Chapter 58 My Husband
Chapter 58 My Husband
James’s P.O.V.
I just can’t take my eyes off my gorgeous wife.
Yes, my wife. Mrs. Luther. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that Selena is now mine in every sense of the word. Legally, emotionally, soulfully.
God, I feel so blessed. She is so damn perfect.
She’s glowing in her white dress under the golden lights of the reception. She laughs as she poses for pictures with Stella and Zoe. The way she throws her head back when she giggles… It’s mesmerising. I don’t think I’ll ever stop falling in love with her.
The reception is set up in the garden outside, twinkling lights strung, candles flickering on every table, flowers blooming in every corner. It’s magic. It’s our day.
And it’s perfect.
I spot someone walking toward me from across the garden and smile.
“Dominic!” I call out, pulling him into a hug.
Dominic, my nephew—technically my brother’s son, but he’s always felt more like my own. He lived with me for years before I moved to New York, where I met the love of my life, Selena.
Dominic is a good man. Smart, grounded, and full of potential. He didn’t have anyone else but me, and I’d never let him feel alone. That’s why I did the arrangements and made him move to New York.
“I was waiting to introduce you two.” I lead him toward where Selena is standing with her friends. “Selena,” I call softly, and her eyes light up as she turns toward me.
God, I’ll never get used to that look.
She walks over with a warm smile. “Hey, my handsome husband.”
“Hello, my beautiful wife.” I place my hand on her lower back and kiss her cheek, making her grin. “Selena, he is Dominic. My brother’s son. He lived with me back home before I moved to New York. Now he’s moved here too.”
Selena smiles at Dominic as she holds out her hand. “Hi, Dominic. I’ve heard a lot about you. I’m so happy you’re here.”
Dominic smiles back. “It’s great to meet you, Selena. You look beautiful today. Congratulations to both of you.”
“Thank you.” She takes his hand in both of hers. “And welcome to New York. You’re part of the family now. If you ever need anything, I’m here too.”
Dominic glances at me. “I can see why you love her so much, Uncle James.”
I chuckle, pulling her closer. “Yeah, she’s something, isn’t she?”
Selena leans into me, resting her head against my shoulder. “I’m exactly what you needed.”
“You have no idea, love.” I capture her lips in a deep kiss without caring how many people are looking at us. She is my wife now. God! It feels so good.
As Dominic leaves, I tell her. “Selena, he’s going to stay at my house. I hope you don’t have any problem with it.”
“Of course not. He is your family, which means he’s mine too.”
Her words bring a huge smile to my face. “You’re amazing, you know that?”
She smirks. “Took you long enough to realise.”
I chuckle, kissing my forehead. “Oh, trust me. I knew the second I laid eyes on you in that bar… and now, you’re mine. Forever.”
The reception winds. We’ve taken a thousand pictures and danced. But now… It’s time for the moment I’ve been waiting for all day.
Now it’ll be just her and me.
Just us.
Selena’s P.O.V.
I let out a little groan as the car keeps moving, and I’m still blindfolded, sitting beside him on the passenger seat in a wedding gown. He has planned a surprise for me.
James and his surprises. I fucking love it. He’s spoiling me completely with his love.
Although, I’m damn excited, but the wait is driving me crazy.
“James… when will we reach? It’s been so long. You’ve kept me like this forever.”
“Have some patience, love.” His deep voice sends a shiver down my spine like always.“We’re just about to reach.”
His hand glides smoothly over my thigh, and I bite my lip.
“James…”
“I can’t wait to claim you for the first time as my wife.” His fingers move higher, rubbing between my thighs, and I arch slightly toward his touch.
A gasp escapes my lips. “Oh… James. Don’t stop.”
He chuckles teasingly. “Sorry, little miss. First surprise… and then pleasure.”
“I can’t wait for both,” I whisper breathlessly.
The car slows down and finally comes to a stop.
“We’ve reached.” James slips out of the car. I hear the door open, feel his fingers wrap around mine, and then I’m being helped out.
“Ready?” he whispers close to my ear, sending electricity down my body.
“I’ve never been more ready.”
He unties the blindfold.
And my eyes widen instantly.
I’m standing in front of the most gorgeous beach house I’ve ever seen. Soft lights illuminate the modern structure with an open view of the ocean.
“James…” I gasp. “Is this… ours?” I look at him in amazement.
He nods, eyes locked on mine. “Yes. Our new house. The new beginning of our life… in our new home.”
“Wow. It’s so beautiful. I fucking love it, James!” I leap into his arms, wrapping myself around him. “I love you so damn much.”
He grins, pulling me closer. “And Dominic? He’s staying in my old house.”
I pull back just slightly, blinking at him. “Wait—what?”
James smirks devilishly. “You really think I’d let him stay with us? Baby, I need privacy with my wife. I want to fuck her whenever I want, wherever I want… without any disturbance.”
He pulls me even closer, grinding himself against me as he kisses me—hard and deep, like he’s trying to make a statement with his lips alone.
My knees go weak.
When he pulls back, we’re both breathless.
Then he suddenly lifts me and throws me over his shoulder like I weigh nothing.
“James!” I laugh, swatting at his back.
“Now let’s mark our new home with our love… like we always do.” He spanks my ass playfully.
“I can’t wait.” I giggle, clinging to him, already aching for what’s to come.
As he carries me inside, I know one thing for sure.
This man isn’t just my husband.
He’s my world. Now I’m nothing without him.
