Chapter 73 Sophia's Anger

Chapter 73 Sophia's Anger

After picking up the jewelry from Jade Haven, Sophia headed straight to Nexus Talent Agency.

Before she even reached the entrance, she heard a chorus of enthusiastic shouts.

"Ronnie! Ronnie!"

"Gia! Gia! The most beautiful in the world!"

The entrance was crowded with fans, each holding up signs and cheering loudly.

Hearing their fervent support, Sophia stood outside, observing the situation.

It didn't seem like there was a way to get in.

She sent a message to Daphne and received a response quickly.

In no time, three people hurried out of the building.

"Hello, Welcome! Are you from Jade Haven? I apologize for the inconvenience of having to come all the way here. Let's get inside quickly."

The man leading the group was panting heavily, his plump figure evident.

Sweat covered his forehead as he rushed out to stand in front of Sophia, his face showing clear signs of panic.

'Who is this guy...'

"Alright."

Pressed for time, Sophia didn't ask further questions.

She followed the three people through the back door, heading straight to a dressing room.

"Ms. Morgan, the person from Jade Haven is here. Let's get Ronnie Ford to try it on."

The chubby man, smiling obsequiously, stepped aside to reveal Sophia.

Sophia looked up at the woman opposite her, who was wearing a perfectly tailored suit dress that accentuated her figure.

One glance at her eyes, and Sophia could see the sharp intelligence there.

The woman's gaze swept over Sophia, finally landing on her mask.

"Are you sick? I thought Ms. Kingsley would recommend someone more considerate. Why would Jade Haven send someone sick to deliver the item? What if you infect Ronnie and delay his work?"

Isla was infuriated by her overbearing tone and stepped forward to demand an explanation.

Suddenly, a hand appeared in her line of sight, stopping her.

"Ms. Morgan, there's a misunderstanding. My face is sensitive to strong sunlight, so I wear a mask."

Hearing this, Daphne's eyes fixed on Sophia.

"There's no strong light inside. If you don't take off your mask, I'll have to question Jade Haven's credibility. It seems we might not have any future collaborations."

She was clearly insisting that Sophia remove her mask.

Daphne also worried about privacy breaches, fearing stalkers might use this opportunity to steal celebrity information.

Sophia sighed inwardly, realizing she had forgotten about this issue.

She raised her hand and removed the mask, revealing her makeup-free face.

"Ms. Morgan, is this better?"

Seeing Sophia's bare face, Daphne's eyes lit up. Her looks were strikingly beautiful and versatile!

If this face were to appear in the entertainment industry, it would surely cause a stir.

Daphne quickly stepped forward, warmly grabbing Sophia's hand.

"What's your name? Are you signed with any agency? Would you be interested in joining our company? I can make you a star!"

Sophia was taken aback by the sudden enthusiasm. The woman's attitude changed so quickly.

"Ms. Morgan, thank you for your interest, but I don't have any plans to debut. Besides, I might be past the optimal age for it."

Daphne clapped Sophia on the shoulder.

"Nonsense! While starting young is good, with your looks, age doesn't matter. If you want to enter the industry, I can make you a star!"

Her words were firm, leaving no room for doubt.

Sophia didn't know much about Daphne personally, but from what Mia had said, her professional skills were top-notch among agents.

"Here's my card. Keep it. Contact me if you change your mind!"

The card was simple and white, with Daphne's name, phone number, and work information.

Sophia politely took the card with both hands, examined it, and then placed it in her bag.

"Alright, Ms. Morgan. Here's the custom jade bracelet from Jade Haven. Please take a look."

When the wooden box was opened, a lustrous jade bracelet came into view.

Made primarily of white jade with touches of black jade, it exuded a warm yet steady elegance, enhanced by Jade Haven's unique design.

Daphne nodded in satisfaction.

"No wonder Ms. Kingsley recommended your brand. I was a bit anxious when I first heard about it, worried you wouldn't meet our expectations. But now I see my worries were unfounded."

She turned around and called out.

"Get Ronnie out here to try it on. It was made to his measurements. Tell him to stop playing games backstage and come out."

Daphne's voice made everyone in the dressing room shiver.

She was quite intimidating in the workplace.

"Ms. Morgan, Ronnie is here."

As soon as the words were spoken, Sophia looked up. A slender man in a suit, with blond hair, walked in, his eyes glued to his phone, the sound of a game blaring from it.

Sophia and Isla exchanged glances. Why so childish did this star seem?

"Ronnie, this is the accessory Ms. Morgan arranged for you. Wear it on the red carpet later."

"Yeah, yeah, got it."

Ronnie never took his eyes off the screen, casually grabbing the bracelet and tossing it aside.

Sophia felt a surge of anxiety and quickly stepped forward to secure the box.

Everyone in the room gasped, looking nervously at the center.

Noticing the change in atmosphere, Ronnie looked up.

"What's going on?"

His indifferent tone infuriated Sophia.

She stared straight ahead, her eyes cold as she addressed Daphne.

"Ms. Morgan, if your star disrespects Jade Haven's products like this, I don't think we can continue our collaboration."

"Jade Haven?"

Ronnie looked up, revealing a stunningly handsome face with well-defined features.

He looked sunny but had a hint of immaturity. How did such a man become famous in the brutal entertainment industry?

Was it just because of his looks?

Indeed, men had it easier in the industry. Being handsome was enough.

Daphne, still smiling, quickly stepped forward, rubbing her hands together.

"Ms. Brown, Ronnie can be a bit spoiled, but he's a good kid. Thank you for catching that in time. Otherwise, the bracelet..."

Sophia finished her sentence coldly.

"Otherwise, the bracelet would be in pieces."

Sophia wouldn't tolerate anyone disrespecting Jade Haven's products, no matter who they were.

Ronnie glanced at her, then turned back to his phone, dismissively saying, "It's just a bracelet. If it breaks, it breaks."
