Chapter 105 Levi's POV

Chapter 105 Levi's POV

One moment he was dragging me by the hand to the bedroom and the next, my back hit the wall and his mouth crashed against mine.
The kiss wasn’t gentle at all. He kissed me like he was about to devour his favourite food. My brain immediately stopped functioning—which was rude, because I needed it.
His hand settled against my waist while the other slid into my hair. The kiss deepened until remembering my own name became difficult. Heat flooded through my entire body. Lucifiel kissed like he was trying to memorize the shape of my mouth, like he was afraid this might be the last chance he got.
When he finally pulled back, it was only far enough for our foreheads to rest together. Neither of us said a word.
The hell broke the silence. “You are making this really difficult.”
I blinked. “What?”
“The plan.”
Oh. Right. The murder-bait thing. I had almost forgotten.
I looked up at him. “ We just finished having this conversation less than 10 minutes ago. I know you hate it.”
“More than you realize.” His voice sounded tired.
I reached up and touched his face. His eyes softened immediately. “Il be okay. We’ll be okay.”
He laughed. The sound held absolutely no amusement. “That is exactly the kind of sentence people say before everything goes wrong.”
I rolled my eyes. “You spend too much time overthinking this. And it's starting to make you look kinda dramatic.”
“Says the person who just offered themselves as sacrifice."
He was never going to let me live down that decision.
Before I could argue, something shifted in his expression.“Lucifiel...”
“Quiet.” The word was soft, but it carried absolute authority. “Just for a minute.”
He dropped to his knees without another word.
My back was still against the wall. My pulse was loud in my ears. Lucifiel looked up at me once—crimson eyes dark with intent—before he undid my zipper and pushed down my pants along my briefs down to my ankle and took me into his mouth without warning.
"Fuck!" I gasped.
The sensation was immediate and overwhelming. His mouth was hot and cold all at the same time. I choked on a sound that might have been his name. One of his hands pinned my hip to the wall while the other massaged my balls. He didn't tease at all, he just sucked like he was claiming me all over again, like the only way to quiet the fear in his chest was to remind both of us that I was still here, still his, still breathing.
"AHH!"
My fingers tangled in his hair. My head fell back against the wall. Every unwanted thought evaporated under the relentless wetness of his mouth. He hummed low in his throat when I gasped, the vibration shooting straight through me. I was already close to going over the edge but he didn’t slow down. If anything, he took me deeper, eyes half-lidded, completely focused.
"Ah. Ah.ahhhhh."
I came with a strangled sound I could have sworn wasn't me. Lucifiel swallowed around me, steady and unhurried, until the aftershocks faded and my knees threatened to give out.
Only then did he rise. He wiped the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, looking entirely too composed for someone who had just undone me against a wall. He tucked me back into my clothes with careful hands, then kissed me again—slower this time making me taste myself on his tongue.
“Better,” he murmured against my lips.
I was still trying to remember how to breathe when a knock interrupted us.
“Unless you two plan on getting married in there, Rahul wants everyone back outside.”
I groaned. It was Derek's voice . Lucifiel looked annoyed enough to commit crimes. Unfortunately neither of us had a choice.
A few minutes later everyone gathered in the living room again. My legs still felt slightly gelly. Lucifiel stood close enough that our shoulders brushed, as if the last ten minutes hadn’t happened—or as if they had, and he wanted everyone to know it.
Rahul stood beside the table. Several items sat neatly arranged in front of him: a watch, a pair of glasses, a silver button.
I frowned. “What am I looking at?”
Rahul pointed at the watch first. “Tracking device.” Then the glasses. “Secondary tracker.” Then the button. “Tertiary tracker.”
I stared. “How many times exactly are you planning to track me?”
“ill be tracking you through all these devices.”
Derek picked up the watch. “This thing probably cost a fortune.”
“It costs more than the fortune you're thinking about.”
I grabbed the watch. It looked normal enough—nothing fancy, nothing suspicious. Which apparently was the point.
Rahul nodded. “Good.” Then he looked directly at me. “Do not remove any of them no matter what.”
“I wasn’t planning to.”
“I mean it.”
I rolled my eyes. The man worried too much. Which was rich coming from me.
The next hour disappeared into preparation—routes, locations, backup plans, emergency plans, backup plans for the backup plans. By the end of it my head hurt. Lucifiel looked increasingly unhappy as time slowly swept by. Every new detail seemed to make him hate the operation more. I couldn’t even blame him, I would hate to see him in any possible risk situation.
Then Rahul’s phone rang. Everyone looked up. Rahul answered immediately. His expression changed after only a few seconds.
“What happened?” Kael asked.
Rahul lowered the phone. “they took the bait.”
Everywhere went quiet as Reality dawned on us.
