Chapter 3
After a few days, Alpha Bastian finally gave me a little cabin behind the packhouse and closer to the woods. It was small, but I did not mind it. At least I was away from everyone else, and I could go and run in the woods with Freya at any time.
He still had made no attempt to see me at night. If he continued this behavior, I might have to do things a little drastically.
I heard a knock at the door.
I walked over to the door and opened it to find Alpha Caspian and his wife standing on the other side.
“Alpha Caspian and Luna Athena,” I said with a bow and moved aside for him and his wife to come in.
Luna Athena pulled me into a hug before coming into the house and sitting on the couch.
Alpha Caspian stepped in but remained standing.
“Hello, Ria. We just wanted to check in with you to see how things were going before we headed back up to the council’s office.”
“Oh, you are both not staying?” I asked.
Alpha Caspian shook his head before answering. “No, we both feel that this process might be easier if we are not around. We want this healing to be a success.”
I nodded my head and said, “Yes, I understand.”
“We wanted to wish you luck and also say goodbye before we left,” Luna Athena said.
“I appreciate it. Thank you. I hope you have a safe journey back to the High Council, and I will keep you informed on the progress.”
“Thank you, Ria. Again, we really appreciate you taking this case. We love our son very much and only want to see him achieve his true success.”
“I understand. Thank you for trusting in my gift.”
Alpha Caspian gave me a light hug before opening the front door. Luna Athena got up, gave me one more hug, and whispered in my ear, “Their bark is much worse than their bite, dear. Don’t let Bastian intimidate you.”
I smiled and nodded. “Thank you for the tip, Luna.”
She smiled and then followed her husband out the door, closing it behind them.
I looked around the empty room and let out a sigh. This was going to be one interesting case.
I sat down on the couch, grabbed the file sitting on the coffee table, and opened it to review anything that I might have missed. After finishing, I decided to make a note in the file.
Notes:
I will make sure that Alpha Bastian is fully aware that I am not leaving his pack land until either:
He is healed.
His father, Alpha Caspian, has asked me to leave since he asked me to be here.
Alpha Bastian is not happy with this and has tried to avoid me during this past week.
***
One Week Later…
It had been almost two weeks, and Alpha Bastian had made no attempt to see me. If this continued, I might have to use an alternative method and bring his wolf to the surface.
I closed the file and put it back in my bag. I checked my phone to see if I had any missed messages and saw a message from Mak.
Mak: How are things going?
I respond to the text.
Me: He is avoiding me. How are you doing?
Mak: Okay. It’s quiet up here, and I am bored without you.
I smile.
Me: I miss you too. I will keep you posted on what happens.
Mak: Please do!
Shaking my head with a smile on my face, I put my phone away, grabbed my tablet, and snuggled into the chair that was closer to the fire.
I might as well keep myself busy somehow while I waited and pulled up my reading app to see if any new books had been posted. Maybe even some steamy ones.
After another week of Bastian ignoring me and four books later, I decided it was time for Freya to have a little fun with him.
Later that night, as I entered the packhouse, I found Barlow.
“Hey, Barlow, have you seen Alpha Bastian?” I asked her.
She looked at me for a moment and then answered, “You should be able to find him in his office, but beware: he is not in a good mood.”
“When is he?” I responded as I turned to make my way up the stairs.
“Hey, what’s in the bag?”
“Just a bag of tricks I have on hand just in case.” I gave her a wink and started making my way up the stairs.
When I walked up to the door, I could hear his frustration through the door.
I took a deep breath and then knocked.
“Come in,” he said with his usual grumpy tone.
I walked in.
He looked up at me and narrowed his eyes while saying, “What do you want?”
“I am tired of waiting for you to come to me. You need a release, and I am here to give you one.”
I slowly walked toward him; he started to become uncomfortable with how close I was. I dropped my bag next to me before dropping down to my knees between his legs and running my hands up and down them.
“Stop!”
