Chapter 5
While Sam was doing an Internet search on the property everyone else started gotten the maps is that they would cameras, so they could go check out the property. Adam since ShaSha and Dylan to do a drive-by of the property and report back to them with what information they had. He got on Conner and Katie to see if they could get any more visions about Kenzie and the hunters. The Council started making a few phone calls to try to get some leads on what is going on with the local hunters. ShaSha and Dylan returned to the Café to give them a report of their drive-by of the motel.
“So, what did you find out?" asked Adam with hope in his eyes.
“Well, Adam there is somebody there. We could not tell if Kenzie was there, but it looks like they were getting ready to leave." Dylan said with worry in his voice.
“We need to hurry up and get there before they leave. They could have Kenzie and get ready to transport her to a new location and it will take us even longer to find her." ShaSha stated in a frantic voice.
Everyone got into three or four cars to take them towards the motel. While getting ready for battle to rescue Kenzie from the hunters. As Adam and the others showed up they were throwing Kenzie in the back of the van. Everyone jumped out of the cars and headed for the van and the people around. The fight begins with Adam charging right towards Brett and the others following right behind him. They manage to get everyone away from the van and Dusty the Wolf Councilman opens the back of the van doors and grabs Kenzie out. He takes her towards one of the cars that they all showed up in. Brett knows is he is getting outnumbered runs for one of the other cars jumps in and takes off. While the other hunters follow in one of the other cars to get away, so they can try again. Leaving everyone else behind.
“Did we get Kenzie out of the van?" Adam was shouting to anyone who would answer.
“Yes, Adam we got her out, the safe. She is in one of the cars waiting on you, but she is knocked out cold." Dusty let Adam know while patting him on the back.
Adam walks towards one of the cars, where Kenzie is out cold. He wants to make sure she is safe, once done he gets in and just holds her close. Everyone climbs into the cars and drivers back to Kenzie's house, so she can rest. They want to talk about how to let Kenzie know about her true family. That the ones that she grew up with were not her real family.
Once they have Kenzie back home, they laid her down to rest in her bed. While the rest of them set in the living room contemplating how they were going to tell Kenzie all the information they learned while she was being held captive. No one was sure how she was going to react to it. She has been through so much already that they didn’t want to overload her. After about an hour or so Kenzie woke up and wander into the living room. She was surprised at all the people that were in her house.
“Hello everyone. Thank you for coming to get me I really do appreciate it. Adam, I know it’s been hard on you and I am sorry for seeming to cause you so much trouble. I just want you to know that I love you." Kenzie said with tears in her eyes.
“Kenzie it was no problem coming to get you, I would do it all again if I had to. I am just glad that you are safe and sound. Also, glad that I got to you before they transported you out. I love you too and can’t live without you." Adam said as he grabbed her and pulled her close to him.
“Who are you people and why did you crash my wedding?" Kenzie asked with some confusion in her voice.
“Kenzie you might want to sit down for this. We have a lot of information to give you. It is going to be a lot to take in and hard to believe. This group of people is the Supernatural Council. Two of them are related to you and we will let them explain all of that." Haven said in a soothing voice.
“What do you mean two of them are related to me?" Asked Kenzie with some doubt.
“Hello Kenzie, it is nice to see you all grown-up. Please let me tell you everything before you interrupt me or ask any questions. I will explain everything to you, but if I can’t one of the others will be able too. My name is Scott Vandenberg and I am your grandfather who also happens to be a vampire. This gentleman here to my right is Dusty Wolfen he is a Wolf. He is also your grandfather. You were sent to be raised by another family because your parents were murdered. We never found out who did it, but we do have some ideas. They were murdered for power and we were afraid they would come after you next. Do you understand everything so far?"
“Hello Scott, it is nice to meet you. I find this a little hard to believe. And I am wondering about some things. I have all of the questions that need to be answered first. One does you have any proof of any of this? I find it hard that you would show up now when I had such a horrible childhood. And if all this you say is true then why can I not remember any of it? Where were all of you when I needed you? You show up when I am to be married and cause a distraction, so the hunters can grab me. That is what I think you are here for and you are trying to make me believe that we are related."
“I know you are upset and probably a little bit angry with us. What we are saying is true and yes, we have proof. You will need to travel to Italy to your homeland to see the proof. We did not expect to bring all of that with us not sure what we were walking into. But if you look into both of our eyes you will see your eyes are exactly like ours. Your eyes are deep greenish blue the mixture of our family’s green in your father's family of blue. Which are rare on both sides which is why we are of Royal blood." Scott tried to explain as easy as he could to her.
“You expect me to come with you to Italy just because you are the supernatural Council considering you may or may not be my grandfather. For one I have a business to run I cannot just leave it. My friends mean too much to me to leave behind. I also must redo my wedding. When do you think I will have the time to go to Italy if I believe any of this?" Kenzie shouted.
