Chapter 220: I Belonged Where They Were

Logan

After drinking with Sophie and having a surprisingly pleasant conversation, I went back to the room and walked to the balcony. The rain was heavy now, so she turned to look at me. I grabbed the back of her head and kissed her and wrapped my other arm around her waist, pulling her imposingly closer as I devoured her mouth.

“You are everything to me.” I said against her lips, picking her up and sitting her down on the railing.

“I will fall.”

“From my arms? Never.” I cupped her face, kissing her deeply.

I sneaked one hand under her pretty little nightie and found her panties. I pushed them aside, putting a finger inside her already wet pussy. She gasped into my mouth, her body straining as I pumped my finger in and out, hooking it so that she gave me a pretty little whimper. I kissed her neck, creating marks, something which made her pussy tighten. She grabbed my shoulders, little sound leaving her mouth continuously. I flicked my thumb over her clit over and over till her legs shook and she cum hard on my finger. I rubbed her through her orgasm, and then a little more till I was begging.

I put her back on the ground, she looked at me and the rain had gotten lighter. She got on the tip of her toes and put her hands on my shoulder and kissed me. A sweet gentle kiss, a  kiss I knew I would play in my mind till I was sick of it. Then she pulled back.

“You are everything to me, both of you.” She whispered.

____________
Jessica POV

I watched as Zara played the piano. Apparently, Angelo had been teaching her and she had just started out. She was determined to learn more. Nova was cooking in the kitchen with Adriano. It was fun to watch an old man trying to calm himself down as a teenage girl cursed everything in sight. I walked out of the burnt room, not sure why exactly it had not been repaired. I walked to where I knew Sophie studio was and knocked lightly on the door. Monica opened the door.

“Hey, Jessica. Come in.” she said.

I walked into the room, noticing Sophie standing in front of a large canvas, wiping her brushes. Monica stepped aside so that I could properly.

“Hey,” I muttered.

The studio was beautiful with finished and half finished canvases lining the walls. There were a few clothes scattered around, brushes, paints and everything. The walls were painted, the right had a pharaoh paint and the left had flowers painted on it in a way which reminds me of renaissance paintings and the walls right in front of me were all windows. Windows which had been painted too so the sunlight that would come into the room was colorful with a billion colors.

“Can I stay in this studio forever?” Shr grinned.

“Of course. This is Jane Ford.” She monotoned to a woman sitting on a chair with a file in her hands.

The woman looked up as if startled, she was beautiful with her curly hair and paper skin. Her eyes looked at me through the clear barrier of her glasses. She was dressed in a full body covering green overall.

“She is my new assistant, Jane. This is my step-sister, Jessica Romero.”

She stood up, she was taller than me, she shook my hand, grinning in a sort of embarrassed way.

“It is so nice to meet you, Miss Romero.”

“And you too, Miss. Ford. You can call me, Jessica.”

“Jane,” she smiled, dropping my hand. Monica picked up a mixing tray.

“Where are my brushes?” She asked.

“In the drawer, mother.” Sophie replied, walking a few steps away from the canvas and looking at it thoroughly.

Was I envious of her ability to do magic with her hands? Yes, I had always been but I had seen her grow too. She had not always been this good, she had put in the work, a lot of it. Now, she is a world famous artist and fashion designer. I sat down on a couch, picking up a book nearby, the metamorphosis.

“Have you got it ready yet?” Monica asked and I shook my head.

“No, but I do own the book.” I replied.

“It is remarkable.” Sophie said, her brush working on the canvas.

“Have you read his love letters? Those are truly remarkable.” I muttered.

“Who's love letters?” Adriano entered the studio with a tray in his hands, followed by his cousin who looked a lot like Angelo but with weaker features. Adriano sat the tray down on the table and l looked at the brownies on it. Zara ran into the room.

“Brownies!” She squealed but Adriano grabbed her.

“Wash your fifty hands first.” She sighed.

“You are mean, he is being mean, Sophy.”

Sophie chuckled, her brush again working on the canvas and I could not tell what exactly she was making.

“Wash your hands, Zara. You can eat as much as you want after that.” She told her. Zara huffed and walked out of the studio.

“Everyone is mean here.”

“I looked out of the window, the couch I was on was pasted to it. The world seemed so colorful from here, the window had random patterns made on them with different colors. I had once tried glass painting when I was in high school, I had painted one window at our house after that. Something my father lost his shit over. I set my head against the backrest and closed my eyes.

“Are you sleeping?” I heard Jane ask, I looked at the new assistant and shook my head.

“No, not really.” She smiled at me.

“You are beautiful.” she told me.

“Thank you, you are too and I adore your hair.”

“I love your tattoo, it is grey and meaningful.”

There was silence in the studio when she said that. Everyone had looked at the tattoo but no one had mentioned anything about it, they were not being awkward, they just didn't know how fragile I was about what had happened. But I didn't feel fragile anymore.

“Yes,” I replied to her.

“It is meaningful.”

She pulled the sleeve of her overalls up, my eyes widened at the tattoo there. It was a medus, made in a different way but it was her and she smiled at me.

“But not as beautiful as yours. It is also meaningful, I hope.”

I moved closer to her, there were scars on her arms, visible only when one was close.

“It is beautiful.” I took her hand in mine, squeezing once.

“And as powerful.”

There was something about being at the Rizzos’ mansion which felt like j was continuously intruding. They were so much in love with each other and it made me smile. Theirs was the love people could write about and sing about. The feeling of being an intruder was only silenced when Callan and Logan were there. Where they were, I belonged.

It was late at night when I heard Angelo playing the piano. I was laying in the bed with Callan, reading a book with him. Logan was sitting nearby, reading another book and it was lightly raining outside again. The piano with the rain, a good novel and both of them felt like I was in one of my scenarios which I used to create in my head late at night years ago. Back when I still dreamed. There were never two men in those, but I wouldn't change a thing about what was happening.
