Chapter 59 Blow up The Villa
Eli's POV
The air in the study seemed to freeze.
Don Nelson fell in front of me with wide eyes. The sharp alarm finally echoed throughout the villa.
I watched coldly as Delilah screamed and threw herself at Don Nelson. She trembled as she gripped his hand, staring at him in a daze like she'd lost her mind.
Don Nelson had reacted too slowly.
I hadn't expected killing him would be so smooth. I pulled out a handkerchief and sat on the sofa, wiping my gun.
Of course, the main reason was that he never imagined I would dare make a move against him.
Nelson family made men rushed in. Delilah's brother Jacob charged in first.
When he saw Don Nelson's body on the floor, he didn't react immediately. He loudly questioned Delilah. "What the hell happened? How did Papa die?!"
I stood up voluntarily, playing with the silver pistol in my hand as I answered him.
"No need to ask. I killed him."
As soon as I spoke, everyone in the study raised their guns at me. Each face showed extreme anger. They stared at me like they wanted to pierce me through.
The atmosphere immediately became tense.
I knew that if I dared move wrong, these guns would turn me into a sieve.
I gripped my gun tightly and looked at them calmly.
Delilah finally seemed to wake up. She cried and threw herself at me. She grabbed my collar tightly, kicking and screaming.
"Why did you kill my daddy!" Delilah shouted in breakdown. Her face was covered in tears, her eyes filled only with venom and hatred.
"Even if he worked with Christian to steal your goods, didn't you already handle it! My daddy said he wouldn't charge you!"
I coldly looked down and grabbed her wrists, forcefully throwing her into Jacob's arms.
Jacob caught her with a dark expression and raised his gun at me. "You're asking for death!"
I suddenly raised my pistol, pointing it at Jacob's forehead with a fierce look.
"Don Nelson betrayed me. Killing him was just following the rules!"
Jacob's chest heaved violently. He stared at me angrily, his gun not moving at all.
He roared. "Even if my father betrayed you, that doesn't mean he violated the alliance with the Martinez family! Christian is the future heir of the Martinez family. Even if they stole your goods, at most it was just immoral!"
He rushed over and punched me hard in the stomach. I didn't back down, grabbing him and throwing him to the ground with an over-the-shoulder throw.
We started fighting back and forth like this.
Jacob didn't suppress his anger at all. Every punch aimed for my vital spots, wanting to beat me to death.
But he was no match for me. I not only blocked his fierce attacks but took the chance to hit him several times! Soon we were both bleeding, our movements becoming more vicious, like two wolves in a death battle, determined to bite off a piece of each other's flesh.
"You killed my father purely to vent your emotions! I won't let you leave this villa alive!" Jacob stared at me with bloodshot eyes.
I blocked his punch and sneered. "Are you really unaware of what Don Nelson did, or are you playing dumb?"
Jacob's movements paused. I took the chance to flip him over and pressed my gun to his forehead.
"You've been working with outside families to steal Martinez family business for years. Did you really think we didn't know? You leaked the arms information to Gage, let him steal the weapons, then used those same weapons to screw me over? Do you think I'm as stupid as Christian?!"
I applied pressure, pressing the gun barrel hard against Jacob's forehead. His expression immediately changed!
"You... how did you know!" Jacob reached for his gun but I kicked it away.
My face showed mockery. "I told you I'm not as stupid as Christian, thinking you'd be loyal just because you proposed cooperation."
I'd started investigating carefully after the Martinez family business suffered losses. Even though they'd hidden it well, I still uncovered the truth.
I grabbed Jacob with one hand and shoved him hard, making him crash into his men behind him.
Being humiliated in front of his subordinates, Jacob finally came clean!
He roared angrily. "There are no completely solid alliances in this world! Now that you've killed our don, I'll kill you too!"
"Yes! Kill him!" Delilah screamed along.
Why were these two so loud?
"You can't kill me." My tone was certain.
Jacob laughed angrily and looked at me mockingly.
"Are you scared stupid? This is the Nelson family villa. Inside and out, it's all Nelson family people. How could we not kill you?"
I gestured for him to look at himself. "Why don't you see what's on your forehead?"
Countless red dots focused on his brow and heart.
Delilah pointed at him in terror and screamed. "You're being targeted!"
"Close the curtains quickly!" Jacob froze in place and hurriedly ordered his men.
The Nelson family made men immediately swarmed forward, shielding Jacob tightly.
They were worried that outside snipers could determine Jacob's position through human thermal imaging, but they were thinking too simply.
"You think that solves it?" I stared at Jacob mockingly. "My people have planted bombs all around. If I die, the bombs will explode too. Forget about you, the entire Nelson family will cease to exist."
Jacob's face turned green with anger.
I put my pistol back in my pocket. "I only killed your father. I don't want to kill other Nelson family members."
Jacob's face showed some hesitation. "I don't believe it! Even if you don't act, when Don Martinez learns what we did, he won't spare us either. In that case, we might as well all die together!"
I scoffed. "If even I know about it, how could my father not know?"
"Are you telling the truth?" Jacob raised his hand, signaling the made men behind him not to act rashly. "Don Martinez knows everything Christian did too?"
I nodded.
"Don't believe him, brother!" Delilah anxiously grabbed Jacob. "Kill him! He killed our father!"
Jacob's expression darkened. After thinking for a while, he spoke with difficulty. "Go."
"No!" Delilah grabbed Jacob's sleeve. "We can't let him go!"
Slap!
Jacob slapped Delilah hard. "Calm down! I can't let the rest of the family die here with us!"
I knew he chose to preserve the entire Nelson family. Of course, he was also choosing to become the new don rather than die.
I had no interest in watching these siblings argue. I turned and walked toward the door.
Just as I reached the doorway, Delilah chased after me from behind.
Ignoring the made men trying to stop her, she shouted loudly. "Eli! Did you ever love me at all!"
