Chapter 260 Chapter 259
Rayena had a guard unlock the door to Xenon's compartment, and the moment she stepped in, he gave a happy growl, rushing toward her and wrapping his paws around her in a hug. She dropped the bag she was holding, stretching out her hands as he barreled into it, pushing her back with his weight. She giggled, ruffling his fur as he pulled her into the room.
"Hey there yourself! Someone seems happy to see me." She commented, and he gave a low groan, brushing his snout against her cheeks.
"Did you miss me?" She asked as he pulled away, leading her eagerly to the center of the room. He responded with a purr, eyes glistening with excitement.
"I missed you too, even if I was only away for a few hours." She said, pressing a kiss on the top of his head. Xenon tried to reciprocate, attacking her forehead with his snout. Rayena roared her head back in laughter. Then, he dipped lower, pressing his nose against the mark on her neck. She bit back a moan, sensations storming through her from the act.
A rumble built in his throat, and he proceeded to tackle her to the ground, getting on top of her and licking her all over. Sporadic giggles burst from Rayena's throat, yet she made no attempt to get him off. When he bumped his lower body against her abdomen, she stiffened, her eyes widening.
"You're going to be having your rut soon." She murmured, seeing his member had started to grow engorged, a particular wildness in his eyes. It lowered itself, resting its head on her chest, and she resumed stroking.
Though a part of her was excited about his rut, she was also incredibly nervous. They were really intense, and without his consciousness, he usually had no idea when he was hurting her.
"It's okay... I'm here, and I'll help you with it. In the meantime, I brought some snacks – why don't we have that? I have something to tell you." The wolf's ear perked with interest, and he rose from her, giving her a chance to retrieve the bag she had put away.
Pulling out pieces of dried jerky, she handed it to him, and he immediately snatched it from her hands, immediately wrestling with it, low grunts spilling from his lips as he chewed on it. Rayena watched him for a moment, then settled beside him, laying her back against his torso while he curled around her, his entire attention on the beef jerky he was eating.
She let out a sigh and began speaking...

It was the night of the full moon, and Soraya had long begun to feel the effects of it. She was yet to go and meet Morvan, however, and she wondered why she was stalling. She could guess why.
Since that awkward conversation with him, he'd been scarce to find. It made her wonder if he was intentionally avoiding her. The longer she stayed in this room, the worse her symptoms would get. Eventually, she rose to her feet, wrapped a robe around the thin dress she was wearing, and quickly made her way to Morvan's room.
Reaching his door, she hesitated for a moment, then reached her hand to knock. The door opened before she could pull her hand away. Soraya froze as her gaze met Morvan's.
Unlike the last time, when he had been flustered as he arrived in the room, he was more put together. His blonde hair had been brushed back, giving him a more clean-cut look. She itched to run her fingers across that chiseled jaw, press her lips against it. His blue eyes, which never failed to captivate her, looked even more striking this evening.
"H... Hi..." She stammered, feeling her cheeks heat up.
"Hello." He murmured, his deep, velvety voice sending shivers down her spine. "I came, as you asked me to." She said, her voice barely above a whisper. Something flickered in his eyes, but he blinked, and it was gone.
He pulled the door even wider, gesturing for her to come in. Soraya swallowed the saliva in her mouth and stepped into the room. The air wasn't cold at all, but she still wrapped her hands around herself, the heat beneath her skin flaring to an uncomfortable inferno.
Morvan closed the door behind him. "Make yourself comfortable." He groaned, gesturing to the immaculately laid cot. Soraya nodded, then immediately sat down, her hands clasped in front of her.
Morvan walked towards the table, pouring something into a cup. "Would you like something to drink?" She glanced at him and instantly nodded. "Of course, thank you."
He gave a short nod and walked up to her, handing her a small mug. Without looking at the content, Soraya accepted the cup from him and put it against her lips, sipping its content. She gasped when she realized it was sweetened wine.
"It's delicious..." She murmured, and a corner of his lip quirked up, not quite forming a smile. "I'm glad you like it." He said, settling next to her.
Soraya tensed, the heat within her threatening to consume her entire being.
The clothes she had on suddenly became too much. She NEEDED to get them off. Morvan nodded at her discomfort and offered to help her get rid of her robe. She let him, loving the feel of his fingers against her hot skin. It was like cold water on a hot summer day.
"Thanks..." She breathed, her eyes trailing over him, need loosening her tongue. "Although I would appreciate it more if you were on top of me." He chuckled, but his eyes darkened, and Soraya could swear she saw the wheels turning in his head. She sunk her fingers into her thighs, tearing her gaze away from him.
"Why do you like taking your time?" She asked, unable to help herself. "Do you hate it?" He asked, his voice a soft murmur. Soraya reached to scratch her neck. "Not really. It's just a bit... disconcerting."
He smiled, leaning in even more till she could feel the heat of his breath. A needy moan lodged itself in her throat. He dragged his gaze over her body, slowly, so she could feel every caress, admiring the way she shuddered and blushed.
