Chapter 14
**Winter**
I took a deep breath. I had gotten up extra early for this. It has been a couple of days since I started school. Not much has happened since the first day. I had barely seen any of the guys, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t up to anything. They could be plotting just like me. Or are getting used to their classes for the new semester? I only have that one class with Cyrus. Otherwise, I have no other classes with them. It makes me happy to know I won’t have to see them after everything goes down. Maybe they will be the ones who have to move away this time. I doubt it though. They had way too much here. They had too much riding on them staying here.
I looked at my phone. It flashed seven a.m. just when the guys would be working out. Perfect timing to get them. They would be too busy working out to notice and no one would be in the locker room. Anyone who came here to work out would already be in there. I hoped no one stuck around in the locker room or this was going to be awkward. I was sure they wouldn’t. I had scoped out this place the last two days to see what happened. They all came in at the same time and all left at the same time. It was weird how it worked like that, but I didn’t question it. It was perfect for my plan of going to the locker room.
I headed inside once I was sure everyone was out of it. I could hear a couple of people still in the locker room, but their footsteps eventually cued me in that they were gone. I walked into the locker room, and crotched down as I moved about the lockers to theirs. It wasn’t hard to find theirs. I could see the jersey number through the holes in the lockers. They might all be from a different sports team, but they all hung their jersey up in honor of it. I walked towards the lockers, taking my pilers as I broke the locks on all of them.
I looked around the locker room as I finished the last lock. The locker room was still quiet. It was almost eerie how quiet it was. I could only hear the faint noise of the gym inside.
I began to open the lockers, pulling out a trash bag to get their clothes. I put their clothes in the trash bag one by one. Every single thing that even looked like clothing went into the trash bag. Even their jerseys. I couldn’t risk them just putting this on. I did my best not to gag though. Some of their things really smelled especially in Cyrus’ locker. I thought I was going to vomit at the stench.
I was just finishing up Zander’s when I felt someone from behind me grab and pull me away. I opened my mouth to scream, but they quickly covered my mouth.
“Well, well, look what we have here. I see you haven’t been a good girl.” He said as his hands reached for my trash bag. “What do you have in here? It wouldn’t be our stuff would it.” He asked.
Fuck, how could I have been so stupid? Of course, Saint would go for his smoke break. I hadn’t even thought of it so I never checked or accounted for it. I thought maybe he would have kicked that habit, but of course, I could smell it on his breath as he moved to my ear.
“Nothing to say? Huh? What exactly were you planning on doing with our stuff?” He asked me in my ear holding me really close.
“Nothing. I was going to wash them,” I said trying to sound calm. I didn’t want to give myself away. “My mother wanted me to grab Zander’s clothes. Zander has a big game this weekend.”
“So you thought you would grab all of ours? How nice. But, dear me, why did you need to break into our lockers? Hm? Why couldn’t you just tell us what you were doing? I am sure we would have loved to give you our clothes.”
“I wanted to surprise you. I couldn’t do that if I told you,” I lied through my teeth. I could feel my heart racing against my chest. I hoped he could hear the loud beat of my heart.
“I think you are a liar like you always have been. I just never thought you would try something so foolish. What would you have done if you got away with this?” He asked with an eyebrow raised as he looked at me. He waited a bit for me to answer before laughing. “You have nothing to say, do you? Nothing to say for yourself.” he tsked softly. He took me by my hips and spun me around to face him. His hazel eyes drilled into mine. He backed me straight into the lockers behind me. What was I thinking? I didn’t possibly think I could do anything to fight them.
“Please, I will give the back. You don’t have to worry.”
“You are right, I don’t have to worry. You will learn your lesson when you mess with us. I will go nicely though and won’t get the other guys.”
I wasn’t sure if this was a blessing or a curse. I wouldn’t have to deal with the other guys, but Saint scared me. Unlike his name, he was no Saint. He was one of the meanest in the crew. I always wondered if it was his tougher upbringing that caused him to act more aggressively, but I never really studied his behavior like that.
“What are you going to do to me?” I asked looking up at him.
“What do you think I am going to do to you? I am going to teach you a lesson, you won’t forget.”
