"Don't do this, please let's go home. I'll make sure your father won't take you to that dreadful place you want to go to."

The boy raised his brows in amusement and looked at his uncle who rolled his eyes at the audacity of Kaylan.

" Who the fuck are you?"

Ethan growled at the pretty lady squatting before his nephew and acted as if he didn't exist which pissed him off.

How on earth did she ever find them, was she following them? What sort of distraction is this at this time?

Kaylan ignored him and focused on Leo who had a very mischievous smile at her.

"I heard you had a tough time during the war Kaylan, shouldn't you be resting?"

"Don't do this, sweetheart. Where are you going? Don't you know your mum would be worried?"

She asked him and patted his hair smoothly, touching him freely again, always daring as ever but this time around, he smiled.

"I'll go to the City where the Humans dwell and school there instead. Uncle Ethan offered to help and I prefer there. Everything I've always wished to see the world over there too, the computers, the companies with cool security systems would be available Kaylan. Don't worry, I'll come back when I'm done settling.".
He said smoothly and maturely, smiling as if he was going on an adventure and she gritted her teeth.

"You can't stay there! You need to learn how to control your powers! You need to stay here Leo. I'll help you."

She growled and he twitched his lips, shaking his head as if not a spec of her emotions was affecting him.

"I'm going. And nothing would change that. My mama would be safe and I won't have to burn anything or anything or anyone because I will be locking my powers with this." Leo smiled and showed her a bracelet on his wrists proudly which made Kaylan as confused as ever.

"That's enough Venom! I never pictured you to be talkative! " Ethan growled and stood before the little boy, blocking Kaylan.

"Now who the hell are you?"
Kaylan shook, her anger boiling like an inferno as she stared at the pretty man who looked like a prince to him.

"Noo!! What are you doing to him?" Kaylan yelled in disgust.

"What are you doing to an innocent boy that's trying to find his way!"

"He wasn't lost, so stop interfering and go back to where you came from."
Ethan retorted and released a huff.

"He needs help, what are you doing to him? Did you see what he did recently? How can you send him off to a place where those creatures are weak and powerless?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO LEO!!" Kaylan screamed and Ethan's eye turned to Crimson, feeling challenged and ready to snap her neck when Cypher's men emerged and surrounded him.

"Don't touch her uncle, she's not wicked at all so please…let her be."

Leo's words shook Ethan and his hand became weak. How can his nephew defend someone? Fuck! Venom doesn't say a word to a fucking soul except him as it took months to break him to be able to look at him in the eyes to say something
Looking at the guards surrounded, he squinted his brows at the familiarity of the men and facepalmed himself.

"You're Cypher's betrothed?" He was surprised.
"You're the reason, I went through shit to get down the psychopath that inflicted the Altar Blood Poison on you?"

Kaylan frowned and calmed down a bit, she didn't know him but mentioning that could only mean that Cypher knew him.

"Look, Cypher's beloved, there's nothing anyone can do about this, and trust me I won't kill my nephew. I love him too much but his father is so naive, protective of his wife and Venom that he doesn't know what he's doing. He's going there and believe me, it's a perfect plan."

"But how??" Her voice cracked.

"You will find out soon, I can't tell you now so let him go before his father finds him."

Kaylan turned to Leo.

"I want this so don't worry Kaylan, I'll come back and burn any bitch who tries to hurt you again."
Kaylan didn't know when she cried hard and bitterly, she felt the sudden hope that he was going to be fine but her heart twisted in pain at the uncertainty.

"If anything goes wrong, come back home. Use this necklace and find your way home please…"
She told him and removed the necklace on her neck which made the men go wide-eyed in shock, even Ethan was against it as that was the only source of her powers.

"Just know that you're not a killer, or a murderer. What happened to your siblings wasn't your fault and sooner or later, you will realise that. I love you sincerely Leo….you captured my existence.." She chuckled and hugged him again and the boy just stood there with a mixed feeling, unsure of why she was giving him something special and crying for him. He didn't hug her back but stared at her like a lifeless being till he left, taking a last glance at her before disappearing Into the woods.

"Thank you for believing me," Ethan smirked but Kaylan turned serious.

"I hate you!" She spat out which shocked him.
"I agreed to this because he eagerly wanted to go and not because I believed in you. You coerced him into that shit and you better go and meet your brother because I don't know why he suddenly needed Cypher! He needed him urgently and–"

Kaylan stopped as he watched Ethan clutch his chest as if in pain, his veins were visible lines on his forehead head as if he was struggling with something and Kaylan swallowed.

"Are you okay?"

Ethan gasped and shook his head in horror.

"Shit! My people are in trouble!!" He exclaimed and ran out from their midst pushing the guards away and Kaylan knew that more problems had tripled.
