Chapter 14 Kidnapping
After the meeting, I felt so frustrated that I was so tired and hoped that I didn’t a dream. I didn’t want to dream I wanted to sleep. Even now I got scared to fall asleep.  I will stay up for a while and talk to my brothers. I kissed him good night and went to bed.

I have said “Sam, Trent, and Jake what you think of everything tonight? What should we do? I feel this man is out to get her we don’t even know who he is. She’s my mate my love and I will keep her safe. We find out who this man is why he is after her. What power could he be talking about that she is holding? When do I know if she was powerful not since she is my mate? Well, we will do more research on finding out who he is. The power thing. I don’t know if you would know since she’s not a full-fledged vampire yet.”

“We may need to consult the Council and ask if there is a way we can find out what power she could have before I turn her. We need to put a tracer of the car and on her phone. Maybe the one in her purse and a cut in her coat.”

“So just in case they got her when we’re not around here we can still find her. Then we have the cameras and pushed the store and around the houses so we will see everything. We can keep her safe and we will keep her safe.”

“We need to take a few extras more precautions to do that. Maybe we can put a tracer in a necklace and have her have it on just in case. Something they won’t think about taking away from her if they would get her. I’ll get started on a runaway it should only take me a few hours to get it all done and have a ready force of his work in the morning.”

Said Jake and headed home to get started.

Trent gets started on some research about where Kat said she was from. Try to find out as much about the area she is from as possible.

“Also try to find out more about when they hold their testing of the hunters and things like that,” Sam told him.

“Thank you, Sam. As you appreciate all of this without keeping her safe.”

“I hope one day I need to find my mate as you have.”

“I knew you would be there for me if this was happening. Let’s hope we all get the house are mates together in one place sometime.”

“I will help the other two. You get to sleep in the with your mate while you can be for we get to work in the morning.”

I got up and ready for work to go to the Café in the morning.

“Hey, I have to get going my website orders are getting behind. If you will help you need to get your ass in gear.”

“I have to get something done first before we go.”

“Then I will just meet you there when you're done. I can’t let this fall behind anymore.”

She was going to her car when she bumped into Trent and he handed her a necklace

“Before you say anything it is a gift from all of us welcoming you into the family.”

“Thank you so much. But I have to get going.”

She gave Trinity kiss on the cheek that the necklace on and left for work. She could get over it. With everything that has happened so far in her life she still felt like there was more that she didn’t know. Then she arrived at work. Has she been getting ready to unlock the door to the café when she got knocked in the head and blacked out? Kenzie was waking up from being hit in the head. Her first thought was of Adam than for herself.

“Where am I? Is anyone there? Why am I tied to a chair? Hello! Hello!”

“Just shut up. We don’t want to hear you yelling. You have been taken hostage until we get what we want. You will not get harmed as long as you cooperate. No one will find you here.”

“If no one can find me here, then where and I.”

“Someplace they won’t think to look for you. And that’s all you need to know.”

“Who are you?”

“I am a Hunter, who’s caught one of his prey. But if you need a name. My name is Brett McClure. The leader of this small group. The second command and overall. When our leader gets here. He will decide what happens to you. And we will take down your friends. Even if we have to do it one by one. This world will be safe again without the supernatural creatures that don’t belong in our world.”

“So what happens to the world when your leader decides he is the most powerful person on this planet? Will you hunt him down next or will you stay and rule by his side? I don’t think he will want to share power with any of you. He will toss your ass aside and rule without you.”

“He is not after power is about protecting people from all supernatural creatures like your friends and your boyfriend. If you will change from wanting that VAMPIRE. I would take you as my lover. You can be my wife that usually bring me up in ranks but I have someone else in mind for that. I still don’t mind keeping you on the side.”

“I would rather die than ever let you touch me.”

“That can be arranged if you would like. I’ll let you think about all that and I’ll get back to you and your choice. We will go eat and leave you here to think about it then. Have a good night. Oh, I should say have a good day.”

Adam walks up to the Café door he realizes they still lock it. He knows she’s should be here because her car is in the parking lot. He cannot understand why she’s not coming to the door to let him. So he pulls his key out and unlocks the door and walks in and re-locks the door. He goes looking for Kenzie throughout the cafe. He doesn’t find her anywhere in the Café. He calls everyone to see if they have heard from her. When they all say no, he makes sure they come to the café when he hangs up with them. Then he looks at the security cameras to see if he can track her movements. He can tell from one camera that somebody came up behind her and hit her in the head. He hears the gang arriving at the café; he rushes out to them.

“Someone has taken Kenzie.”

Adam yells to everyone. Everyone looks at him in shock.

“Are you sure Adam?” ShaSha asked him with worry in her voice.

“Come with me and I will show you all how sure I am. It shows on one camera.” It shows on the tape where Kenzie is being hit in the head and then it shows black van with no license plate number.

“It’s okay it's okay will find her,” Trent said while patting Adam on the back.

“Can you tell in the video if she is wearing the necklace I gave her this morning before she left?”

“You gave her a necklace before she left for work?”

