Chapter 70 The Classic Opening Line of the Male Model
Chapter 70 The Classic Opening Line of the Male Model
The moment the three of them appeared, they stole the spotlight.
Everyone's eyes turned towards them simultaneously.
"Is that Ms. Kingsley?"
"Who's the girl with her? She's gorgeous. Guess it's true, beautiful people stick together."
"Don't even think about hitting on them. Folks from families like theirs are way out of our league."
"Chill, I know my limits. I'm more interested in those guys who just walked in. Looks like Ms. Kingsley ordered male models!"
About a dozen men of varied appearances entered the VIP room one after another.
The soundproofing in the room was top-notch, completely blocking out the noise from outside.
Aurelia grabbed Sophia and pulled her onto the sofa, pushing a platter of fruit towards her.
"Sophia, this VIP room is always reserved for me. It's cleaned regularly by staff, but no one else uses it. So, it's super clean, don't worry!"
Aurelia had even considered this detail, showing how meticulous she was.
However, Sophia didn't particularly like this place. She glanced around; each male model had distinct features, but none were as striking as Philip. If Philip were here, he'd probably be the top seller.
"Ms. Kingsley, these three are new to our establishment. How do you find their quality?" The manager said with a smile, pushing the three forward.
The nervousness on their faces was evident, completely at odds with the surrounding atmosphere.
Aurelia took a sip of wine, her scrutinizing gaze sweeping over them.
"They look alright. Sophia, do you fancy any of them? If you do, we can keep them to entertain you."
Isla listened intently from the side, her gaze fixed on Sophia.
"No thanks, I'm not interested in them. The orange juice is good, though."
The bartender rolled his eyes internally. A top-tier mixologist like him, now reduced to making fresh juice!
His skills were all about mixing drinks, yet here he was, juicing fruits—a real insult to his profession!
Suddenly, two stacks of cash were thrown in front of him.
"My friend praised your juice. This $20,000 is for you."
The bartender's earlier irritation vanished, replaced by enthusiasm for juicing.
"Thank you, Ms. Kingsley! I'll make the best juice in the world and serve this lady well!"
Sophia's lips twitched. She had felt his anger just moments ago, and now it was completely pacified. Money really does cure all.
"Sophia, you probably don't frequent places like this. Since you're not familiar, I'll make the decision for you. You, the one in the white shirt, come over and stay by my friend's side. Do a good job and I'll give you extra."
The young man looked momentarily dazed, then quickly rushed to Sophia's side. His sudden movement startled her; he seemed no older than twenty.
He looked at Sophia with a timid, deer-in-headlights expression.
"Ms. Brown, would you like some fruit? I can peel it for you."
He asked shyly, reaching for some grapes, but Sophia stopped him.
"No, thank you. I'm fine with just the juice. You can stay nearby without doing anything."
Noah froze for a moment, visibly anxious.
"Ms. Brown, are you dissatisfied with me? Please don't send me away."
His pleading eyes could easily sway anyone else with a few words.
"What brought you here with so much work to do?"
Her question seemed to trigger something in him; his expression turned melancholic.
"I used to have a happy family..."
This opening didn't seem right. Sophia frowned slightly but didn't interrupt him.
"I was happy once, but my dad got into gambling and racked up debts. My mom worked day and night to pay them off, ruining her health. She's bedridden now. I managed to get into college, but I couldn't afford the tuition. I have a younger sister and brother to support. This job isn't glamorous, but it's the highest-paying one I could find."
Noah's story grew more sorrowful, his eyes misting over.
His tragic family situation was truly overwhelming. Isla listened in shock, reassessing Noah with disbelief.
Could this be true? It sounded like a scripted tale, as if all of them had been learning from the same instructor.
"Ms. Brown, you're my first client. Meeting you is an honor. Please don't send me away."
His tearful expression made Sophia's juice hard to swallow. Was this an act?
"Who knew Noah's life was so tragic? Take this money as your tuition fee."
Aurelia generously threw another $20,000 in front of Noah, acting like a benefactor.
Isla was stunned. Two grand just from a few words?
"Thank you, Ms. Kingsley! With your support, my future will be much brighter. I'll never forget your kindness!"
His words were incredibly sincere, every action seemingly calculated.
What kind of training did these people undergo to be so dedicated?
Suddenly, a loud noise erupted outside, followed by screams.
"They're wrecking the place!"
The commotion caught the manager's attention. He turned back to reassure them.
"Ms. Kingsley, please rest here. I'll go check what's happening outside."
He opened the door and stepped out, only to be grabbed and dragged away like a rag doll.
A large hand gripped the door, pulling it open, revealing Philip's stern face, his gaze locked on Sophia.
Why was he here?
Sophia's heart skipped a beat, and her lips pressed tightly together. Though they weren't in a relationship, it felt like being caught by a husband.
"Mr. Mitchell? What brings you here? Are you looking for fun too?" Aurelia challenged, unsure of the situation.
Noah, sitting beside Sophia, felt a chill run down his spine, sensing trouble was approaching.
Philip said nothing, stepping inside with a menacing aura.
His gaze swept over the table full of drinks, igniting his fury. He kicked the table, sending bottles crashing to the floor, glass and liquor everywhere.
Everyone was startled. Aurelia screamed in terror.
"Philip, what are you doing? Even if the Mitchell family is powerful, you can't act lawlessly. My drinking is none of your business!"
Philip didn't respond, his eyes fixed on Sophia.
"Everyone, get out."
