Chapter 154: The Awakening
Before he even ended the call, he heard his doorbell ring as he went to open the door and a mailman was standing there and gave him a package that was inside a box.
Alex immediately took it and went up into his room. As he opened the box, behold. It was a pistol inside with bullets. A lot of bullets.
“Finally, I'll get my revenge on Isabella. I won't wait too long. Now I have the trump card. I'm going to kill her.”
As he thought to himself, he already had a licensed gun sent to his place and it would be easier for him that way to kill Isabella without anybody noticing.
Besides, he had followed Lily the other time when she went to the hospital to check on Isabella. He was very happy thinking that Lily was going to kill Isabella right there on the spot.
Meanwhile, he wore the same hoodie as Lily and inside that hoodie, Lily looked exactly like a man. So it was hard to differentiate between the both of them.
If anything happened, he could easily blame it on Lily as he saw that Lily was not able to kill Isabella. He was able to frame the fault on James as she also looked like a man.
That's why he called the police on James, saying that he planned to kill Lily as nobody knew that there were two of them inside Isabella's ward.
That was the evidence he was talking about earlier when he called the police. Framing James for murder, he thought to himself.
Then he had a flashback of when he went to meet Lily in a prison ward angrily and asked her about James and Isabella's relationship.
Then Lily actually fell into his trap and confessed everything to him. He felt really angry at that moment and the only thing that made him appear a little less angry was when Lily confessed to him that she was going to kill Isabella as soon as she got out of town.
Then immediately she got out of there. She actually succeeded in going to Isabella's ward, but she didn't succeed in killing Isabella.
So he thought it was his job to do. He was really angry when he found out that Lily wasn't able to kill Isabella.
Now nobody, he would not trust anybody to finish that work for him. He would do it on his own. That's why he went to get a licensed gun since Lily couldn't succeed in killing Isabella.
I won't have to wait for anybody to carry out my revenge, I will take my revenge with my own hands, he thought to himself as he started fixing the gun together in place and putting some bullets into the pistol.
He remembered actually begging Lily the other day not to kill Isabella as he still loved Isabella.
But he was only acting out in front of Lily so that nobody would ever suspect him if he eventually succeeded in killing Isabella.
Meanwhile, he was happy inwardly that day when Lily said she was going to kill Isabella, but she couldn't do it anyway.
So he had to do it on his own this time around, and he will make sure that he did a clean job without anyone suspecting him.
He already knew the ins and outs of the hospital and no one would question him about going to see Isabella as he had a secret plan on how to kill Isabella and secretly come out of the hospital without being noticed.
He thought to himself as he kept on arranging the gun in place with bullets.
Trisha rushed over to the police station as soon as she could, and upon getting there, she met the inspector right at his desk.
“I’m here to bail out James. This is my lawyer,” she introduced her lawyer to the inspector.
The police immediately replied hurriedly, “You can't bail a man out. He is a murderer and there's evidence. We have a video clip of him going into Isabella's room and trying to murder her.” He said as Trisha squeezed her face in shock.
“A video clip? How? Where? When?” As she asked these questions, the police officer got frustrated and said, “Are you dumb? Don't you know that hospitals have security cameras? This is the clip of when he was going into Isabella's room.”
“Please can you let me see the video? I need to confirm that it was James,” she pleaded with the inspector, but the inspector refused, saying that he can't let them see it as it was solid evidence and ordinary people like her can't see it.
She turned to look at her lawyer for help, and the lawyer spoke with the inspector.
“Inspector...”
After so much persuasion, the inspector finally let her check the video clip. As she watched the video clip, she zoomed in and saw that it was actually Lily and not James. Just because the build was similar, it felt as if she was a man.
“Inspector, are you blind? Can't you see that this is a woman, not a man? This isn't James! Can't you look at the physique?”
As the inspector zoomed in more and looked at it physically, he replied, “No. What are you telling me? I think this is the man. He was the one that went into the hospital ward and tried to kill Isabella.”
He said, throwing Trisha out of annoyance, “Please, I beg you, just leave. Walk out of this place, don't cause havoc here.”
He said to Trisha as she turned to look at her lawyer. Then the lawyer started speaking with the inspector, trying to convince him to bail James out and that he was innocent. They didn't want the matter to go to court, as James was innocent. He was just being framed.
But the inspector wouldn't buy any of it. It seemed as if Alex had bribed them not to accept bail for James. But then the lawyer kept on persuading him and persuading him. Meanwhile, Trisha had gone to a corner and immediately asked for the video clip to be sent to her phone.