“No!” I said as I shook my head.
“Stop this right now!” he said, using his Alpha tone on me.
I laughed as I felt Freya slowly start to take over me. My eyes were turning lavender, letting him know I was no longer in control. My voice changed a bit when I said, “You think your Alpha tone can do anything to me? Clearly, you have not done your homework on me. Most Alpha tones do not work on me. Besides, I am not here for you… I am here for your wolf.”
He sat, looking somewhat shocked as I continued to undo his pants. He tried to get up, and I pushed him back into his seat. I rubbed his manhood underneath his boxer briefs. Slowly, it was coming to life.
I stared at him and watched as he closed his eyes and tilted his head back. I continued to rub, not saying a word to him and hoping he would just let things happen.
“Rufus?” Freya started to call for his wolf.
He quickly popped his head back up and asked, “What are you doing?”
“Like I said, I am not here for you. I am here to please your wolf.”
“You don’t want to do that.” He started to get up, trying to push me off.
“Fine…You want to do things the hard way; I can too.”
I pulled out zip ties from my bag; he tried to get up, but with Freya in charge, she was able to keep him in the chair and wrapped the zip ties around each wrist and the arm of the chair to keep him in place. He was not happy, but there was nothing that I could really do. My wolf was in charge.
“Rufus…come on, Rufus! Come out! I want to play with you,” Freya said, trying to pull Rufus to the surface.
Bastian closed his eyes again and then opened them, showing that they were now gold and Rufus was now at the surface.
“Well, what do we have here?” a husky tone came from Bastian, showing that Rufus had taken over.
“I want to play with you. Will you let me?” Freya said while giving him puppy dog eyes.
“Do you see something you like?”
I nodded my head.
“Show me.”
I removed his long hard member from his pants, running my fingers up and down his shaft. Staring at his member while licking my lips, I noticed him staring at me as he saw my hunger for his dick to be in my mouth.
“Show me what you want to do to it.”
Finally, I waited no longer. I opened my mouth and took him in fully. He started to pant and make moaning noises. I continued sucking on the tip as one of my hands stroked his shaft, and the other cupped his balls.
He started to pant harder, grunting and groaning. I started to hum and moan while continuing to run my tongue and mouth across his tip.
“Oh, keep going... don’t stop.”
He started to pump his hips, and I continued to suck, going faster and deeper in my mouth, making me gag on his tip.
“Oh, yeah. That’s a good little pup. Are you ready for a reward?”
I nodded my head as I continued sucking on the tip and humming.
“I am about to cum.”
He thrust harder and faster in my mouth while trying to hold my head so I would not release.
“Here it comes; here it comes,” he started to growl as he released his cum into my mouth repeatedly.
When he finished, he finally let go of me. After a short while and in a disturbed tone, he said, “Leave.”
I could tell it was now Bastian’s tone, and he had taken back over.
I looked at him, but he had his head down and refused to look me in the eye. I quickly got up, cut the cuffs off him, grabbed my bag, and left.
I slowly walked back to my cabin; did I feel bad? Kind of. But sometimes, you must do drastic things to remind them that they were still alive and their wolf needed some sexual affection.
I changed my clothes and crawled into bed.
Freya: Damn, that wolf is amazing. I have not felt like this in a long time.
Me: That is great, Freya. I am so glad you enjoyed it, you horndog.
Freya: What? Why are you so pissed?
Me: I’m not.
I took a deep breath.
Me: I’m sorry. I just…I don’t know.
I ran my fingers through my hair with frustration.
Me: I could hear the pain in his voice. I don’t think he has fully mourned his mate yet.
Freya: Oh…
Me: Yeah, his wolf might be ready, but what about his human side?
Freya: Like you?
I laid there in bed, looking up at the ceiling before taking a deep breath and finally answering her.
Me: Yeah…like me.
We left it at that and said nothing more.
