Chapter 16 Strike Two
When they woke up in the morning, he didn’t let her go. All he wanted to do is hold her and kiss her and make sure she is really there and he is not dreaming. Then she needs to get something to eat. So he got up and fixed her something to eat and then she had to go check on the café. She knew that her online orders just fell behind, and she missed her job. It also scared them that the hunters would strike again too. He didn’t want her out of his sight at all for any reason and he was going with her no matter what.

He called to let them know that they would head to the café for a while. They all said they would be there to help get things caught back up and to make sure everyone is ok. So after they ate they went to the café to check out the place and to see how far behind they was and what they would have to do to make it up to the customers. She knew it would take time to get everything caught up again. When they arrived at the café, they noticed that someone rammed the office sacked. The kitchen was a mess like a tornado went through it. Kenzie cried, because she didn’t know what to do. Adam tried to common her but he was mad and wanted to make it right for her. She common down enough so she could call the police and make a report. She didn’t want to touch anything but yet she wanted to clean it up. Then the rest of the gang showed up to see what happened and couldn’t believe their eyes when they see the mess.

They all thought the hunters did it and that they were looking for something but didn’t know what they might look for. Kenzie goes to meet the police at the door and to let them know what has happened to the café. Since most of the police eat at her café, she knows all of them by name.

“Hey, Pete sorry to call so early but it looks like I have had trouble while I been away.”

“What’s seems to be the problem Kenzie.”

“Just come and look for yourself. It’s my office and the kitchen.”

So Pete follows Kenzie first to the office and then to the kitchen to see what happened to the place.

“Well Kenzie let’s make a report take pictures and see if I can get someone here to dust for prints. Do you know if your camera’s caught anyone in your office or not?”

“I don’t know if they did Peter I haven’t checked them. I wanted to wait for you guys to get here first.”

“Ok that’s good then lets checks them out and sees if we can find anything out then.”

When Pete saw what had happen to my office, it shocked him.

“I have to ask this Kenzie. Did pissed any of your employees off or anyone else? Do you know anyone that would want to do this to you?”

“I can’t think of anyone that would do this. Pete, you know I get along with everyone. The only ones I don’t be my family that has nothing to do with me.”

“Ok we need to check all aspects of this so don’t get mad but I have to talk to everyone that works for you. I will even do by your family to see if they may know anything.”

“Ok, I will get everyone here and let you talk to them ok.”

I walked out to see which ones were here already. I see that Adam, Sam, Jake, Trent, Dillion, ShaSha, Sammy, and Kat. There was no Haven and no Casey here at the café.

“Pete, I need to call two people that are not here.”

“Which ones are not here?”

“Heaven and Casey are not here.”

So I call Casey and tell him I need him to come to the café and talk to the police because of what happen to the café. He tells me he will be there in about ten minutes. Then I call Haven and I get no answer at all. I call her cell phone and I still get no answer. I call her mom and they tell me they haven’t heard from her at all.

“Peter I have to go get Haven she is not answering her phone and her parents haven’t talked to her yet today.”

“Okay just be careful and get back here quick.”

Then I go get Adam and tell him to go with me to get Haven.

“What’s wrong and why are we going to go get Haven?”

“I can’t get her on the phone and that her mom hasn’t heard from her. That we need to go to her house and see if we can find out why we can’t get her on the phone.”

So we left and headed to Haven’s house.  It only took about ten minutes to get to her house. When we get there, we see that Haven’s front door was kicked in and they tore apart the house and she was nowhere to be found. So I called Pete and told him he needs to get to Haven’s house right away. Then I found the note that had my name on it. They scared me to open it and I waited till I knew we could all could be together before I read it. So I hide the note in my back pocket before Pete showed up. I already knew who had her I really didn’t need to see the note, mostly.

Pete showed up about twenty minutes later. When he saw what happened to Haven’s house he was pissed and knew that the two things had to go hand in hand.

“Did you touch anything?”

“We walked through the whole place to see if we could find any sign of her. So I could have touched the walls or something like that while I was walking through to find Haven.”

Pete spoke up and asked me

“What the hell is going on Kenzie?”

“I do not understand.”

“Ok, then we need to put a missing person out for Haven and try to do more search around here. I will get people out here and get started. I want all of you and your employees to be on guard and make sure you call me right away happens or if you hear from her.”

“We will let you know if we hear anything else or else happens. Pete, we will head back and clean up the café.”

“I will look for you there later or call if I need anything else.”

Then they walked back to the care and took off.

We get back to the café and I let everyone know what happen at Haven’s and what Pete told me to tell them. Then I told everyone they could go home if they want to that I would stick around to clean up here. Sami, ShaSha, Dillion, Kat, Russell, Trent, Sam, Jake, and Adam stayed to help me clean up the place. Casey went home to go back to bed and said to call him if we need him.

“We may need to call Conner to see if she can help since she is supposed to be a physic.”

“Do we really know if she is a true physic?”

“No, but she is still our friend we can at least find out for sure. I mean things she has told us in the past have come true.”

“Ok let’s call her and have her meet us at my has in about an hour so we can finish up here.”

So Sami calls Conner and tells her we need to talk to her and that to meet us at Kenzie’s house in an hour. So we finished cleaning up the café and headed to my house.

We make it back to the house and I started a pot a coffee and made food for everyone to eat.

“Look I found something at Haven’s that I need to share with all of you. Do you all want to wait for Conner to get here or talk about it now?”

They all wanted to talk about it now and if need then we can tell Conner when she gets here.

“I found a letter when I was at Haven’s house today. They addressed it and I haven’t read it yet. I have a feeling that it is from the hunters and I think they have Haven.”

“Why didn’t you tell me that when we were there?” Adam asked.

“I’m sorry but Pete showed up just a little while later after I found the letter and didn’t have time to tell you. I also it would be easier to just tell everyone at the same time. I will read the letter out loud now.”

Kenzie we have Haven and we won’t hurt her as long as you do what we tell you. We want to let her go if you turn yourself over to us with none of the others coming with you. Then we will let her go if she leaves but we will keep her and turn her into one of us if you don’t come to us on your own. She is already somewhat a part of us we can make it the rest of the way quick. We will give you a week to come to us and not more than that. When we get you back, there will be no letting you go. I have big plans for you and can’t wait for you to join me, my sweet Kenzie. I look forward to seeing you soon.

“Well, what does everyone think of the letter?”

“You will go nowhere without me and that is that.” Adam said.

“Adam I have to go for Haven.”

“Who is to say they will let her go even if you turn yourself over to them, “ShaSha asked? 

“Let’s inform the police they have taken her and they want you. That way we will have more time to get her from them and be able to be safe.” Dillion said.

There came a knock on the door. Sam answered the door and looked at Conner. They both looked shocked as hell. Then Sam screams for Adam to come quick cause he is freaked that he found a mate without having a dream about her.

“What is all the screaming about and what is going on,” Adam asked.

“I found my mate without having a dream of her, “Sam said. 

“We will deal with this another time but now we need to figure out how to help Haven and Kenzie.” Adam said.
