137. Forcefully entering the borders
Chapter 137

"Don't you dare run inside Maliya, just quietly come to the living room…quietly." Her mom's harsh voice echoed in the dark and she cursed terribly. She bit her lips and obeyed without any argument.

The moment she stepped into the living room, the lights flickered and the rays splashed on her red hair and blue eyes. She looked like a thief being caught in her crimes and she groaned Inwardly when the disappointed face of her father came Into view.

"No lies Maliya, where are you coming from?" Her father asked her stoutly, no smiles, no hugs and not even a time for his usual chit chats. His daughter left the White Falls Village and came back very late which had never happened in history. They waited and waited and were almost tempted to leave the borders which was forbidden when they felt her presence.

They demanded an explanation and nothing would stop them from not getting it.

"Maliya??" Her father called out again and she gulped, hard feeling bad that she had to lie to her father for the very first time in her life.

"I went outside to get some fruit for Didi but I got lost in the woods." Her lips shook in fear, there was no way she would tell them about the Lycans or her entrance plaque would be banished. They had a bad history with the Wolves and Lycans but she was very fond of them, sneaking out and making friends until she settled for Viola and a little more exception was made for her because of Melissa who stayed in Green pack but was a witch. She used that as an excuse to visit all the time but her parents weren't aware of other forbidden places she had stepped her feet Into talk more of bringing a Lycan here, she would be skinned alive.

"Didi has a lot of fruit preference here Maliya, why take such risks? Why leave the borders till the sun dips and disappears when you know how dangerous it is.
We had to join our plaque to cover you or the witch Queen would have thought an Intruder entered."

"I'm sorry mum, I saw it on the way as it was really delicious. It won't happen again." She was really worried despite her lies, she loved her parents to infinity and making them worry over her was something she did like, she would make sure to avoid this next time and push aside her fear and selfish instincts.

" It's okay Liya, I totally understand how much you love Didi but don't let her get worried when you decide not to show up." Her father told her and she smiled, twisting the hem of her crochet blouse tightly.

"Thanks Dad, I'll go to sleep now." She told them but they exchanged nervous glances among themselves and she raised her brows in a questioning manner.

Her father looked hesitant but her mother nudged him to go ahead as she would hear about the news, sooner or later

"What is it Dad?" She couldn't help but feed her curiosity, her parents were acting weird, her mother packed her red hair upwards as if it was disturbing her from listening and seeing and her father shifted uncomfortably on the chair and made knots twist in her stomach.

"Liya.. "he drawled nervously and her heart began to hammer in her chest.
She hoped it was not the school again or the general work meeting that required her display of powers ,she might be a witch but her powers are second to zero when it comes to her. There were people far better than her and she didn't care, all she loved was exploring and not bragging or showcasing.
She hated the school and dropped out because of the level of biases, corruption and high sex libido among her witch teachers in both female and male. It was disgusting, she was always looked down upon and mocked
She couldn't do this, she couldn't do that but that wasn't her business as long as she had her crystal ball, she was okay.

"Dad??" She asked again and he smiled, a fake one that didn't reach his cheeks which made her more nervous.

"The Queen's son has chosen you as his bride Liya, you are getting married to Lorenzo."

Her eyes changed from blue to red and her skin became pale at once.

"What?" She gasped and shook her head.
"Maliya, listen.."

"No Dad, I'm not getting married to anyone. Why would that even happen? I'm not even in the lineage of the royal ones, I'm the weakest and the lowest!"

"You're not low!" His father bellowed at her and she cowered, this would be the first time her father would raise her voice at her.

"I don't care Dad, I won't just wake up one morning to marry the Queen's son out of the blue. I'm not prepared for this."

"You don't have to prepare for anything Maliya, you're practically useless in this Village other than sneaking out!" Her mum chirped in and she gasped, her eyes burning rapidly in tears.

"You're hundred years old Liya, I know you're still young but it's better to be a woman now, Lorenzo is five hundred years old too and he likes you. You need to take up responsibilities, and change our status too."

Shock and disbelief washes her face as she stared at her parents like strangers, was this how they regarded her?

"No Maliya, don't think that way. I love you, that's why I'm doing this, we need to keep you safe from danger, your powers are not reliable but Lorenzo would protect you under the shade of the queen's powers."

Her father told her remorsefully and she shook her head , Shifting away from them as hot tears spilled down her delicate face.

"It won't happen, I'm not marrying Lorenzo. I'll go to school, join community work but not marry Lorenzo!" She spat out with spite and turned her back to leave.

"Maliya!" Her mother yelled but she was fast enough to leave, reaching to her door knob to twist it open when a sharp pain overwhelmed her and she froze.

Someone has forcefully entered the borders of white falls village, her breathing became erratic as raw fear took over her.

And this person is no other than the one she gave her bracelet to.
