Chapter 124 Part 6

Chapter 124 Part 6
Lynn

“Heavens no! One bossy man in my life is plenty.” I stroke Damon's cheek. He groans. I pat his cheek. “You can have all of me later.”

Damon growls, “Already planned to.” I smile.

Serge glares at Damon as he says, “Brother, keep your pants on. We are still in a discussion.” He then looks at me. “So you could end me financially? How?”

“Well, Demon Unhinged is a king who bows to his queen.” I motion to myself. “And well, it only takes one word from her and it's done.”

Serge looks into my eyes. “Prove it.”

I smile. “Gladly.” I pick up my phone, and as my finger hovers over a button, I say, “Fine, just a simple test for now. Watch your stock plummet!” His phone starts going crazy with alerts as I keep my gaze and my sweet smile. “How low would you like it to go?”

Serge gasps, “Shit! This is fucking real!”

“Yes, why wouldn't it be? You fully intended to either claim me or take my husband. Two things that must be punished.” I laugh and suck the icing from my fork.

Serge looks at me with regret. “Please stop.”

He's asking sincerely. I nod. “Give me your word that no harm will come to anyone I know, including myself and my baby.”

Serge extends his hand. “You have my word. Please stop.”

I shake his hand as I hit a button on my phone with my other hand. “Alright. It will be undone.”

Serge looks at me in awe. “You're definitely the Dark Queen.”

“Damon, you knew for how long?” Serge asks.

Damon smirks. “I suspected that she was the bane of my existence. But I didn't know until our first night together. Now, maybe you can see why I married her.” He puts my hand on his hard bulge. I giggle and rub it. Then I grip it hard. He hisses. “Playing with fire there, Kitten.”

“You started it. Plus, I don't mind getting burned a bit.”

We laugh. Damon says, “Always a fucking brat.”

I smirk. “That's queen brat to you.”

Damon chuckles. “Apologies, your majesty.”

Ardin shakes his head. “Seriously, you two chill, I don't want to have to fend off a PR nightmare trying to explain indecent exposure charges.”

“Spoilsport.”

Ardin laughs. “Just eat your cake.”

“Oh, I will.”

Serge looks at me. “You know Damon will still find a way to repay me.”

“I've already planned for it,” I reply.

Damon nods. “Man, she knows me.”

Serge sighs. “So what are my options?”

“Well, I could take over as boss for one.” I twirl my fork.

Serge shakes his head. “You're not a killer. You're not cold enough for it.”

I lean over and look him in the eyes, because I would kill for love. “Well, I don't seem like a fighter or hacker either, yet I am.”

Serge nods. “Fine. What's the other option?”

“A business proposal of sorts.”

Serge replies, “I'm hoping it's better than the alternatives.”

“It is because you can keep your empire and your precious little balls.”

Ardin chuckles. Damon snaps at him. “Ardin, don't encourage this.” Then he looks at me. “Kitten!”

“I don't see you doing anything, so I will. Now, I am sure that my singing earlier will go viral. So like I said earlier, by morning, everyone will know that I'm pregnant. That does a few things. It puts extra eyes on me, so any thought you had of running off with me or Damon is now moot. My connections will also see it and will know that I did it for a reason. They will want answers. They, like you, will resort to whatever is needed to get those answers.”

Damon says, “Lynn.”

I look at him. “I know you. If I don't take control, you will. I both trust and love you, but I don't trust that you'd honor my wishes in what you'd do to repay the debt. This baby needs her father, both of them, as do I. So you will obey me in this!”

Damon nods. “Alright.”

I turn to Serge, “So, first duration, we are all busy people. I will be in London for two weeks, plus numerous appearances over the next few months, in addition to monthly doctor appointments. If things are normal, if not, then weekly to biweekly could be scheduled.”

Ardin says, “Sweetheart, nothing will go wrong. We will all hold this baby.”

“We don't know that. I could get another blood clot.”

Ardin kisses my forehead before he sits back down and says, “You know that's unlikely. Chris caused yours not to have a clotting disorder. Plus, Doc Andi knows your history just as I do.”

Damon squeezes my hand. “Don't you go and blame yourself either. You fought him and escaped.”

“I didn't fight well enough, but I can now.” I notice that Serge's expression changes as he lets his mask slip just a bit.

Serge speaks softly yet with conviction, “Lynn, I'm not a monster. I used to be, and you know that. I work with the law and not Mario's way of doing it either. We only hit those that the authorities tell us to, unless someone tries to harm what's mine.”

“Define what you consider yours, because our definitions may differ.”