The next day…
I tried to keep to myself for most of the day, staying out of Bastian’s sight. I was trying to give him a little distance even though I was fully aware that I would be going to his office again tonight if he did not come to me before then.
Later that night, I checked the clock and saw it was about 9 PM. I figured this might be a good time to go over to him and try again. I changed into a simple tank top and shorts before making my way over to the packhouse to see if he was still in his office. I brought my little bag of goodies for Freya to use if she needed to.
I walked into the packhouse, and it seemed pretty quiet. I started walking up the stairs to the second floor where his office was.
I took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
Knock, knock.
“Come in.”
I slowly turned the knob and opened the door, peeking my head into the office slowly before pulling my whole self into the room. He paid no attention to me. I continued to come into the room, closed the door behind me, and locked it.
I stood there for a minute, just taking him all in. I could feel myself start to get damp between my legs. Damn, why do I have to find him to be so attractive?
“You know I can smell you,” he said without looking up at me.
“I’m sure you can.” I continued to keep my distance from him, not sure what kind of mood he was in.
“So, I make you wet?” he said playfully. He finally looked up and tossed his pen onto the desk as he leaned back in his chair. His eyes were roaming up and down my body, taking in how I looked.
I slowly walked towards him as I dropped my bag down in the chair in front of his desk and said, “I never said that.”
I continued to make my way to him around his desk, and before I could move any further, he grabbed me roughly and said, “Oh no, little girl, I’m not letting you have me again. This time, I am going to have you.”
He pulled me in front of him, and he rubbed his fingers on the inside of my legs, teasing me every chance he got. He lifted me onto his desk and spread my legs, staring at the heat between my legs. He started to rub me with his fingers, playing with my clit over my shorts, making me even wetter than I was. I began to moan.
“Lay back,” he told me. There was no sign of Rufus in his eyes or tone. This was all Bastian.
I leaned back onto the desk. He grabbed the sides of my shorts and quickly removed them, giving him a better view. He continued to finger me, getting me riled up and then stopping. After a short while, he started again, this time using his tongue to play with my clit while he inserted his fingers inside me.
“Ahh…mmm...Bastian,” I moaned.
“Shh.”
He continued, bringing me close to an orgasm and then stopping.
“Ugh…Bastian?” I cried out.
He leaned over. “Who said I was going to let you cum? And it is Alpha to you,” he whispered to me.
I tried to get up, but he pushed me back down. His eyes were cloudy with lust. This was not his wolf but him. Crap.
“Isn’t this what you wanted? To be able to have me,” he said with hatred in his voice. He pulled his pants down and rubbed his member along my entry. “Yeah, you like that, don’t you?”
Without warning, he jammed it into me. “Go ahead. Take it, healer. Is this how you are going to heal me? Is this the way my broken heart is going to heal after losing my mate?”
I let a moan escape my lips. Even though he was being rough, it was still doing something for Freya and me.
He continued to pound into me as he held onto my hips. “What’s wrong, Luria? Am I too much for you?” he asked as he saw my eyes roll into the back of my head, but it was not that. Wrapping my hands around my head, I braced for the pain I was about to be in. I could feel Freya taking over, my eyes turning lavender…I was about to have a premonition. Grabbing him by the wrist, I brought him into it with me unintentionally.
We were looking at the far borders, watching a small group of wolves running on the fields. They just passed a part of the field that looked familiar to me, and then I saw my cabin. Crap, they were coming from the south.
Bastian immediately jumped back and quickly pulled himself out of me.
I yelped from the discomfort that it caused.
“What the hell was that?” he yelled at me as he continued to back away from me and pull his pants back on.
I hopped down from his desk, grabbing my shorts and putting them back on.
“That was a premonition. I get them every now and then. I had no intention of pulling you into it with me, but at least you did see that it looks like we are about to have some unwelcome company from some wolves.”
“How long do we have?”
“I don’t know, but better to be prepared. Get on the link, and get your warriors up and going,” I said as I turned and started heading towards the door.
