Chapter 35
Aurora's POV
"Here, try this one." He moves the spoon towards my mouth and tastes the vanilla pudding.
"Bleh." I gag and he bursts out laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"It's funny how you find the mint so delicious, but one of the most common ones you can't stand." He shakes his head and I lean back in the chair.
"The mint tastes pretty good." I nod agreeing with myself and he rolls his eyes, standing. I stand too, grabbing his hand and we walk out of the sample shop.
"Hotel?" We were out for pretty much the whole day, and I was quite tired so I nodded.
"You can't do that!" I cry as Wes eats the last gummy bear.
"I'm sorry. Did you want some?" He teases and I pout walking to the bedroom with my head down dramatically.
"Aw babe." He grips my hand and I slap him away. "Feisty."
He pulls out another packet and I grin.
"Ah, ah, ah." He holds it behind his back. "Kiss first."
My face goes flat and I peck his lips.
"What kinda disgraceful kiss was that?" He says in disgust and I giggle. "Cmon, give daddy some sugar."
I roll my eyes, clearly amused before snaking my hand behind his back, and crashing my lips onto his. He groans and I cunningly grab the packet and run away.
"Hey!" He yells running after me and I run into the bathroom laughing. I lock the door and sit on the floor, nibbling on my goodness. "Aurora." He warns and I smirk at the door.
"I swear if you don't get out of that bathroom I will break down the door." I think of the possibility and I shake my head. I think not.
A few seconds later, there's silence, only the rattling of the door before it bursts open.
I gasp, as he stands there with his hands crossed.
"I believe you owe me sugar." He says and I raise an eyebrow.
"I gave you sugar." He narrows his eyes playfully before grabbing my feet. "Hey... what're you- Wes!"
I was being dragged through the room, my butt dragging on the floor as I started choking on gummy bears.
"You refused to give me sugar. And you will pay." He says imitating a monster and I laugh, playing along.
"Okay, okay wait. I'll give you your sugar." He stops for a moment. "But you have to come and get it." While he was distracted. I quickly get up and he scoffs while chasing me again.
"You run like a girl." Soon I'm tackled to the ground and I groan. He crawls over me and I sigh dramatically.
"Well, you caught me. A deal is a deal." He grins, lowering himself and captivating our lips in a slow kiss. I bury my hands in his hair and he kisses me harder.
The phone rings and I smile.
Must be Thomas.
I push Wes off and he grunts while reaching for me.
Picking up the phone, surely, Ronin's name showed brightly.
"This child is a monster!" He whispers yells and I raise an eyebrow. "You have to help me Aurora. I'm begging you."
"What? What's going on?"
"H-he just can't stop attacking me. It's not my fault he didn't listen when you were leaving, now he won't leave me alone!" I hear the door creak open and I furrow my brows as Ronin goes quiet.
"Ronin?"
"If I don't make it. I love you." He whispers and I resist the urge to laugh.
"I love you too buddy." I giggle.
"Aurora... he's- Ahhhh."
"Get back here," Thomas yells and I grin.
"Ronin, let me talk to him," I say and all of a sudden the phone drops.
"Here! Talk to her!" Ronin screams.
"Thomas?" I call.
"Where are you?" He asks and I smile.
"Daddy and I went on vacation remember?"
"And you forgot me." He says matter-of-factly.
"No.. it was just supposed to be the two of us."
"Oh me and you?" He asks innocently.
"Daddy and I." He aws.
"We'll be back soon don't worry."
"Okay. I'm gonna go play now."
"Hey, and don't hurt uncle Ronin." I smile.
"I won't." He murmurs.
I hang up and Wes sits on the ground, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Oh, its nothing."
