Chapter 152: The Dark Plan

“Why are you so deep in thought, and why do you look so shocked? Where is Lily?” he asked her, and she pointed upstairs.

“She just went upstairs, and she said something that shocked me.” Just then, the father did not even allow her to explain anything before he asked, “How is she? Hope she isn't hurt? Hope there are no bruises on her body.”

“Just stop it already. You are the one that is spoiling Lily. Why do you have to spoil her so much? She is too rude and she's always plotting ways to harm people. Can't you speak to Lily? Tell her to stop her evil ways,” she said to Lily's father.

But Lily's father just got angry at her also and shouted, “Just stop it already. She's my daughter, and however I plan to train her is none of your business. Just take care of her for me and don't allow anything to happen to her. If I ever hear that you were not able to protect Lily as you are supposed to, I promise you will regret it. She is my only daughter. Besides, you didn't even give me any child, so you have to protect her with your life,” he said to Lily's mother as she looked at him shocked.

Both father and daughter are just the same, and she didn't know what to do anymore. She just walked out of his presence in annoyance. Meanwhile, Lily's father did not even bother to go after her as she just went upstairs into Lily's room to check on her.

As he knocked on her door, Lily was very angry. She thought it was her mother and shouted, “What do you want this time?”

As her father just spoke out, “It's me, Lily; come open the door.”

As Lily stood up and opened the door for her father, she immediately hugged her father. “Thanks, Dad, for getting me out of there,” she said to him.

As he said, “It's no problem. You are my daughter, and I'll do anything. I'll even put my life on the line to protect you,” he said.

As Lily just scoffed, “I thought you didn't even want to help me before. Besides, why are you here?”

“I just came to check on you and check if there are no bruises on you. Would you like me to order something for you to eat?” he said to Lily, worried.

But Lily just scoffed and said, “Dad, just stop it already. I'm not a baby; I'm fine, and there are no bruises on my body. There's no need for me to meet with the doctor. Just leave me alone right now. I need to rest my head.”

As Lily was still frustrated from the scene with James, she didn't want to talk to her dad, at least not right now. She thanked him already for what he did, and that was enough, she thought, not even knowing why she had to thank him. After all, it was his duty to sort her out of the issue, she thought to herself, and her dad immediately went to the door of her room.

“I just came to check on you because I cared. I don't know why you have to be so rude to me. I care for you,” he said as he just walked out of her room, and Lily shut the door behind him.

He just shook his head and went into his room directly. Meanwhile, James was still inside Isabella's ward as he was watching her.

“Isabella, just wake up for me, please. I just wait; hope you wake up to my voice. I hope you just open your eyes and look at me and maybe call out my name,” James said to her unconscious state as he just looked at her and held her hand.

Shortly, he rested his head on Isabella's arms, and he felt her hand move as he looked at her. “Wow, Isabella, you just moved your hand. Are you going to wake up now?” he continued saying to her in a heart of panic.

“Isabella, please wake up. Your hands just moved,” he said. “Don't worry, I'm here for you. I'll protect you, and nothing is going to happen to you.”

As he was caressing Isabella and talking to her unconscious state, Alex immediately walked right in front of Isabella's door as he peeped through the glass space and saw James sitting there holding Isabella's hand. He felt very angry and immediately pushed the door open as policemen followed him into Isabella's spot.

“That is the man. You have to arrest him right now,” he said to the police. “He was the one that tried to kill Isabella; he is the reason why Isabella is in that state, and I have evidence against him. He's the mastermind behind everything; he is the reason behind all of it. I know he's just making up a charade acting as if he cares for Isabella or Isabella's parents, but it's just a charade; it is a lie. He doesn't love Isabella. I have proof that he tried to kill Isabella, and I'm going to show the proof before the court,” he said to the policemen as they rushed to James, ready to handcuff him.

But before the policemen could put a handcuff on James, he stood up and faced Alex. “What the heck are you doing, Alex? What did I ever do now? Is it a crime for me to just love Isabella? Is it a crime for Isabella to love me back? Why are you doing all of this? I know you are angry because Isabella cheated on you, but you don't have to resort to such measures,” he shouted at Alex.

As Trisha and Rachel were inside Trisha's hostel room talking about how to devise a plan to help Isabella and Alex break up, Trisha was almost coming up with an idea as she was thinking deeply on how to make Alex break up with Isabella and leave her alone due to his aggressiveness.
