he really come here just to do this?!

“Cherry,” he called softly.

“Why are you here?” I snapped.

“Didn’t I tell you that I missed you?” he said gently.

“Good for you! So what? You’ll just show up whenever you miss me?” I said, trying to hide the crack in my voice.

He had no idea. No idea how much I had missed him like crazy. These past days without him felt like hell. Not even the bullies at school, not even Tasha’s constant torment or the way his fans attacked me hurt as much as not seeing Nathan. And now here he was, right in front of me! It almost felt like a dream.

But then what? Was he going to make the same mistake again? Another kiss, another scandal, another time for him to tell the world it was all a “mistake”? Just the thought of it tore me apart.

“I’m sorry, Cherry,” he whispered, eyes locked on me.

“Sorry for what?” I glared at him.

“I know you hate me.” He stepped closer.

“I don’t hate you. I hate myself,” I whispered. He reached for my hand, but I didn’t take his.

“My mom is waiting for me,” I said coldly, turning to leave.

“I broke up with Tasha.” His words froze me.

Don’t turn around, Cherry. Please, don’t!

“Why?” The word slipped out before I could stop myself.

He walked closer. “Don’t come near me!” I said loudly. “And why are you even telling me this? It has nothing to do with me!”

“You really don’t know?” he said desperately. “Cherry, I like you! No, I love you! So much I’m going insane! You give me sleepless nights, you make my heart race, you give me butterflies just by existing! Without you I’m nothing. With you around, I can’t even think straight!” His eyes burned into mine.

My heart was pounding so wildly I thought it would burst. My whole face was burning hot. Nathan… confessing to me? It couldn’t be real. It had to be a dream. My heart wanted to scream I love you too, but my mind dragged me back to reality.

I couldn’t. Not now. Not ever.

Because I was about to move in with my mom. With Tasha. With her dad. Into that house of hell. Mom begged me to move in with her, not to mention the debts—grandma’s hospital bills, my tuition, and our rent. I had already lost all my part-time jobs. If I didn’t move in with her, I’d end up homeless.

So there was no way Nathan and I could ever work. No matter how much I loved him.

“I’m sorry, Nathan,” I said, my chest splitting open with the words.

But then he grabbed my hands, holding them tight. His voice cracked as tears rolled down his face.

“So what am I supposed to do, Cherry? I can’t live without you. I love you so much I can’t let you go.”

Nathan… was crying. Because of me.

I broke. I couldn’t hold back anymore. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly.

“Don’t go, Cherry,” he whispered.

“I’m not going anywhere,” I said, clinging to him.

“You’re mine then,” he growled, his voice low, trembling. He grabbed my face, his thumbs brushing against my wet cheeks, his eyes burning into me. And then, he crushed his lips against mine again.

This time, it wasn’t just a kiss.

It was fire!

His mouth claimed mine hungrily, fiercely, like he wanted to brand me as his forever. His hands slid into my hair, pulling me closer until there was no space left between us. His lips were hot, demanding, devouring every bit of breath I had left. My knees buckled, my body pressed helplessly against his, my hands clutching his shirt like I’d drown if I let go.

I couldn’t breathe. I didn’t care.

The world blurred, vanished. There was only Nathan his breath, his heat, his heart pounding against mine like it wanted to break through. He kissed me like he needed me more than air, like if he stopped even for a second, he’d die.

I melted into him, lost, consumed, powerless against the storm he unleashed inside me.

And for that one, burning moment I didn’t care about tomorrow. I didn’t care about Tasha, debts, or
anyone watching.

All I knew was this: Nathan was mine.

And I was his!
