Chapter 15 The Rescue
“Okay now let’s take you to the restroom now so you can get cleaned up and feel a lot of wells.”

“Thank you so much. I don’t want to get you into trouble with your boss.”

“He is not the main boss so I don’t care. He is the one heading up this mission but not the overall group. So you get a shower and I will find you something to wear and here is a toothbrush for your teeth.”

“Thank you again you are a nice guy and could do anything with yourself. I wish we would have met on better terms than this.”

“So do me.”

“Where do we go from here? We know where she is and we still haven’t come up with a solid plan to get her back yet.” Adam asked everyone.

“Sami, have you got a spell for the fog or anything you think will help?”

“Yes, I could find one and some other things that might help us. If I can get everything made by tonight, we can go after her tonight.”

Trent and Sami left to go get the things she needs to make the spells that will help save Kenzie. Sam and Jake got weapons ready for tonight to get Kenzie out of danger.

“I need to hold myself together I know we will get her out save,” Adam said to himself.

“Are you done in the bathroom yet?”

“Yes, I am. I need to finish my hair and teeth, then we can go. Thank you for asking instead of yelling.”

“I don’t see the point in yelling if it is just going to make things worse than ever.”

“That is a good way to look at things.”

“Why make things worse if there is another way to make things go smoother? That is a kind of how I look at it too. I know this is when you Kenzie. And I am sorry that I am only following orders and this is the only thing I ever have known.”

“You know they will come for me. My friends will come take care too much not to. I know in some ways it’s hard to understand because they are right my family. When my other family did not stand beside me. I had my friends to lean on. It can be hard. I know I see it all the time with you and this group of hunters. My father and mother do not believe I could do I’ll business. My two brothers and my sister was not there from either being they are quite older. My parents, I should be a veterinarian or the doctrine and even maybe a lawyer. I wanted to do something that amounts and enjoy doing and being with people. I learned to stop pleasing everybody else pleasing myself. And that’s exactly what I did. I think you could do the same thing for yourself. Find something you enjoy get a girlfriend to be happy. Is this really what you want to do?”

“This is the thing I’ve ever done since they take me in from the orphanage. It is the only thing I know sometimes it feels right and other times it feels so wrong to do this. I don’t think whole mystical creatures are evil. I think there are some just like in human beings there are good and they are evil ones. I think we need to learn how to tell them apart, they won’t listen. I wish I knew what they have planned for you because you’re human. You’re not a mystical creature yet. I’m not sure I know if I can help you are not.”

“I want your help. But do you think you can help without getting yourself in trouble?”

“That is just it no matter what I do I think I would be in trouble.”

“Then I will let my friends help me I do not want you getting into trouble for me. There have been enough people hurt over this and I am still not sure what this is. Just as long as you’re here to talk to and be nice and keep that Brett guy away from me I think I will be all right.”

“That I can do for you without getting in trouble.”

“That is all I ask from you, Alex.”

Alex waved bye and walked out the door.

“Well, it's noon and we still have a few hours before we can head to go save Kenzie from the hunters. I think we need to make sure everyone know what they are doing and where we are all going to beat when we are at the cabin.”

Adam brings out the maps and they all pinpoint where they are all going to beat around the cabin so when Russell lets them know where she is inside the cabin. Then they will figure out which will be the safe way to get Kenzie out.

“Sam, do you think we might talk to the one hunter that Kat was telling us about?” “I don’t know and where is Kat?”

“She will be here in an hour she said she had a lead and wanted to check something out so we were ready for tonight.” Said Haven.

“What do you think Haven do you think we can trust her or not?”

“I am not sure yet at this point I guess it is one of those things it is a wait and see a game.”

“Yeah, I agree but right now I could do without the game. I know Adam I truly know.”

“Do you have her back in the room yet Alex?”

“No, sire  she almost did in the bathroom and then I will put her back in the room.”

“Good, I want her tied back up and then I want you to go make sure that the cameras are still up and running right.”

“Yes, sir I will get right on that for you.”

“Kenzie you will have to hurry Brett is having a cow you are taking so long. Plus, he gave me another job I have to go do right now.”

“Ok let’s go tie me to the chair so you can go do that job and get Brett of your ass.”

“Ian will be an on the watch of you while I am out checking the cameras. Just don’t say too much to him and be find he is just as bad as Brett. So watch out ok.”

“Thanks for the heads up, Alex.”

He said nothing else and just locked her back into her room and left.

“Ok gang we have just three hours before nightfall. Then we can head out to save Kenzie from the hunters. Kat, where have you been?”

“I went to talk to one hunter in the group to get information. He tells me that Brett decision more aggressive towards Kenzie and planning and trying to keep her as a lever after he marries me is his plan. Alex is now in charge of taking care of her. She has befriended him and he wants to help her, but he’s afraid of getting in trouble. I know this because Alex told me and we're both in love with each other. He is the reason I helped you all because he makes me want to be a better person. He is not like the other hunters he will follow orders, because it only knows. So I think we will have a less chance that gave her out safely. I don’t want Alex hurt when we go in there to get her. He tells me she’s being kept in the right side bedroom and they had the windows boarded up in that room.”