“Yes, I am bringing the stuff over to you but ran into her as she was leaving. So I told her it was to welcome her into the family gift and asked her to wear it always. It has a transmitter in and I brought it with me in case she still had it on.”

“Thank god you did that means we have a good chance in locating her now.” Stated Conner.

“We need to make a plan. Once we figure out where they have her. They will not think we know where she is or that we have a way to find her. They will think and they have the upper hand.” said Sam in a stern tone.

“We can’t let them think otherwise. Or we might not get her back. They may do something stupid, like hurt her or kill her to get our attention. But I think they have other ideas to use her as bait and trap of us. Or they will use her so they could pick us off one by one and get to us all free and clear.” Trent said flat out.

“Trent you cannot be sure that’s how it will go.” Adam almost yelled it at him.

“There are few options left for us to look at here. We have to get her out of there. Let’s use the tracking device see where they’re at and go from there.”

Trent went out to his car to get the tracking device so they could use it to find Kenzie. When he got back inside and turned on the tracking device, they found the beep on the screen. So they got into ShaSha’s Jeep and went looking for Kenzie with the tracking device. They took to clear up through Rockville to the state park way back in the woods. Parking the jeep and head for a trail they could walk on tell they had to walk in the woods off the trail to fall the beep on the device. Hoping to find Kenzie soon they noticed footprints in the mud. Then they noticed there were little cameras up in the trees. So far they were still out of view of the cameras. So they stopped and walked into a circle around where the area that started to noticing the camera to see if they can tell how much of the premiere they had covered. Once that figured out they need to come up with a new plan. Since they have an idea where she’s at, they can go back to the Café to figure out a plan together with some maps of that state park. With the maps the group circles the location and how much they assumed the cameras covered that. They pinpointed where they thought the cabin was on the map. With the pinpointed location on the map for Kenzie’s location. Next, try to figure out the best way to get Kenzie out safely. They need to figure what time of day or night they should go.

“Wake up, it’s time for you to eat.”

“Oh, you’re giving me something to eat great can’t wait. Is it microwavable or did you make it yourself? Well, let me guess its takeout food instead.”

“You keep it up with that smart mouth and I won’t feed you today.”

“What does it matter if you feed me or not you will eventually kill me, anyway? Why not let me have my fun with my smart mouth?”

“Look when I’m here to hurt you, you will know it. We are following our orders. I will untie you long enough for you to eat. If you can behave maybe I can keep you untied for a little longer so you can walk around the room.”

“Thank you. It’s kind of you. I don’t understand why you’re with them you're so not like them.”

“They took me in when nobody else would give me a skill I didn’t have before.”

“I feel for you. I understand what it’s enjoy feeling like you belong. I have felt that same way for a long time till recently.”

“Thank you, Kenzie for trying to understand.”

“I think we would have a better chance in getting her out at night. Most of us hide better at night. Plus, maybe Sami can make a spell that makes fog that will help us hide better.”

“Let me see what I can come up with and I will get back to you.”

“Haven has you talked to your mom lately?”

“Yes, I talked to her last night, and she is doing in a few days from now.”

“Ok, then she should be safe for now that gives us time before we have them to worry about. So let’s make our next step in getting her safely out of their hands. If we get the fog, it will use it to get the shifters up next to the cabin because they will look like the wildlife in the wildlife park. If they can get them to come out, then we can take them down one or two at a time.”

“Depend on how many they send out to chase the animals away.” Adam and Sam said together.

Russell spoke up and told them he might have an idea.

“I think I might do a troll trick if I can my family magic book. If I can get a hold of the family magic book, then I should be able to do a trick that can get me inside without being seen by them. I haven’t ever tried the magic since I am dating a human. I have wanted to seem as human as I could. I should be able to do it and it should tell us if she is ok and where she is inside the cabin.”

“I don’t care what we have to do I want her back and safe with all of us.”

“How was your food? It was fine to thank you? Do you need to go to the restroom?” Asked Alex her guard.

“Yes, please and I would like to clean up a little if I could. I am a mess and I don’t enjoy looking or feeling like this.”

“Let me see what I can do for you and I will be right back to get you.”

“Thank you so much.”

“He is not trying to help you in the way you are hoping for. He is just doing it so you will not end up getting hurt.”

“Well, at least he is trying to be nice no matter what his reason for it is. I would rather deal with him any day than you at all.”

“I should smack you and shut you up or I should just wash you up myself.”

“Now that is a terrible idea. Brett leaves her alone she is for the leader to deal with not use. He told us we need to make sure no harm comes to her and that we treat her well. He has big plans for her. You know that it will piss him off if you hurt her.”

“Shut up, Alex that is the way you are just third in command and not where I am.”

“So what are you saying that because I am not second in command in this group or just because I am fourth in command over all? Which part is wrong? I like who I am can you say the same? Ranks can change and we both know it. Have you seen Kat lately to make sure she will marry you so you can keep your rank?”

“Kat is none of your business and neither is my rank. Just make sure you know where your loyalties lie. Just attend to Kenzie for our leader and shut up about the rest.”

Bret sneered at him as he left.
