Chapter 20: Watch And Learn

Romano

“I wouldn't do that if I were you.” Kelvin said to Marco.

“Sit still, you traitor, the pain will only progressively get worse, we wouldn't want to deal with your dead body just yet.” He mocked him as he walked around him.

Kelvin grabbed a fistful of his hair and yanked it down so he could face us. I nodded at him and then walked over, I knelt down in front of him with one knee and watched his pale disoriented face.

“You did good, Romano. Look at the state of me.” Marco groaned as he bit his lips to deal with the pain but I just glared at him with such hatred.

It is not the fact that he betrayed us, it is the fact that he has a connection with Gabriel, the one person I really want dead. I want to end him right now but I need answers and in order to do that, I need to keep my urge at bay. When it comes to killing him, I will take my fucking time just to give him that slow and painful death he deserves.

“I did tell you to watch and learn, didn't I?” I muttered as I got up and watched him as his face twisted into all sorts of pain from his leg.

“Do you know why you are here, Marco?” I asked.

“No,” he retorted.

“Fill me in, asshole because I really have no idea.” He added in a tired manner but sarcasm was definitely laced with it. I clenched my jaws, I was not having it with him. He came to my territory on his own and will not leave until he is dead.

“Well, you are here because you had the balls to come to my club and cause havoc, so now, you are going to repent for your mistake.” I growled.

“Also, I want information on Gabriel's whereabouts.”

He laughed feebly as his head began to fall down tos his shoulder.

“Gabriel's location? No chance.” He laughed lazily before he began to roll his eyes back and close them.

“Wake up, sleepy fuck!” Kelvin pulled his head back up.

“Now is not the time to have your beauty sleep. Answer the damn question before I shoot you brain out!”

He whimpered in return as the pain was evident in his face, beads of sweat just rolled down his face, he was drenched in sweat. His hair was disheveled and his clothes were a mess with patches of blood mainly staining his pants. He closed his eyes again and Kelvin smacked his hand in his cheek a couple of times. He automatically opens his eyes.

“Why have you come here? And what fuck is Gabriel planning?” I asked as I pulled my gun out and waved it across his face. He watched me for the last time before he laughed weakly.

“Romano, you really think I have come here to tell you what Gabriel is planning for the future of his mafia? No, you are wrong.” He chuckled.

“But there is one thing I can tell you, in fact, I should have told you once I got here. It would have gave you plenty of time to be prepared, to say the least.”

I straightened my back and look at Kelvin before I glanced over my shoulder to give Caleb an apprehensive stare as I wondered what the fuck this prick was talking about. I inducted Caleb to go check and he nodded his head and stepped away. I turned back to Marco and grabbed him by his hair before I yanked his head backwards, nearly snapping his neck. He hissed in pain and opened his eyes that were bloodshot red.

“Speak now or so, help me god, I will shoot you in the throat.” I bellowed as I glared right through his lazy eyes.

Instead of providing me with the answer I asked for, he laughed. His tired, sleepy and dead form just laughed at me while I was on the verge of just snapping his neck back and giving him this very uncreative death that I have been trying to avoid.

“Your club, the new business should be up in pieces now.” He smiled.

“I have planted a present for you there, unfortunately, it couldn't go off when you were there.”

“What the fuck!” Kelvin muttered under his breath.

“Shít,” he growled.

“Hmm, I think we might have just stolen all your merchandise as well as your club. You know, Gabriel has plans to open a business one day and I hope you don't mind.” He continued, which only provoked my anger even more now. If I let any of this go or carry on, my mafia would be in flames on the floor so I had to act fast.

I picked the gun up and pointed it at his face who continued to hold that smug look on his face. Just as I was about to pull the trigger, Caleb came back with his laptop and stood closer to me.

“The motherfucker blew up the place and managed to hack into our accounts but don't worry,  I have already frozen the accounts and all the assets.” He informed me and I nodded in relief. We really would have lost millions.

I turned my attention back to Marco who was still smirking at me.

“We have had a very good catch up, however, unfortunately you are not reliable to me anymore. It was fun while it lasted, traitor.” I moved a little closer to him to get a closer shot.

“You wouldn't,” he laughed but his laughter soon disappeared when I moved the tip of my gun away from his cheek and forced it through his mouth. His face dropped immediately and his eyes widened, his body began to tense.

“See you in hell, Marco.” He began to yell out incoherent words as I glared at him.

I clenched my jaw and pulled the trigger, instantly his body spasms before it relaxed back on the chair when the bullet drilled through the back of his throat. His shoulders dropped before his chest began to stop moving from his heart beat, he gurgled as all his blood spurts out on Kelvin as he was standing behind him. The loud gunshot was still echoing through my ears. I watched Kelvin pull a face when he realized how much blood was sprayed on him before I turned my eyes back to Marco who was now probably dead. Enemies blood was thing that satisfied me most, especially when it is under my fucking feet.

Marco's disoriented dead body was slumping on the chair as all his blood was dripping from him and the chair he was sitting on, he was a bloody mess. His shirt was covered in nothing but blood as his mouth was still gushing out fresh blood that spread through his shirt, soaking it until there was no space. The sijgt may be horrifying to others but to me, it was nothing unusual. It is what I do everyday, it was the only reason why we were breathing today, how our mafia is still breathing because if we don't do this, we would be dead by now like a rat.

“Boys, my work here is done. Handle the rest.” I said as I grabbed a towel and began to wipe my hands with it.

“Caleb, be generous and deliver his body to his family in one piece after you are done with him.”

“One piece, are you sure?” He asked and I nodded my head as I headed for the door.

“Got it,” I look at them as both Caleb and Kelvin untie the body from the chair. His body fell off the chair and onto the floor, I clenched my jaw as I glared at his lifeless body from the distance. Gabriel is going to regret ever testing me.

I am going to make sure he experienced the same thing he put Sophie through before her death. It is a promise I made to keep my Sophie at peace.

“Come in,” I answered as I heard a knock on the door. I glanced at the direction of the door and saw Caleb entering before I closed my eyes and rested my fingers on my temple.

“Is it done?” I asked.

“He is finished and so was the job, his body was delivered with one of his men.” He replied.

“However, he caused a lot of damage. What are we going to do about it?”

“That is not my biggest concern right now, Caleb. We need to think about what we are going to do now, the fucker already jeopardize our plan once and I won't let him do it again.”

“What do you mean, it is not your fucking concer? This is our territory and he came here to ruin it.” He growled.

“Seriously, Romano, you need to work on something fast because things are not looking good for us.”
