CHAPTER 157 LUNA’S WEDDING/CORONATION NIGHT

“I’m glad you are, Selena.” He reached for a bow, took some milk, and began pouring it over her body. Selena enjoyed how warm it was. Titus poured clean water over her head and body, giving her a final rinse before wrapping her in a robe. He reached for her hand and helped her get out of the bathtub. “I have prepared a special gown for you to wear.”

Selena turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I didn’t even consider a dress for tonight. How could I avoid thinking about it? It is also supposed to be the day when an Alpha and his Luna are united for eternity.”

“Don’t be worried, my love. I took care of everything. Tonight, I will dress you up because you deserve it.” He took her hand and led her out of the restroom. Titus came to a stop in front of the closed door. That room had been used for the last two years, but he had it cleaned every day.

Selena could see his hesitancy in his expression. “Are you alright?”

“Yes. I am.” Titus breathed deeply before finally opening the door. As he walked into the warm room, flashes flashed through his mind.

“Wow. This is stunning; I had no idea you had such a room like this.”

“This is the late Luna’s room. It is one of the bigger rooms surrounding her. Come.” Selena noticed portraits on the walls as she walked towards the hall.

“She is beautiful. She looks like a celestial being. Poise and perfection.”

“She was the most beautiful woman I have ever known. I used to wonder how my father managed to win a woman’s heart like that. “She was my best friend until...” He paused.

“What happened?”

Titus shifted his gaze to Selena. “We can’t talk about that tonight. This is something we will do for the rest of our lives, but not tonight. Tonight is all about YOU.” He approached the next door and flung it open. Selena could now see the bedroom, and it was exactly as she had imagined. Perfect. “From now on, this will be our bedroom.”

“I absolutely love it.” Selena smiled at him as she walked inside. Selena looked around as she approached the bed. The room was so large that she never imagined it would be in such a grand mansion. Selena sat on the bed, unable to keep her smile.

Titus went into the closet and pulled out a lovely white gown. As he approached her with it, he stated, “This belongs to my mother. She wore it the night of her coronation. You should wear it too.”

“No,” Selena said, shaking her head.

“Why not?”

“Because it’s for your mom, and it should remain that way. Don’t you think it would be impolite if I appeared in front of the entire pack in that?”

Titus chuckled. “The former Luna had planned to give it to the future Luna. My wife, Selena, if she was still alive, she would have adored you. She would have loved you just as much as I do and would have dressed you herself. You are a perfect match for this gown. Come.” He took her hand in his and helped her stand.

Titus removed her robe. He flipped Selena over to check herself in the mirror. She stared at her naked body while Titus assisted her into the white gown. Selena could only see a gorgeous redhead in a white gown as he zipped it up. “I look beautiful.” She laughed elegantly.

“You are beautiful.” He led her to a smaller mirror and sat her down. She had no idea Titus was so good at this. She saw him combing her hair to the back and applying makeup.

“You are incredible at this. Where did you all learn this from?” Selena inquired, her eyes fixed on him through the mirror.

“My mother used to do this when I was a child. Her she-wolf maids, known as the Omega, were supposed to take care of her, but she occasionally breaks the rules. She enjoys her freedom and is very comparable to you, Selena. She dislikes being tamed. She would try to avoid her maids and instead take me to her room for some fun. She had fun making herself look beautiful. She gave me free classes, but it was more important to me to spend time with my mother, and I understand her feelings. She did not have a female child, so I understood and enjoyed spending time with her. I had no idea it would come in handy.”

“You did an excellent job, Alpha.” Selena examined herself in the mirror once more. “I look perfect. You’re great at this. I have never liked makeup, but I might as well let you put it on my face all the time.” She regarded her low-curly hair, which Titus had styled. He helped her to her feet before returning his gaze to her.

“Luna, you are perfect.” Titus said

“You should get dressed.” Selena said with a smile. “It is time.” She waited until he was finished dressing in his own outfit, which took about ten minutes. They held hands as they walked out of the chamber. As they got closer to the front door, they heard a goat’s horn sound. Selena smiled as they watched the door open. They both stepped outside, where they noticed the pack waiting for them with a smile. “All hail to the Alpha and Luna! Hail!” The chairman of the council stated.

“All hail to Alpha and Luna! Hail.” The pack responded immediately.

Titus and Selena moved to the front of to the altar.

Selena smiled warmly as she stared into the fire. When she heard gasps from the pack, she looked up to the sky. The moon was shining directly at her.

“It appears that the moon goddess has accepted you, my beloved. She has always done this.” Titus whispered to her.

“Now. We gather as a group to bless these beautiful couples. Alpha and Luna.” The council chairman cast a glance at Titus. “Please go ahead and place the flower crown on her head.”

Titus took the crown and put it on Selena’s head. It was a beautiful night, and he never imagined the entire pack would accept Selena without a fight. Titus recalled his conversation with Tyler that afternoon, after he had made love with Selena. Tyler was mind-linked to come over for a chat. Titus had left Selena asleep to meet Tyler outside the house.

“I needed to speak with you about something. It is critical, and I need your assistance.” Titus had spoken.

“So, what is it?” Tyler had a question.

“I intended to marry Selena tonight.”

“Are you crazy?” Tyler yelled outright. He certainly was not expecting it.

“I am still the Alpha.” Titus explained. He sat down and cleared his throat. “Hear me out. I love Selena, and she loves me, so what is the problem?”

“She is still 20 years old. She has a human life to live and school to go to. That is the problem.”

“Oh, so you think I didn’t think of this at all?”

“No, I don’t think you did.” Tyler said.

“Yes, I did, and Selena is ready to give it up to become my Luna.”

Tyler took a deep breath. “Is that what you want? Is this what you think she wants? Don’t you think this is happening too quickly?”

“Tyler. You are my best friend, and I would appreciate it if you could help me right now. When she said she was quitting school, I tried to persuade her to stay here and perform her duties as Luna. But you already know Selena is obstinate. I don’t want her to abandon me again, so I simply give in to her requests. She is 20, legal, and knows what she is doing. Who will defend her if I don’t?”

Tyler cast a long look at him. He makes a valid point. Selena is a stubborn individual. “Don’t hurt her, Titus. I could hate you for that.”

“I love her, and I promise I will never hurt her.”

“Then I will prepare for her coronation. I will rally the pack’s support and invite them to your wedding/coronation.”

Titus turned around to see Tyler. He slowly nodded to his friend and mouthed. “Thank you so much.”

Tyler nodded while watching his friend’s wedding under the moonlight.

“Take this bowl of clean water and feed it to him,” the council’s head instructed. Selena reached for the bow and gave Titus some water. He did exactly the same thing to Selena. “You may now kiss your Luna.”

Titus drew Selena closer, and she smiled. He then moved in for a kiss. The two of them didn’t break away until they heard low groans from the rest of the pack. Titus couldn’t stop himself from laughing when he broke away. He and Selena were so into it that they forgot the ceremony was still going on.

The council’s leader took out a rope and tied them together, saying. “Remember, tonight is a holy night, and neither of you should come into contact with blood. If it does, I am afraid bad luck will enter your home, as well as the rest of the pack.”

“Yes. We understand.” Titus and Selena spoke in unison.

“Congratulations on introducing Luna to us, Alpha Titus.” The council’s leader said as he released them from the rope.

“Congratulations on introducing Luna to us, Alpha Titus.” The entire pack responded.
