Chapter 100

Chapter 100

Although these things are not difficult to investigate, he doesn't just do this kind of work; he has his own things to do as well.

For example, he was just on a date with a girl when Leonard's call interrupted him, and the pretty girl left immediately.

Leonard hung up the phone right after he finished speaking, not caring about his complaints at all.

This wasn't the first time this had happened. Leonard hung up on him more often than he called him, and Frank had gotten used to it.

He thought to himself that he must go to Leonard's house for a meal again soon. He had to admit, Margaret's cooking was quite good, and just thinking about it made his mouth water.

During lunch break, Margaret returned home to find that Leonard hadn't come back yet. She felt a bit sorry for him because of his intense workload, not even having time for lunch.

So, a sudden idea flashed in her mind, and she decided to make a loving lunch and take it to the hospital for Leonard.

She had cooked many times before and was not a novice, so her cooking speed was not slow. In less than half an hour, she had finished making the lunch for Leonard.

She searched around the house and finally found a lunch box. After washing it, she put the food she had made into it and also wrote a note on a sticky note from home and put it in the bag.

She thought she would first go to Leonard's hospital to deliver the lunch and then return to her company, which would be just in time for her lunch break.

She was so focused on making sure Leonard had lunch that she didn't realize she wouldn't have any time to rest herself.

She happily went out and soon arrived at the hospital.

When she opened the office door, she found it empty.

She put down the lunch box and then went out to find Bianca, who was on duty.

Bianca was surprised to see her, "Mrs. Graham, what brings you here?"

Margaret smiled slightly, "I brought lunch for Leonard. He's not in the office; is he still busy?"

Bianca nodded, "Dr. Graham had a sudden meeting to attend at noon, so he should still be in the conference room."

Margaret glanced towards the conference room. The glass outside the conference room was frosted, so she couldn't see anything clearly, only a few shadows inside.

Knowing that Leonard was busy, she had no intention of disturbing him.

"Do you need me to go in and get Dr. Graham for you?" Bianca asked.

Bianca knew that if the lunch Margaret had worked hard to make wasn't eaten in time, it would get cold, and it was indeed lunchtime.

Margaret shook her head, "No need. He'll see my lunch when he returns to the office after the meeting. Don't disturb him."

Bianca's face showed a hint of envy. She quite liked Leonard's wife.

And she thought the two of them were a perfect match.

After delivering the lunch, Margaret returned to her company.

At this time, Leonard's meeting was finally coming to an end. As he walked out of the conference room and headed to his office, he heard Bianca speaking to him.

"Dr. Graham, Mrs. Graham just came by to bring you lunch. I was worried it would get cold, so I put it in the microwave. It should still be warm now."

Bianca was a bit nervous as she said this because she knew Leonard didn't like others touching his things.

She had seen the lunch box sitting alone on the table and couldn't bear to let it get cold, so she put it in the microwave to keep it warm.

Leonard was a bit surprised to hear this. He hadn't expected Margaret to come by and bring him lunch.

"How long has she been gone?"

Bianca glanced at the clock on the wall, "About twenty minutes."

Leonard took the lunch box out of the microwave and returned to his office. After closing the door, he opened the lunch box and saw the sumptuous meal inside, along with a note quietly lying in the bag.

He took it out and unfolded it, seeing Margaret's elegant handwriting.

"I know you probably haven't had lunch, so I brought you a loving lunch. Hope you like it!"

The note was very simple, but Leonard couldn't help but smile when he saw it.

Bianca came in to deliver the afternoon schedule and saw the smile on Leonard's face.

She looked at Leonard in disbelief, never expecting him to smile.

In the hospital, everyone said Leonard had a poker face, rarely showing any expression. Almost no one in the entire hospital had seen him smile.

But now he was smiling in front of her?

Bianca's gaze shifted down and saw the opened lunch box from Margaret. She immediately understood why Leonard was smiling; it was because he had received a loving lunch from his wife.

She never thought that the usually cold Leonard would be so happy because his wife brought him lunch.

Just as Leonard was about to eat, his phone vibrated. He opened it and saw a message from Margaret.

"I don't know if you've finished your meeting. I wanted to ask if you would like to attend Stella's wedding with me next week as my husband."

Margaret was a bit nervous after sending the message, worried that Leonard wouldn't like such occasions.

So she added, "I want them to know I didn't choose the wrong person, that my marriage is very happy, and I want Stella and Howard to stop bothering us."

After sending it, Margaret bit her fingernail, anxiously waiting for Leonard's reply.

Her heart was pounding, but Leonard replied almost instantly, "Okay."

After finishing the lunch Margaret brought, Leonard received a call from Frank.

"I have some leads on what you asked me to investigate."

Leonard said in a deep voice, "Go on."

"Your intuition was right. Margaret's identity is indeed a bit suspicious, and Stella is not Layla's biological child. Her DNA matches John's."

In other words, Stella was John's child but not Layla's biological child.

Leonard narrowed his eyes. He knew this matter wasn't simple.

"What about the details?"

Leonard needed more than just a result. Without evidence, even if the Thorne Family knew, they wouldn't believe it.

"This happened over twenty years ago. It's not that easy. I need more time."

Frank's tone became impatient. Leonard really thought he was a treasure chest that knew everything.
