134. His bloodied body
Chapter 134
Cypher got up with a searing headache that almost blinded him, he wonder why he didn't have a good sleep and got up yawning in distress and going to workout in the gym. His room looked empty and sudden fatigue took over when he recalled last night, his mouth instantly became bitter and he worked out more vigorously than before, drenching in sweat and going to take a shower.
By the time he was done, three guards were on standby for the type of outfit to wear and irritation itched the bridge of his throat, the color of his outfit was too bright and the guards looked too ugly and stiff to touch a hair in his skin.
"Why the fuck are you all here when I have a Beta? Call Zane for me and leave!" He ordered combing his hair and facing his reflection on the mirror.
"I apologize Alpha but the Beta asked us to make sure we are here to serve you while he is trying and looking for your brother." He replied and the comb fell off from Cypher's hands, not believing his ears right now. He remembered seeing Zane in his room last night but he didn't recall what transpired until these men made a mental note to slap him back to his memory where he practically yelled at him to leave and Grayson was going to take over his authority.
He gritted his teeth and looked at the men with sudden disdain as if they were the cause of Zane's absence.
"Just go…drop that shit and leave Immediately!"
He ordered and they obeyed, his heart was suddenly in turmoil.
How on earth did he even talk to Zane to look for Gareth alone?
"You were so mad at our mate and decided to transfer aggression." His wolf surfaced and he groaned Inwardly.
"He should know that I didn't mean those words, how on earth is he even going to use a day to do that? What is even thinking?"
'I think both of you have problems, sort it out.'
He hissed in frustration and went out only to have the maids usher him to the dining table where his meals were displayed from the beginning to the end alone and empty.
"I don't know which one was your favorite Alpha, Zane asked me to prepare almost everything." The Chef said and bowed and he groaned.
He didn't like this feeling, why did it suddenly feel empty? As if he used his hands and authority to push away the most important people in his life, just when he was about to turn away, Heaven strode in and her eyes glinted at the array of food before her.
"Morning Cypher, why are you standing when you should eat something?" She smiled and pushed a chair forward to herself to sit, took a fork and dug on the delicious meal before her.
She looked better than before and he was glad, the heaviness of his heart suddenly fading away and he joined her.
"It's good to see you smile, Heaven." He told her, pushing the pasta to her and eyes scanned the room
"Where's Kaylan?" She asked and took a gulp of the juice before placing the cup down.
He suddenly became nervous and kept quiet, he wasn't ready to tell her anything about their argument. The necklace and her son, not when she's looking this gleeful and lying to Heaven, was useless.
"Where's Kaylan?" He returned the question to the maids who seemed so confused as well.
"I'll call her right away Alpha." She replied and he rolled his tongue in his lips
He was still mad but he missed her scent and presence so crazily that all he wished to do was avoid her or he might find himself betraying his principles of anger and claw at her lips again.
The moment the maids left, Cypher started a conversation with Heaven.
"Sebastian would love to see you, Heaven, I understand what happened but I think you should talk to him."
She nodded and scooped the soup while chewing the fish. "I know, but I don't want to because he's the sole reason for our son's disappearance."
"I think you're –"
"No Cypher, don't worry about Sebastian. He would take care of his mess. What you should worry about is your brother and your mate's missing necklace!"
Cypher gulped the water painfully in his throat, and wondered what was so special about her son.
"Besides, you need to save fast because
your people are planning on dethroning you even though I know it's impossible."
She added and he frowned deeply.
"What??"
"Yes, I heard it and except they were lying, you won't host any meeting today."
Heavy footsteps approached and Cypher raised his head up to see Grayson coming in with Max. The least person he was expecting to see this morning.
"Sorry to intrude Alpha but you have a line of stubborn elders and Clan who wish to see you. They are in the general royal room." Grayson told him and he nodded, totally unbothered by that but by Max's presence who greeted Heaven warmly and sat down.
"Cypher…." He called the Alpha who sent glares to him.
"Why are you here Max, I have the King of Dalim in my care and you've done enough already. Or are you here to awaken my powers again?" He asked, still bittered at his actions during the war.
"I'm sorry to intrude on your peaceful meal Cypher but something dreadful happened last night." His tone was serious and Cypher brows raised in curiosity, he knew Max to be a very lazy being so showing up at his pack so early was strange.
"It's Ashton." He remarked and swallowed as if he didn't want to relieve the Incident.
"I saw his dead, bloodied body, right before the entrance of my mansion."
He dropped the bombshell and Cypher's but his lips in anger, that was no one but Gareth's work.
