Chapter 204: Pregnant
James was so lost in the moment that he instantly became deaf, blind, and numb to pain.
He couldn't hear anything she said.
No matter how she scratched or pinched him, nothing worked.
Instead, it only made him more excited and go at it even harder.
By the time he was finally satisfied, she was like a fish swept onto the beach by waves, stranded there, barely hanging on.
She was so exhausted she didn't even have the strength to move a finger.
She was holding back her anger, wanting to explode, but she had no energy. She fell asleep completely worn out and annoyed.
Thinking about how badly she'd been worn out last night, Mia was furious.
Her voice had no威力, so she tried to lift her hand with a disgusted look to push his face away.
But her wrists were just as sore, her limbs couldn't follow her brain's commands.
Yelling? Her throat couldn't handle it.
Hitting? She had no strength.
All she could do was glare at James with her eyes wide open.
This troublemaker.
He wore her out like this and still dared to get in her face.
"It's my fault, don't be mad, I won't do it again next time."
Seeing Mia's miserable state, James felt incredibly proud inside, but he didn't dare show it on his face.
He lowered his head and kissed her lips soothingly.
No matter how well he hid it, Mia saw right through him.
Mia, who always understood James's personality, knew the correct translation of those words combined with his expression was:
I know it's my fault, I realize I went too far, but next time I won't change, I'll do it again.
"Get up."
Seeing that Mia wasn't responding and was still giving him the cold eye, James spoke gently.
He wisely bent down and picked up Mia, who couldn't get out of bed on her own, and like when she used to be lazy before, he helped her wash up.
After washing up, he carried her to sit at the dining table, then lowered his head and kissed her plump, moist lips again. "Wait a bit longer, just one more dish and we can eat."
Mia's throat was uncomfortable, she didn't want to deal with him.
After rolling her eyes at him, she slumped boneless in the chair, waiting to be fed.
She was really tired and hungry.
James moved quickly, went into the kitchen, finished the last dish, and hurried to bring everything to the table.
After eating, James carried her back to the bedroom. "If you're not feeling well, sleep some more."
James was well-fed and satisfied, his after-care service couldn't be more attentive.
Mia still didn't speak, just closed her eyes.
She just couldn't understand how, after the same late-night activity, as the one doing most of the work, he could be so energetic and show no signs of fatigue.
James helped her pull up the blanket, kissed her face again with complete satisfaction, then returned to the dining room to clean up.
After tidying up, James went downstairs to get his laptop from the car and worked in the living room.
It wasn't until sunset that James closed his laptop and got up to prepare dinner.
Mia woke up to the smell of food. After sleeping all afternoon, she felt much better.
Her limbs could finally move freely, though they were still a bit sore.
James's new positions were too much for her.
He had thoroughly explored her flexibility.
Throwing off the blanket, Mia got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up.
Just after washing her face, she saw James in his apron appear behind her in the mirror.
As soon as he saw her, he came up from behind, what he wanted to do written all over his face.
Before he could get close, Mia turned her head and gave him a cold look.
The more uncomfortable her body felt, the more her anger only grew.
James got the message.
He smartly didn't dare continue.
Obviously, because today was Saturday, he hadn't controlled himself properly.
So Mia was really angry.
His hand around her waist smoothly shifted, pulling out a face towel and handing it to her, his eyes full of flattery.
Mia reached out to take it, and after drying her face, she gave him another look. James, very perceptive, immediately stepped aside.
Mia walked to the dining table and sat down. James placed the prepared food in front of her.
Throughout the whole process, Mia didn't say a word.
But she didn't reject James's attentiveness either.
It wasn't until after the meal, when James had quickly cleaned up, that he tentatively asked, "Mia, want to go downstairs for a walk to digest?"
She had eaten quite a bit for dinner.
"Okay."
Mia finally responded to him.
James breathed a sigh of relief.
The storm had passed.
The two walked one after the other to the entrance. Mia sat down to change shoes, James stood to change shoes.
He was faster, and after changing, he opened the door and walked out, ready to call the elevator first. "Mia, what do you want to eat tomorrow?"
He was thinking about what dish to make for Mia tomorrow.
What answered him wasn't Mia saying what dish she wanted, but the sound of the door closing.
James's first reaction was that the wind had blown the door shut.
But after waiting a while, the door didn't open again.
James was speechless.
He'd been tricked into going out by Mia, then locked outside.
"Mia?"
Standing at the door, he knocked.
What answered him was a phone message.
He opened it to just one word: "Get lost!"
Men who don't know restraint deserve to be taught a lesson!
...
When Mia said she'd lock him out, she locked him out. She didn't let James in that whole evening.
James knew then that Mia was really angry.
This anger lasted several days.
Whether she was really busy or still angry, she ignored him for days!
When he suggested having sex, Mia simply and bluntly said: No time!
Forget about staying over, he didn't even have a chance to see her.
In a blink, it was Friday again.
In the afternoon, Mia was handling work when her phone suddenly rang.
She picked it up. It was Lily. She immediately answered, "Lily."
"Mia..."
"Lily, what's wrong?"
Mia heard Lily's panicked, helpless crying voice, and her expression changed instantly.
"I..."
Lily's lips opened and closed, unable to get words out for a long time.
Mia's heart filled with worry. "Lily, where are you? I'm coming to find you now."
After hanging up, she asked for leave and immediately took a cab to find her.
In a mall bathroom stall, Mia arrived and knocked on the door.
Lily was sitting on the toilet, her eyes swollen red from crying.
Full of confusion and helplessness, when she met Mia's worried eyes, she immediately threw herself into her arms, hugging her tightly, crying out loud.
Crying until her body trembled continuously.
"Lily, what happened? Is it your mom's condition? Don't cry, I'll help you figure something out."
Mia hugged her tightly, gently patting her back, asking worriedly.
Lily didn't speak, just held her and kept shaking her head in her arms.
Sobbing uncontrollably.
Mia tentatively asked about several possible reasons, but Lily kept shaking her head.
Unable to get anything out of her, Mia reached back to close the stall door, held her, and soothingly patted her.
Lily cried for a long time. Under her comfort, her emotions slowly stabilized.
After calming down for a while, Lily lifted her head from her arms, her lips trembling as she said, "Mia, I... I'm pregnant."
Her voice was full of panic and helplessness.