“Where are you going?” he said to me as he grabbed my arm.
“I’m going to see if I can stall them a bit.”
“Oh no, you are not!” he said to me as he pushed me back into his office, closed the door, and locked it.
“Damn it, Bastian! Open the door. I know how to defend myself. Let me help,” I screamed as I banged on the door.
But there was no response.
Frustrated, I wanted to kick the door, but I remembered I did not have shoes on. I quickly looked around his office and noticed a small window in the corner. Yes! Jackpot.
I made my way over to where the window was, turned the lock, opened the window, and looked down to see how far down it was. His office was on the second story, but a tree was across from his window. I crawled out and leaped across to the tree, grabbing its branches and quickly jumping down to the ground.
I could hear other wolves moving around me into their positions to prepare for when the rogues came.
I dashed to my cabin and quickly got in. After changing into different clothes and putting on a pair of boots, I set out to find a hiding place to assess the situation.
Me: Freya, what do you see?
Freya took over and surveyed the area.
Freya: I see them, about fifteen of them. Their wolves are big, Ria. I know we can take care of ourselves but just watch out. It has been a while since we have had to fight.
Ria: I understand, Freya. I am not looking for a death wish tonight. I know he has a strong pack, but I just cannot sit around and do nothing.
Freya: Just be careful.
Freya was an extraordinarily strong wolf; she was just not cocky about her strength, which I loved about her.
Suddenly, I smelled a scent following a thump on the branch I was currently occupying.
Bastian.
“I could have sworn I locked you up in my office so that you would stay put. I don’t even want to know how you got out.”
I shrugged and said, “I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t like to follow directions, and I will not just sit around and do nothing when I can help.”
“Noted. But, Luria, this is not your pack. Please, stop pissing me off, and stay out of trouble.”
At that moment, we saw movement in the fields.
“Incoming. Where are your warriors?”
“They are ready.”
“My wolf Freya says she saw 15, but she says these wolves are big.”
I glanced over to him and saw his eyes glaze over, which meant he was using the pack link.
“Alright, I am heading out. Just don’t get yourself killed. I don’t need my parents on my ass for not protecting you.” He leaped down from the tree and slowly crouched in the thick bushes not far from my cabin.
Luckily, they were coming from the south of the pack border and were not running through the small community wreaking havoc.
My phone buzzed in my pocket.
I looked at the phone and saw it was Barlow.
“Barlow, what’s up? Are you safe?”
“Yes, I am, but I can’t find one of my nieces.”
“Okay, where was she last seen?”
“She was playing with her brothers by the forest.”
“Okay, what is her name?”
“Addison.”
“Alright, I’ll call you as soon as I find her.”
“Thank you, Ria!”
I quickly hung up and jumped down from my spot. I quickly moved over to Bastian, and before he could move, I grabbed his arm.
“What the hell?”
“I just got a call from Barlow. One of her nieces is not accounted for. I am going to go look for her.”
“Alright, be careful.”
I smiled and made my way through the forest. I was a little bummed that I would not be able to get in on the action of kicking some rogue ass. But at least I was being useful trying to locate a little pup.
I started to hear voices of boys calling for Addison.
I quickly made my way to them and gathered them behind a bus,h trying to quiet them down before asking, “Hey, how long has it been since you have seen your sister?”
“It’s been almost 30 minutes since we have seen her. We were playing hide and seek.”
I looked down and noticed that he had a sweater in his hand.
“Is that your sister’s?”
“Yes.”
I extended my hand out for him to give it to me, and I took a whiff of the sweater to learn her scent. Freya jumped in and helped to heighten my senses.
“Okay, go head back to your house. I am sure your mom and aunt are worried about you too.”
They looked at me hesitantly but then nodded and slowly moved out of the forest and headed to the houses.
I turned and started making my way deeper into the forest and following the sweater’s scent.
After a short while, I stopped and started to assess my surroundings and what I could hear.
