Chapter 155: A Joke or Not

She zoomed in on the video clip well and showed the inspector to look deeply into that video clip. She zoomed out the picture very well, and the inspector immediately caught a glimpse of the side view of Lily's face showing, and immediately saw a woman's hair come out of the hood.

Lily had come out of the field, and she didn't even notice it. That was where Alex's plan failed. It didn't wipe out that part of the video as Trisha had already figured it out and had shown it to the inspector.

The inspector looked at it clearly and truly saw that it was a woman's face and her hair was even coming out of the hood before she immediately tucked it in. He saw the video clip very well and had to play and replay it over and over again in order to be sure that it was actually a woman and not a man.

Trisha kept on persuading him and shouting, saying that James was innocent. The inspector got very frustrated and told them to keep quiet so he could do his job properly.

He turned to her lawyer and explained to him, “If she does not keep quiet and let me focus right now, I'll have to throw her out of the station.”

He said to the lawyer, who tried to calm Trisha down. Then the inspector kept on watching the video over and over again. It seemed like he already caught a glimpse of the fact that the person in the hood was actually a woman and not a man.

Then after so much persuasion, he finally granted James bail, and they were able to bail James out, but it was with a lot of money.

After James came out of prison and heard how much Trisha used to bail him, instead of paying her back, Trisha wouldn't hear any of it.

She quickly explained to him, “I was doing it for Isabella, and you had to save her. Don’t worry, James. You don't have to pay me back. You don't have to insist on paying me back. Besides, everything we are doing is for Isabella's safety. You have to protect her. You can't leave her alone. You have to protect Isabella. Everything we are doing is for Isabella's safety. Nothing must happen to Isabella, and only you can protect her. I can only trust you with Isabella. I can't really trust Alex with Isabella because it seems to me that Alex is trying to kill Isabella and frame somebody else for it. I think that is his plan. I think that was why he took you out of the picture first and locked you here in jail so that he would be able to carry out his mission. Because he knows that if you were free and working out there, you would always be by Isabella's side and wouldn't let anything happen to her. So I beg of you, you don't have to pay me back by doing all this for Isabella. I love Isabella like she's my own sister, and nothing must happen to her. I don't know what I'm going to do if I lose Isabella. Please, James, I'm begging you, save Isabella for me. Save her from Alex's and Lily's clutches. Please, I'm begging you.”

She pleaded with James, and James just replied, “Trisha, you don't have to beg me to save Isabella. Isabella is my life. I love Isabella wholeheartedly, and I'll do everything in my power. I can even put my life on the line for Isabella. I'll save her and protect her. I promise you I will never leave her side, and I promise you Isabella will wake up soon. I know that for a fact. I saw her move yesterday when I was with her; she actually moved. That gives us a sign that she is going to wake up very soon.” He said to Trisha as Trisha was overjoyed.

“Really? Did she really move? Did she open her eyes?” She was overjoyed and asked so many questions.

“You just have to calm down a bit, Trisha. I know she's going to come around very soon. All we just have to do is be there for her when she comes around.”

He said to Trisha as they both walked out of the police station with their lawyer, and then they separated from the car.

“I have to go check on Isabella already,” James said to Trisha.

“Why?” Trisha said she has to go back to her hostel to keep on thinking of ideas to separate Alex and Isabella.

Meanwhile, she remembered that Rachel had not returned from Alex's place. She felt that maybe he might have gone somewhere or gone home to check up on something. She didn't bother too much about it and didn't think too much.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, the nurses were checking Isabella's vitals as they were operating the monitors and checking everything that was going on with her to see if she was okay.

As they were checking her vitals, she immediately sprung up into another shock attack. She started getting into shock again. They immediately shouted and called the doctor that the patient was already getting into a shock attack again.

As the doctor immediately ran into Isabella's room and checked her, they immediately helped her come out of her shock attack. With so much effort, she finally calmed down and went back to normal as the doctors and nurses were giving her injections and sedatives so that she would relax well and calm down and not go into another shock attack anytime soon.

One of the nurses that was very close to her immediately noticed that Isabella had opened her eyes as she didn't call for attention.

“Doctor, doctor, see what's happening right now! After a short shock attack, I think she's already awake!”

She shouted over joyfully at the doctor as the doctor immediately looked in Isabella's direction. The other nurses also looked in her direction as there were smiles on their faces.

“Wow, she actually woke up!” The doctor said,

“I think the shock attack triggered her; that was why she woke up immediately.” They started checking her vitals. As Isabella opened her eyes, everywhere was blurry. She imagined where she was as she remembered that she had undergone an operation.

She wondered how many days it had been before she woke up. It felt like it was just some hours ago that she had undergone the operation.

Meanwhile, she didn't know that it had been days that she hadn't woken up, and her mom and everybody was worried about her.

She opened her eyes slowly as the lighting was too sharp for her eyes due to the fact that she hadn't woken up for days.

But she tried to adapt to it slowly and she opened her eyes fully and saw that there were a lot of doctors and nurses surrounding her.

She wondered what was going on and heard one of the nurses say that she finally woke up after the shock attack.

Like it was as if the shock attack triggered her to come back to consciousness. She wondered how long she had been sleeping.

Everything. She started remembering how James had been with her in the hospital, speaking to her every day, pleading for her to wake up.

She remembered how he had touched her even though she was unconscious. She didn't know how she got that memory, but she just knew that somewhere right in her head, she was.

She had been hearing James's voice for the past few days, talking to her and pleading with her to wake up.

As the doctors were checking her vitals, they were happy that she was already awake, as the doctor was checking her vitals and saw that she was stable already.

They were all happy that she was conscious, and the only thing that Isabella could mutter was, “Where is James?” That was what she first said as the doctors and nurses looked at her in shock.
