Chapter 69 Sophia Hit the Bar
Chapter 69 Sophia Hit the Bar
Ten male models!
The three of them stared in shock.
Isla nervously glanced at the door, the curtain drawn.
If Philip found out...
She shuddered at the thought of what might happen next.
Not long after, they changed clothes, and as soon as they came out, Aurelia grabbed them and rushed outside to the car.
Isla, worried, followed closely behind, leaving the makeup artist alone. At that moment, the phone rang.
"Hey Isla, the dinner should be almost over, right? You can come back with Ms. Brown and the others later."
Hearing Mia's cheerful voice, Isla helplessly rubbed her forehead and looked in the direction where the three had left.
"I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. Ms. Brown and Ms. Kingsley went to a bar."
"What!"
Mia exclaimed, pacing anxiously.
What now!
If Philip found out, he would definitely blow up!
Before Isla could say anything else, the call was abruptly hung up.
She was frantic at home, just about to head out, but then stopped.
"Going out now would just give people more to gossip about. What should I do!"
After thinking it over, she decided to try calling, but the line was always busy.
"What's going on? Why is it always busy? Could someone else be calling Mrs. Mitchell?"
In the car, Sophia anxiously looked out the window, her mind not on the nightclub at all.
But anyone who could chat with Aurelia must have a wealthy background.
If she could turn them into clients and connections, her shop's development would be much smoother.
Her phone kept buzzing, catching her attention. Seeing the caller ID, Sophia frowned but answered the call anyway.
"The dinner's over, and you want to go to a bar? Sophia, you're getting bolder."
The cold voice made Sophia feel uneasy.
Philip really was relentless, always knowing her every move.
Before Sophia could respond, Aurelia looked up and asked.
"Is that your husband? He must be worried about you coming home late. Let me talk to him."
Aurelia grabbed the phone, speaking loudly and boldly.
"Hey, you must be Sophia's husband, right? How could you let such a beautiful wife work outside to earn money? What are you thinking!"
Sophia was dumbfounded by her words. What a brave soul!
Hearing the change in voice, Philip clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking as he spoke coldly.
"Let Sophia take the phone."
Aurelia laughed, mimicking his tone.
"Let Sophia take the phone? Who do you think you are, talking like that! If you can't treat your wife well, you should divorce her and not ruin her life. I'm waiting for her to marry Kieran!"
Sophia and Isla exchanged a look.
Aurelia was definitely crazy!
Before she could say anything more outrageous, Sophia quickly snatched the phone back, awkwardly smiling.
"Aurelia's drunk, don't take her words seriously."
"Who said I'm drunk? I haven't even started yet. When we get to the bar, we'll have ten male models lined up. Sophia, you can pick anyone! Hang up the phone already, your husband is useless!"
Aurelia grabbed the phone again and hung up, even turning it off.
This is not good...
Sophia looked helpless, hoping Philip wouldn't go crazy when she got back.
In a dark room, Philip sat in a chair, his gloomy eyes fixed on the disconnected phone screen.
Walter stood nearby, not daring to breathe, afraid of provoking Philip's wrath.
He had heard the conversation clearly.
Sophia going to a bar while pregnant, was this something she should be doing?
He lowered his head, trying to avoid eye contact with Philip.
"To the bar," Philip gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with rage. "Let's go."
He got up and headed out the door.
Walter didn't dare speak; he only took out his phone, frantically messaging Isla.
[Which bar are you at?]
[Send the location quickly, Mr. Mitchell is really angry!]
[Hurry up, send the location!]
Isla's WhatsApp suddenly lit up with messages from Walter.
Isla stared at the screen, puzzled by this unfamiliar contact.
Who was this person? She didn't recognize him.
Opening the chat, she saw the urgent messages.
A face suddenly flashed in her mind, and she remembered who he was.
Philip's assistant. That was him, wasn't it?
If he knew they were going to a bar, how could he not know the location?
Who knew what would happen next, Isla quickly deleted Walter's WhatsApp.
Walter was dumbfounded, staring at the exclamation mark.
"Why is she causing trouble at such a critical moment!"
Soon, they arrived at The Tipsy Tavern. The deafening sounds could be heard from outside.
Sophia didn't mind; she used to follow Finnian and Dax to bars often.
Isla nervously grabbed her arm, protecting Sophia closely.
"Ms. Brown, stay by my side."
Isla was on high alert from the moment they got out of the car, constantly wary of any potential danger.
"Don't be so tense, I already made arrangements with the people here before coming. Your safety is guaranteed, relax and let's go in!"
As the door opened, the intense DJ beats hit them.
The bartender at the door saw Aurelia and quickly pressed a button on his controller.
The noisy DJ music instantly turned into a smooth jazz tune.
"Ms. Kingsley, we've been waiting for you! You haven't been to The Tipsy Tavern in a while, haven't been lured away by other bars, have you?"
The manager hurriedly came out and ran to Aurelia, smiling obsequiously.
Aurelia scanned the surroundings, then looked at the men and women on the dance floor.
"Any newcomers lately? I brought my friends to see the scene today."
The manager quickly nodded.
"Yes, yes! We have three new ones; they haven't been picked by any customers yet. It's the best time to have fun. I'll bring them over for you to see."