“What did he say?” I asked.
Rahul picked up his tablet and read. “He agreed to the meeting.”
A little relief settled over me. Finally, some Progress. This was really happening .
Unfortunately Rahul continued. “And he has conditions.”
Of course he did. Because nothing could ever be simple.
Lucifiel’s expression darkened instantly. “What conditions?”
Rahul looked up. “The meeting will happen.” he sighed “ but Lucifiel isn’t allowed anywhere near it.”
Well. That went about as badly as expected.
“No.” Lucifiel answered immediately. Nobody looked surprised.
Rahul sighed. “We knew you would say that.”
“Then why are we still discussing it?”
Because he had a point. There was absolutely no universe where Lucifiel agreed to stay away willingly. None. Zero. Not happening.
Kael folded his arms. “According to Adrian, if Lucifiel appears, the meeting is canceled.”
“Then cancel it.” The response came instantly.
Rahul pinched the bridge of his nose. He was obviously getting frustrated by Lucifiel at this point.“We need this meeting.”
“We need Adrian breathing significantly less.”
I tried very hard not to laugh but failed. Lucifiel glanced at me. I immediately looked innocent.
Derek leaned back. “Okay.” Everybody looked at him. “What? Let’s all acknowledge the obvious. Lucifiel isn’t staying away.” Correct. “And Adrian knows that.” Also correct. “So either Adrian is bluffing.” He raised one finger. “Or he has something planned.”
Something tells me Derek was right. If Lucifiel not coming is the condition, then they have other plans.
Nobody seemed particularly happy about it. The rest of the day disappeared into arguments—mostly between Rahul and Lucifiel. I stopped trying to keep score at some point.
Eventually a compromise was formed. Lucifiel wouldn’t attend the meeting. Officially. Which meant he absolutely intended to attend the meeting unofficially. Everyone knew it. Nobody acknowledged it, including me. Sometimes pretending was easier.
The following day arrived faster than expected. The waiting was driving me insane. Before Rahul finally announced it was time.
Everybody became serious. Again.
The meeting location sat on the edge of the city—old buildings, quiet streets, minimal civilian traffic. Exactly the kind of place suspicious people liked meeting.
I adjusted the watch on my wrist, the button sat attached to my shirt and the glasses rested comfortably on my face. Apparently I was now the world’s most heavily monitored human.
The closer departure became, the worse Lucifiel's mood looked. By the time we reached the vehicles he looked ready to murder someone—possibly Adrian, possibly Rahul, possibly everyone.
I touched his arm. His attention immediately shifted toward me.
“Relax.”
He glared at me for a second before his stare softened." That's going to be one of the most difficult things to do right now."
His eyes remained fixed on mine. He reached out and adjusted my collar.
“Be careful.”
I smiled. “I will.”
Before either of us could continue, Rahul appeared. “ It's time.”
Lucifiel looked like he wanted to throw Rahul into traffic. But Rahul remained completely unbothered by Lucifiel, which . I kinda respect honesty
The meeting location wasn’t what I expected. Instead of abandoned warehouses or underground hideouts, it was a parking lot. A few people moved around going to their various vehicles while a few people hung around talking.
Rahul stayed behind. Kael disappeared somewhere nearby. Derek remained hidden as backup. Lucifiel… well. Officially absent. Which was hilarious, because I could practically feel him somewhere nearby—watching, waiting and probably planning murder.
As I stepped further into the parking lot the number of people suddenly became lesser and lesser.
Then someone suddenly appeared in front of me.
My breath caught. For a second my brain stopped working. Because I knew him. Or rather—I didn’t. Yet somehow I did.
The resemblance hit me instantly. The eyes, face and features. Like looking into an older version of myself.
No way.
My heart rate spiked up for a few seconds before I forced myself to calm down. If he was anything like those images, he most likely can hear my heart beat .
The man smiled— a heart warming smile. Nothing like the monster from the security footage. Nothing like the killer I’d imagined. He looked… normal. But I wasn't getting fooled.
The man crossed the distance between us. Fast. And before I could react—his arms wrapped around me.
I froze completely. My brain stopped functioning again. The man held me tightly, like he couldn’t quite believe I was real. His voice broke when he finally spoke.
“Levi.”
My heart started hammering again. Slowly he pulled back. His eyes looked suspiciously bright. And for the first time I noticed something else. He was shaking. Just slightly. Like he was struggling to keep himself together.
I stared at him. I was starting to get confused myself.
The man smiled again—a sad smile this time. “Look at you. Look how big you've grown.”
I couldn’t find words. I opened my mouth but nothing came out.
"I have been searching for you for so long." Then he pulled me into another hug.
Why does he look happy to see me if he wants to kill me?
