CHAPTER 48

When he asked me what I wanted to happen, I was really tempted to demand that he forbid Kimberly from going to the hotel. It's just that, I also know that Amir won't agree to what I want to happen and I'll just come out as a villain.

"He should not be allowed to sleep here. It's awkward because he's in the other room while we're here next to each other," I said and the kid just laughed at me. I was here and was very sad because of what happened but he just laughed at me.

"Are you afraid he will hear us? You're making noise because, eh." The man said.

"Hey! That's not what I want to say. Real talk, Amir. It's just that your ex is in the other room, whom you used to love so much." I told him.

"All right. I will tell him later," Amir promised.

"Why later? Right now!" I instructed him to call the woman to talk about the sleeping arrangement.

"He's still with the kids, Jamie. I don't want him frowning while with Akeem and Ameerah." Amir's statement.

"I hope all concerns are still with the ex," I imitated Rhea's line.

"It's not like that, it's just that, the children are poor if Kimberly is not in the mood." The man explained.

I understood what he said and meant but I couldn't nod. It's still heavy in my heart that Kimberly and I can disturb us anytime. "Okay, fine. Just make sure that I won't be hurt by him coming here all the time, Amir. You know me, I don't want any part of that in your heart." I warned him.

"Promise, I really only love you right now, Jamie. Whatever came between us and Kimberly, that's over. Past is past," explained Amir.

I sighed heavily because I knew nothing would happen even if we talked for a few more hours. "Okay, I understand. By the way, Rhea and I are going to Veritas the next day," I told him. Even though Rhea hasn't talked to the LGU yet, I know he can find a way that the job fair is the next day. Amir frowned and seemed to know what he was going to say.

"In Veritas? Why?"

It did not escape my scrutinizing eyes how his jaw moved as he asked the reason for my return to Veritas. "Job Fair. Khalifa is about to open there, so I have to go to select the staff." I explained.

"Who are you with?" He was curious.

"Rhea," I answered.

"I'm fine," he said.

"You're not okay yet, eh. The doctor said you need to rest for a few more days," I reminded him.

"Brent is from Veritas, Jamie. He might even trouble you," he said.

I just ignored what he said because I know how to stop Brent. Also, that person is already married. "Whatever happened between us and Brent before, that's in the past. Past is past," I told him but he didn't like that I copied what he said earlier when we argued about Kimberly.

"I don't trust that one!" Amir insisted.

"Same here. I don't trust Kimberly either," I said.

"Kimberly's situation is different, Jamie." Amir's statement while defending the woman.

"What is the difference? They are both part of our past," I said.

"Because we have a child," insisted Amir.

"Hmmm maybe I need to give birth to Brent first so I can understand your logic," I said jokingly but he suddenly jumped from the bed towards me. "Doesn't your body hurt anymore?" I asked him.

"What did you say? Have a baby with Brent? Just try and I might kill that person!"

"Killed? Well, you didn't retaliate when you fought, did you." I teased him, but before he had a high blood pressure attack I hugged him tightly. "I love you now and I'm happy with you," I told him. "Are you really okay?" I asked him.

"Is what you said true?"

"I'll prove it, eh." I challenged him with chukchakan but of course it was just a joke. I still have a lot to finish on the chin.

"How?" he asked.

"PM sent," I jokingly answered him and he immediately frowned because he didn't understand what I said.

"What is PM sent?"

"Nothing. I said you're handsome now even though you're disabled," I joked to him again but my heart almost jumped when he picked me up and carried me to the bed.

"Whatever is on your mind right now, don't let it go Amir! I still have work downstairs and an appointment after lunch," I told him.

"What am I thinking?" he asked me

"Gosh, you're pretending to be! That's it, take off your shorts." I said and pointed to the thing I noticed. Instead of being embarrassed, the fool just grinned and immediately lowered the shorts he was wearing. It's not that I don't want to but I just want to annoy him. Using the comforter, I quickly wrapped my body and only my head came out. I looked stupid for what I did but it was still worth it when I saw his jaw tighten in anger. When I noticed that his nose was already puffy, I immediately removed the wrapped comforter. "Here!" I told him as I waved my bare panties in front of him.

"The speed, ah." He said laughing.

"Of course, you might change your mind, eh." I said and then got up from the bed to hug him who was just standing there. "Remember that I love you very much," I said while hugging his neck with both of my hands.

When Amir's face came down towards me, I didn't try hard to get and met his kiss. I first sucked his bottom lip but he didn't give up and sucked my lips too.

Just a kiss, I immediately exploded with desire so I lowered one of my hands and felt his muscular chest, towards his stomach, until I reached the part of his body that was burning with heat.

Amir was startled as he touched it. However, he still did not leave my lips. He continued to attack me with his tongue, until the man must have had enough, and he moved to my neck. He bit my neck a little as if Dracula was stalking him and tried where he could pierce my neck.

His mouth gradually went down towards my chest and I moaned when I felt his simple bite on my chest. What he did was a bit painful and I knew he marked me.

"Amir…," I called his name as he cupped one of my breasts. I fell asleep and that's the last thing I remember before he laid me down on the bed.
