Bonus Chapter

POV Melissa

Seven months later

“He should be arriving soon,” Kaleo whispers, holding Koti against his chest, our little one who is only ten days old.

My giant told me that babies born in Selvaria don’t usually have any issues with the cold. They’re born ready to face it. But our Koti isn’t 100% Azuri, so even though her resistance is greater than mine, she’s still not like her father.

That’s why, since she was born, Koti spends most of her time inside a special shirt that Kaleo had made. It has a compartment in the front, a sort of large pocket, just to place our little baby, who, in my opinion, is already too big for a newborn.

In this large pocket, she stays snug and securely pressed against Kaleo’s warm chest, and she doesn’t cry.

“I’m tracking the ship’s trajectory, the hologram will beep when it’s very close,” I say, unable to hide the anxiety in my tone, sitting next to Kaleo on the large pouf we placed in Koti’s room.

Our baby doesn’t have a single hair on her head, just the blue little horns, which are the most beautiful thing in the world. She has a thin tail that comes out at the end of her spine, and it already swings nicely from side to side. She also has pointed, blue ears like her father’s.

But most of her skin, except for her arms, is pale and pinkish like mine, not bronzed like Kaleo’s, and her eyes are light brown like mine, not red. She also doesn’t have the scales Kaleo has on his shoulder, but those should appear later, fine and small since she’s female.

“If you don’t want to do it, I’ll do it alone, Melisha. You just gave birth, you don’t need to stress about something like this,” Kaleo murmurs when I stay silent for too long, stroking my hair, which is now long and curling a bit more than it used to, and I love it.

But I confess that sometimes I miss it being short, and maybe I’ll cut it a little because I can finally choose how I want it.

“I’ll do it myself, love, just like your sister taught me. I just need to rub the flower on my hand and not put it in my mouth, eyes, nose, or any other sensitive place.” I review the facts, and Kaleo nods.

“Have the females he employed on the ship been informed?”

“Yes, they’ve all found places to go, and once Unob arrives, we’ll ask Cirion for help, so he can hack that bastard’s accounts, take all the money, and give it to the women he’s exploited all his life.”

Kaleo nods, and since he’s sitting on the pouf, which sinks a little, I can get close to his height, rest my head on his shoulder, and sigh softly.

“You’re doing the right thing, my little wife. You’re helping so many humans who could still be exploited by that disgusting male,” he says, but I can’t help letting a tear slip.

“You’re right,” I whisper, and Kaleo touches my chin, making me look at him.

“I love you, and I love Kotian too,” he says, using our baby’s full name, who is sleeping like a rock. “We’re proud of you.”

“I love both of you too,” I murmur, and then Kaleo finds a way to pull me closer and place a kiss on my nose, even though he has to move very slowly.

Today is the day the alien who lied to me for 7 years dies.

**Later that same day**

My chest hurts from being away from my Koti, she's with her aunt Gen now, but I couldn’t let her stay in the same environment as Unob, the bastard who's sitting in my kitchen with my husband right now.

"Are these pink doman deposits really that big? In the photos you sent me, they looked huge," he says excitedly, and I notice the new skin Unob chose.

This time, he wanted to be a tall redhead, very pale with lots of freckles. But I know he's still the same disgusting giant cockroach because, just like before, I still smell that strange odor, and Kaleo also senses it because I keep seeing him rub his nose and make a face.

"They're big, yes, and they should be worth millions of brons!" I lie, so he keeps believing that’s the reason for his visit to Selvaria. We attracted him with supposed gemstones because otherwise, he wouldn’t have come.

"I know exactly the guy who will pay a great price. We can still polish each one with ninodi, and make them a bit bluish so he thinks they're even rarer."

Of course, Unob is already thinking of a way to cheat. Filthy bastard!

"Sure, let's polish each one…" I say, and Kaleo responds with a low growl because I know he can’t wait any longer.

If it depended on my giant blue, he would’ve ripped Unob’s head off the second he arrived, quick and easy. But I wanted Unob to park his ship next to the cabin, I wanted to look at his new face for a while and remember exactly what kind of scumbag he is.

"Want some soup?" Kaleo decides to offer, but immediately Unob looks at my plate and my husband’s on the table and realizes that even though we’ve prepared a full meal for him, neither of us is eating.

"I think I'll pass," he says, letting out a laugh, then rubs his own eye, which makes me swallow hard.

Until now, Unob had only touched the things on the table, he hadn’t touched his face yet, activating the lethal poison from the flower Gen taught me to use yesterday.

"What's the problem? Do you think it’s poisoned, cockroach?" My giant asks, exhaling a cloud of dark smoke from his nose because he's about to explode.

"Of course not!" Unob exclaims, letting out another laugh, this time much drier, because he hates being called cockroach. But I taught Kaleo the word, and now it’s the only way he refers to my ex-boss. "It's just that if neither of you is eating, maybe it didn't turn out so good." He shrugs, trying to make a joke because he thinks he’ll become a billionaire with our help, which makes me even angrier.

How I hate this bastard!

This shameless woman-exploiter who managed to deceive me into thinking he really sold me to a faleu and accepted getting less brons than I did!

"You’re right, the soup really didn’t turn out that great, but don’t worry, the poison isn’t in it. The poison was on my hand, and I passed it when we shook hands earlier," I reveal as I stand up and walk closer to him.

"Kitty..." He widens his fake eyes, staring at me in disbelief.

As soon as Koti was born, Kaleo decided it was time to kill Unob, and at first, I was really shocked by the idea. It seemed barbaric and horrible. But when I think about how many human women I can still save from Unob, I feel more certain of this decision and even relieved.

And since I washed my hands as soon as I got home, the poison won’t affect me; we just need to burn everything he used afterward, to be sure. But Kaleo will do that with great pleasure. My giant has been watching every move that cockroach has made until now.

"Did you know I could’ve died the second I arrived here? You saw me choose the dress to wear, and even then, you let me; you could’ve at least suggested pants, right? But you let me wear the dress!"

Tears flood my eyes as I remember that day. If it weren’t for Kaleo rushing to cover me up and then taking me to the hot springs on his planet, I would’ve frozen to death. And then my giant revealed that he sent extra money to Unob to buy a special coat for me, a coat I never saw because that giant cockroach preferred to keep the money for himself.

"Kitty, stop joking, damn it!" He tries to stand, but by this point, his body no longer has the strength, the poison acts very fast once it comes into contact with mucous membranes.

"My name is Melissa, you hell-bound opportunist!" I practically growl the words, but when Unob starts choking on his own saliva and his whole face turns purple, I can’t watch anymore and ask Kaleo to take me out of the cabin.

But even with the urge to vomit from causing someone’s death and a big lump in my throat, now I feel that this chapter of my life is finished. Now, I can live in peace, knowing that the bastard who deceived me will never harm anyone again.

**End!**
