Chapter 12
In this room, there is a large, ornate throne at the head of a long table. The throne is covered in dark, brooding velvet, with intricate patterns embroidered into the fabric. A tall, hooded figure sits upon the throne, their features obscured by shadows. Their presence is imposing and powerful, and they seem to command the room with a single look.
The people gathered at the table are all quiet and still, like mice trying to avoid the gaze of a cat. No one dares to speak or move, for fear of drawing the attention of the figure on the throne. There is also a quiet, nervous breathing from the people gathered at the table, and a low, rumbling voice emanates from the hooded figure on the throne. Every so often, there is the sound of a floorboard creaking under the weight of someone shifting their feet, as if they are uneasy.
"The girl escaped; she made it out through the help of Adam, the bloodthirsty werewolf," a voice said. The voice was deep and rumbling, with a hint of something unnatural about it. It's almost as if the words are echoing around the room, as if there are more than one person speaking. There's also a touch of a growl to the voice, as if it's coming from a place beyond human understanding.
"I hate that name. He always destroys my plans. I cannot wait to have his head chopped down with my sharp teeth and have my claws deep inside his body," Ashanti said, the head of the Rarewolves kingdom. He created them, forgetting them to be powerful, mightier than a common werewolf.
"If the alpha king gets married to the young girl, he will buy the company from the humans and discover weapons which can eliminate us at once," one of the hooded figures spoke up.
Ashanti looked at him; he was right. If they do nothing, his plans will be destroyed, his people will be killed, and he will have to kill all humans he kidnapped, and souls wasted.
"We can buy the company from them," another said. Buying the company will be a much better idea, but the humans do not wish to sell the company out to other humans. They are also fighting against the Rarewolf. They intend to sell it out to the Werewolves only, who also had the vision of destroying them, and the alpha king is the perfect person to buy the company.
"That is not possible. We are not werewolves; we are their enemies. They cannot possibly sell the company to us, neither can they sell it to humans. We need a werewolf, strong and powerful like alpha Adam, to buy the company on our stead," another Rarewolf interjected, and everyone began to murmur within themselves or talk to one another.
"A werewolf is our enemy. We do not need any of them. This is an abomination to include a werewolf in our plans of taking over the werewolves kingdom and ending their reign," a new voice protested. Everyone was saying the truth.
"Be quiet, everyone of you. Stop making a ruckus in here," Ashanti hissed, and instantly everyone kept mute. The room was as quiet that even the sound of a pin hitting the floor could be heard.
"Greed, greed is a weapon that I can use to get whatever I want. I have a werewolf working for me as a spy in the werewolf land, alpha Adam's pack precisely. Adam thinks that he is smart, wiser, and more fearful. He believes no one can betray him, but he watched the love of his life betray him so quickly," Ashanti said again.
"We will allow alpha Adam to purchase the company, but my spy will destroy whatever weapon that is so important to alpha Adam." Everyone nodded at his words; this was a great suggestion. There was no need wasting resources to purchase the company.
"How many humans have been kidnapped so far? We need to increase in numbers to fight this war brewing," Ashanti asked. A new voice spoke up.
"We are growing quite well. We have kidnapped over three hundred humans who have been studied to have a strong gene and have taken this particular drug called Meroxite. We realized that these sets of humans are most likely to survive the virus and become like one of us. We just need more resources to create the virus; we are running out of them, King Ashanti."
Ashanti touched his beard in reasoning.
"I want to upgrade the virus. I want to make us capable of turning into human if we wish to. I do not want us to always look like beasts, to stay hidden from the rest of the world, so I have found a solution to that, Rodigra!" Ashanti called, and quickly a young Rarewolf came up with a box in his hand. He looked so young and still beast-like.
"Bring out the new virus," Ashanti whispered in a low deep tone.
Quickly, he brought it out. The virus had changed from green to deep red; new ingredients have been added to it.
"I read some science, visited the witch who performed some ritual with my findings, and I discovered what I call the life changer. Inject it into your system, Rodigra," Ashanti said, and quickly, Rodigra grabbed one of the syringes where the virus is. He dipped the syringe into his skin and injected himself with it; he was the first person to taste the new-found discovery, he was the sacrificial lamb.
Everyone stared with their eyes wide open, with hope, fear, and apprehension.
Rodigra felt his body move with a strange feeling; then he felt nothing for a while as he stared at the men in the room. Suddenly, he felt a tingling sensation that began in his fingertips and toes. It slowly spread through his body, making his muscles tense and his skin itch. Suddenly, he felt a surge of energy course through him, and he let out a roar that shook the room. He looked down at his hands, and they were covered in thick, dark fur. His nails had grown into sharper claws than before, and he could feel his teeth growing longer and sharper.
Rodigra looked up at the mirror in front of him, and he saw that his face had transformed into the snout of a wild beast. His eyes were glowing red, and his ears had grown long and pointed. His legs were now powerful and muscular, and his feet had turned into large, clawed paws. He looked different than before; he wasn't the weak Rarewolf anymore.
He flexed his new muscles, feeling a surge of strength and power. He felt like a different person, and he looked around the room, realizing that he was now much larger than before. He knew that he had become something else, something powerful and dangerous.
Also, something was different about him. Everything looked different, and he could smell scents that he had never smelled before, much higher than his previous self. His hearing was sharper, and he could hear the faintest sounds. He looked down at his hands again, and he realized that he was now in control of his transformation. He knew that he could return to his human form whenever he wanted to and with the snap of his fingers, he returned to human, a fair young man with fine-toned hair and a shapely body standing in the midst of the Rarewolves.
Everyone stood up with shock; this was a miracle. This
virus will change the lives of the Rarewolves; they will be unstoppable, unbeatable, and powerful.
"Now, this will no longer be called a Virus, but a Serum, the Rarewolves serum. We are now the saviors of our time and immortal too. Every one of us will be like Rodigra here and I, because I have tried the Serum on me," Ashanti said, now stepping out from his throne. He walked down towards the reflection of the sun that was shining bright in the room; quickly, he closed his eyes, and he turned into a human, which left everyone gasping at his transformation.
"We shall destroy alpha Adam and take over the entire werewolf lands," Ashanti growled in his human form.
