Chapter 68 Get You Ten Male Models

Chapter 68 Get You Ten Male Models

Sophia always felt a mysterious and dangerous vibe around this guy.

Without hesitation, she turned to leave, but his voice stopped her.

"Hey, since you're here, why not stick around for a bit? Not a fan of the vibe inside, huh?"

Sophia paused, her relaxed expression tightening as she slowly replied, "No, thanks."

"Really? I saw you arguing with someone from the Brown family earlier. If you go back in now, you'll be the center of attention."

Sophia hated being the focus of everyone's gaze.

This guy had read her mind perfectly. His ability to understand people so thoroughly confirmed her suspicion that he was no ordinary person.

"No need to be so cautious around me. We chess players often try to read minds subconsciously, but it's never intentional."

He turned his head slowly, and under the moonlight, Sophia saw his androgynous face.

Bruce had shoulder-length hair, tied back in a small ponytail.

Do all artists like to dress this way?

"Ms. Brown, if you want to leave, I can take you out of here," Isla offered, but Sophia stopped her.

"It's fine."

She walked over to a bench on the other side, sitting down as a warm breeze blew past, lifting the loose strands of hair at her temples, making her look serene and beautiful.

A heated, probing gaze lingered on her, making her uncomfortable and annoyed.

"Mr. Howard, staring at a woman like that is rude, don't you think?"

Bruce adjusted his posture, looking at Sophia with a mocking smile. "I'm just curious why Philip is attracted to you. What kind of magic do you have?"

Sophia ignored his casual remark but could feel Bruce's gaze slowly moving downward, stopping at her abdomen for a long time.

His perceptiveness was far beyond that of an ordinary person. If she remained silent, who knew what else he might ask?

She smiled faintly, turning to look at him. "Mr. Howard, I heard that your family's chess skills have only recently gained prominence. For a family of chess experts, shouldn't you have been famous nationwide long ago?"

Sophia's words trailed off, her eyes filled with playful amusement as she looked at Bruce.

Bruce's expression remained calmly smiling, but Sophia caught a fleeting glimpse of disgust and anger in his eyes.

"Even when Ms. Brown was out of touch, it seems you could still keep up with everything happening outside."

Sophia pressed her lips together, both of them like wolves lying in wait, ready to pounce at the right moment.

Her intuition told her Bruce was definitely not simple.

She laughed lightly, her beautiful face full of warmth. "Mr. Howard, you flatter me. I just had a passion for chess when I was young. My father searched high and low for three teachers, but none could teach me. If we had found the Howard family back then, I might have learned a thing or two."

Their conversation was filled with hidden tension.

Isla stood to the side, unable to fully grasp the conversation but sensing something was off.

She thought, didn't these two just meet?

The two fell into sudden silence, the tension only broken by a gust of wind.

Bruce stood up abruptly, adjusting his jacket. "The night wind's getting chilly. Ms. Brown, enjoy the view. I'm heading back inside."

"Sure, we'll talk again sometime."

With that, Bruce smiled at Sophia and walked toward the door, his smile vanishing the moment he turned away.

As the door closed, Sophia rested her chin on her hand, her eyes fixed on the direction Bruce had left.

Seeing her so engrossed, Isla pretended to cough.

"Cough, cough!" Sophia didn't react.

"Cough! Cough, cough!"

Sophia finally glanced at her, shaking her head in exasperation.

"Alright, stop it. Any more and you'll cough up a lung."

"Ms. Brown, do you have a thing for him?"

Isla's words startled Sophia, who quickly covered her mouth.

"What are you thinking? I'm not interested in romance."

She looked around, feeling uneasy, and pulled Isla back inside.

"It's getting late. The dinner party should be coming to a close soon. Let's head back."

With that, they left the balcony.

Unbeknownst to them, a marble-sized camera was hidden in a plant, capturing everything.

In a dark room, Sophia's voice came through clearly. The person watching the screen frowned, placing the monitor back on the table.

As soon as they stepped inside, Aurelia, beaming with excitement, rushed over and grabbed Sophia's wrist.

"Come on, I'm taking you to a fun place! Let's get you changed first!"

Aurelia dragged Sophia to the dressing room without giving her a chance to refuse.

The stylist had already prepared casual clothes, not expecting them to be needed so soon.

With a loud bang, Aurelia practically knocked the door off its hinges.

They stared at each other in shock, the stylist dumbfounded.

"Get her changed into something casual. We're going to a bar!"

"What?"

"What?"

Both were stunned, even Isla, who usually showed little expression, was taken aback.

She glanced at Sophia's abdomen, worried about what chaos might ensue if they went out.

Sophia's mouth twitched as she quickly waved her hands, backing away.

"No, no, it's getting late. How about we all just go home? I'm feeling a bit tired."

She turned to leave, not wanting to risk having her dress taken off and being dragged elsewhere.

"No way! We rarely get together, and I have meetings and studies to attend tomorrow. We need to let loose tonight!"

Aurelia put her hand on Sophia's shoulder, pushing her toward the wardrobe, pulling the curtain closed.

Isla, sweating nervously, rushed over.

"Ms. Kingsley, it's too late tonight. Maybe another time?"

"No way! We're young, we should have fun. Hurry up and change, or I'll help you!"

Aurelia laughed, playfully reaching through the curtain.

Seeing her hands, Sophia immediately sped up, changing her clothes.

"I'll do it myself!"

"Haha! That's the spirit. It's only nine o'clock. Tonight, we're not going home until we're drunk!"

This Aurelia...

"Ms. Kingsley, Ms. Brown can't drink."

"No problem, I already ordered juice for you and ten male models! Sophia, you should count yourself lucky to have a friend like me!"