Whimpering.
Yes, but oh no, did I hear a faint growl too? I started dashing in the direction that I heard the whimpering, and in no time, I saw a small girl crouched down on the ground cowering as a wolf was creeping towards her. Immediately, I made a mad dash for the girl, grabbed her, and leaped into the tree.
“Hi, sweetie. My name is Ria. I am a friend of your Aunt Barlow. Are you Addison?”
She nodded her head up and down.
I looked down at the wolf below us. He was pacing around, trying to find a way to leap up into the tree we were currently occupying.
“Alright, Addison, we can do this two ways. One, I can go down and fight the wolf so that he does not follow us back to the pack, or we make a mad dash back to the pack and try to lose him. What do you feel most comfortable with?”
“I don’t want you to let me go. I am scared.”
“Okay, I need you to get on my back and hold on tight.” I moved her around to have her on my back. She grabbed around my neck tightly.
“Wow, you have a strong grip. Okay, ready? We are going to start leaping through the trees, and as soon as it is safe, I will drop down to the ground and run. Ready?”
“Ready.”
And with that, I was off. Quickly, Freya accessed the situation and told me where to leap and go. I could still smell the wolf behind us.
Freya: Ria, jump down now and run.
I quickly did what she said and made a run for the houses. As soon as I was out of the woods, I quickly made howling sounds to alert the town of a rogue in the pack town.
I tried to run to the packhouse, but I felt the wolf gaining speed.
“Ria!”
I turned my head to the sound of my name, and I saw Barlow running towards me.
“Okay, Addison. I am going to toss you to your aunt. Get ready to make the leap.”
“I am ready.”
I quickly tossed Addison to her and did a flip in the air to attract the rogue to continue to follow me instead of Barlow and her niece.
He jumped in the air to try and snap at me but missed.
Freya: Tag me in. I am ready.
Without a second thought, I transformed into my wolf and let Freya take over.
My wolf was a large white wolf with flakes of grey throughout my fur with black paws.
Freya could see the wolf look intimidated by her size but still tried to take my wolf on.
I could hear Freya laugh and say, “Here, wolfie, wolfie. Come on; try me… I dare you.”
Freya was an amazing wolf. She had very quick reflexes and did not react on impulse. Her attack moves were well thought out, and she did not exhaust herself early in the fight. She wore her attacker out slowly before releasing her full strength on them. It was almost an art form watching her fight.
Freya started to sense other wolves coming to help, and before she jumped on the rogue one last time for the kill, we heard Bastian’s soothing voice.
“Freya, do not go in for the kill. Keep your eyes on him. I have two other wolves about to capture him. Once he is captured, I want you to slowly walk towards me. Okay?”
Freya made a small grunt to let him know that she understood him. I could tell she did not want me to take back over just yet.
Two men came and captured the rogue. Once she knew he was contained, Freya made her way to Bastian.
He put his hand in front of her nose so that she could smell him before he started to pet her.
“Good girl. That’s a good wolf.”
He draped a blanket on top of us and said in an Alpha tone, “Shift.”
Freya obeyed, and I was able to transform back.
Bastian took a step back to give me some room. I stood up, continuing to hold the blanket to cover my body.
“Good job, Luria. I appreciate you finding little Addison.”
I sighed while taking a deep breath before saying, “Of course. I am glad I was able to help.”
I gave a small smile and made my way back to my cabin.
Freya: Oh, my goodness. I think I could fall for him and his wolf. That man is amazing. Can we talk about the amazing sex we just had with him?”
Me: No, Freya. I am not in the mood to talk about it right now.
Freya: What’s wrong?
She sounded concerned.
Me: Nothing, I am only tired. I am going to take a shower and go to bed.
Freya: Okay, but hey, you did good back there. Your mom would have been proud of you.
I smiled at that compliment.
Me: Thanks, Freya. I needed to hear that. Good night.
Freya: Good night.
