Chapter 19: You Are A Dead Man
Romano
Marco Nunez is the dickhead who once had worked with me and is now working against him. He was a member of my my mafia until I found that he had been snooping around to feed my inside information to the one and fucking Gabriel Copper. I still have no idea why the fuck he decided to shoved himself up Gabriel's ass but as soon as I heard that he was involved with him then I decided I was going to assassinate him through Marco and I have been planning to end that bastard for years now. It was time
Gabriel was the only reason why Sophie left and he was going to repent for his wrong doings. I glared at Marco with a determined look to kill him today because I no longer need him. He was not a relatable source to me anymore, in fact I was glad he came here today. For as long as I could really, he was a very intelligent man and he knew what he was doing and he made sure that no one took him for shit. However, when he worked alongside me, I learned that his biggest weakness was his father who treats him like he is worth nothing. He is a man with the look and the brains so any stupid woman would fall for his conniving traps. I know that he used them, they ended up dead or turning into his whore because he had no respect for women.
“Well, would you look at what we have here, boys?” He said and his voice echoed through the hall. He spoke with so much enthusiasm and his voice laced with the accent that we all shared.
“Romano Velkov and his bitch.” He chirped before he began to approach us with a herd of his men behind him.
“Bitch?” I heard Kelvin chuckling behind me.
“See, it is rich coming from you because last time I checked, you were his bitch.” I couldn't help but laugh inwardly at Kelvin's comment because it was true. He always had to crack a joke at a time like this when I strictly demanded that he should let go of the bad habit. But, it still made me laugh.
“Marco, I must say that it is quite bold of you to enter my property in the manner you did.” I said as we reached each other. My eyes pinned him as they watched me with amusement. He is evil but not as evil as me.
“Do I sense a war that is about to begin?” I jabbed the tip of my gun on his chest and his herd of pussies began to point their gun at me.
“That you have started and will most likely die in it?”
“No, no, nothing of that sort.” He said with a smirk.
“I have come to pay a little visit, as you can clearly see. You really forgot me, didn't you as I haven't received an invite. Therefore,I came to congratulate you on your business and I made quite an entrance, didn't I?” He snorted as he pointed at the bodies of my men.
“You see, Marco. The thing is retaliation doesn't occur when you provoke it. I didn't see why you go through the difficulty to prove your loyalty to your fucktard boss by ending a few of my men's lives when you can just do that with one, mine.”
“No,” he shook his head.
“I can't do that, that is my boss's job. Besides, where is the fun in it if I just kill you here, right now? I want entertainment like any other man would with this job.” His laugh filled the hallway and as soon Kelvin who stood beside me began to laugh.
“Is it really that or is that that you are just scared?” He asked in a whisper.
“Scared that I will be the one to take your dead body to your boss so he can see for himself what he has gotten himself into.” I said and his laugh stopped as he blinked up at him with anger in his eyes.
Venomous rage just filled his face as he clenched his teeth at my suggestion and it made me laugh because he was clearly offended. I buried one of my hands into my pocket while the other held my gun as I glared at him with a smug look.
“I will not leave this place until I have got your body in my hands so I can drag you to Gabriel. You got that right that this is war and I will win.” I couldn't help but laugh at his face.
“Is that so?” I mocked as I continued to laugh.
“Don't you think it is an unfortunate idea to visit one of the clubs and threaten that you will drag my body to Gabriel who is next on the line?” I said with a smirk before I took the gun and pointed it at one of his men. Once I got a clear target, I pulled the trigger causing the fool to collapse onto the floor.
“Come, Marco, keep up. If you take me to Gabriel, he will be the one to turn up dead.” I tsked.
Rage soon turned into a death glare when he saw one of his men dead on the floor and he clenched his jaws and rolled his fists into a ball around his gun, the one that little bitch used and roared like a little tiger.
“Romano! You are going to regret this. You sorely regret this!” He roared as he began to shoot fire that missed me.
His men began to scatter around the place and just in time, my men reached us and began to knock each and every one of them just like a bowling ball would do to the pins.
“Just watch and learn, Marco.” I said as I targeted him with my gun and finally pulled the trigger.
“Fuck, you are a dead man, Romano!” He wailed as he collapsed to the floor.
“Fuck,” he began to sob as he continue to threaten me so I reached him to see his face.
His face was painted with pain, he clutched onto his injured leg, the floor underneath him was welcomed by a pool of his fresh blood that gushed out of his wound. I turned around to see Kelvin and my other men fighting off the few idiots that came with Marco before I turned back to see him lose consciousness.
“Well, what do we have here?”
I turned to glance over my shoulder to see Caleb approaching us. He placed his firm hand on my shoulder and watched Marco's body over my shoulder.
Caleb is my second adaptive brother and to be honest, I couldn't ask for better people to work with because these guys were legends. They are my mafia brothers and my real brothers regarding the fact that they are adopted. In my eyes, we shared the same blood and names therefore, they are my brothers.
“Take him to the warehouse and keep him alive. We need to speak to him.” I said as I shoved the gun back to the waistband of my pants.
“Got it, boss.” Caleb said before he dragged Marco's unconscious body out of the hallway and toward the stairs.
After a few hours of keeping a cautious glare on the fucker who was tied on a chair, I had enough already so I demanded Caleb to do some digging.
“Romano, this asshole is clean. All the records show that he worked with us but what he did after doesn't show up at all. He has nothing that could get us to Gabriel right away.” He informed me as he scrolled through his laptop, the only source of bright light that was present at this dull place.
I clenched my fists as I glared at his laptop and I was going to smash that into pieces. We had everything ready so Gabriel should have been dead by now, however the fucker took to a new location that we have been trying to find for the last week. I have spent three years planning this, only for him to ruin it again but this time, nothing will slip through finger. I will make sure I hunt for his head and kill him for everything he has done
I was pulled out of my thoughts when a groan filled my ears and all our heads snapped towards the ditec of where it was coming from. It was Marco. Caleb placed his laptop down while Kelvin handed me a gun and a knife. Marco shook his head as he opened his eyes only to realize he was tied up on a chair. His groans filled the room when he began to struggle out of the chair through the ropes that were wrapped around him and tried to escape but only winced at his injured leg. I clenched my fist as I watched him and turned my gaze to Caleb who nodded his head with furrowed brows.