“Okay. Thank you for that information that will truly help. I guess what, I have to dispel that I could transport her out with me. They can be difficult to try.”

“Russell, what are you talking about? I found my family troll book. It had a transportation spell in the book and I can do it and bring her out as long as they don’t have silver tied to her or chained in silver. Then I can grab her and bring her out, while you keep the hunters busy. That way no one knows how I got in and how we got out.”

“That sounds good when they take used to practice this. We have around three hours. So I will practice until we have to leave. Sami has default spell ready and you have a transportation spell it, we should be fantastic to get her out safely. Haven you’ve got the getaway car waiting for us at our destination spot and so does Kat. Analysis time first I’ll wait to go.”

“Brett I’m heading out to check cameras now, Ian is on guard duty. Matt, Rick, and Jeff are patrolling the words. They’re getting it all done before nightfall to make sure everything is clear. Good stylist to be on the balls make sure everything is getting done before nightfall. Kenzie secured to the chair so no worries.”

“It’s almost time to call our leader and give him the updates. I knew her friends could not find her here. They probably don’t even know where to look. Oh, how I love my job. I will show our leader I am ready to take command even without marrying his daughter. I should know and his daughter doesn’t love me and I assured the hell don’t love her so there’s no point really in getting married except to help my career. She doesn’t even have the knack for this job anymore; she’s gone soft. I have my suspicions of why she exchanged, but there is something she is still hiding from me and I will find out what it is, eventually. But first things first deal with Kenzie and make the leader happy and then work on becoming the leader.”

“Okay everybody let’s have to the park and we all get situated. Once we get there. The shifters can change into the forms. Then we will get Sami to do the spell for the fog. Russell will wait until we get the guards out of the cabin and then transport inside the cabin and grabbed Kenzie transport her to the vehicle. Where Haven is waiting for them. The rest of us will take the guards down, tie them up whatever and had to hurry back to the vehicle so we can leave. We all know until we get the head leader they will not stop coming after us. So we must get prepared when they come after us again. So let’s go save Kenzie.”

Adam gave the speech to get them ready to head out. They get the cars in the drive towards the park.

“Haven and Kat are staying at the vehicles to drive them away as soon as everybody jumps back in. Sami, Trent, Jake, Russell, Dillion, ShaSha, and Adam all got into their places surrounding the cabin. ShaSha and Dillion change their shapes and then Sami, then done the fog spell.”

“Adam, who is standing by Russell, is waiting just for the right moment to yell to bring the hunters out of the cabin. Russell is hiding in the bush said they can not see him. So the minute all the hunters are out of the cabin he could transport into the cabin and grabbed Kenzie transport her out. Okay everybody is in the position and ready to go.”

Sam told everyone.

“Brett I know you’re in there, let Kenzie go and I will come quietly,” Adam yelled.

The door opened slowly and Brett yells back.

“I don’t believe you. I think it’s a trap.”

“Look at your cameras. Do you see anybody else with me? All I want is Kenzie to be safe and let go.”

“Oh no, that’s not it. That’s not how it will work. Not only will we have you she’s staying because the leader wants her. I also would like to have her for myself before you get your hands on her.”

“Then I guess you and your men will just have to come out here and get me.”

“That can be arranged.”

“Would you like to prove that?”

“There will be no proving just action and being done with you.”

All the hunters left the cabin except for Brett he stood there in the doorway watching it all to play out. Adam ran to the words leaving all the hunters here and there. Why the others took them down one by one and tie them to a tree. So I went back around to coax Brett away from the cabin a little further.

“Your men are slow Brett maybe you loathe the faster to catch me.”

“You don’t think I’m stupid enough to leave Kenzie in the cabin by herself. Do you?”

“I know you’re just stupid. For taking what is mine. So I guess I’ll come and get her.”

Adam and Brett are fighting, which gave Russell the opportunity to teleport in and grabbed Kenzie. We wrestled with since the room the Kenzie is in she was shocked and passes out. Russell Crowe’s death and unties Kenzie picks her up and teleport out. This gets Kenzie into the car and they wait for the rest to come.

Everyone shows back up to where the cars are except for Adam. Sam and Trent go looking for him. When they get back to the cabin, they see Brett knocked out, and they have stabbed Adam in his left shoulder with a wooden stake. Trent and Sami rush over to him and help carry him back to the car. They let him know that Kenzie is safe, and she’s in the car passed out. They drive away as fast as they can go get back to Kenzie’s house. Once back at Kenzie’s house. They pull the stake out of Adam. They put him to bed and have him rest but Jake runs to Adam's house and gets him two bags of blood he needs to drink before he can rest. Kenzie wakes up and walks over to where Adam is laying. Then lies down next to Adam and talks to him, just let them know that she is back and is not a dream. Adam opens his eyes looks at Kenzie.

“I miss you so much and was so scared that I would never see you again.”

“I’m safe now thanks to you and the rest of the gang. Rest and I will be here when you wake.”

They both fell asleep next to each other.
