Chapter 59 The Company Gives Caroline

Chapter 59 The Company Gives Caroline

Finn smiled, his tone respectful.

"Ms. Collins, you're too kind. You have the ability and the strength. I feel confident leaving these projects in your hands."

After speaking, Finn gestured to the woman beside him.

"Ms. Collins, this is Julie. She's a secretary I've specially arranged for you."

"She's very capable and experienced. From now on, she'll stay by your side."

Julie Taylor quickly stood up and bowed to Caroline.

"Ms. Collins, hello. I look forward to your guidance."

Caroline was stunned, feeling a bit overwhelmed.

She hadn't expected Finn to specially arrange a secretary for her.

And such a capable one at that.

"Mr. Moore, you're too kind. You don't need to go to such trouble."

"Ms. Collins, please don't be so polite."

Finn laughed heartily.

"This is a small gesture from me, and also Mr. Anderson's intention. Please accept her, otherwise I won't be able to explain this to Mr. Anderson."

Caroline was a bit surprised. James?

Seeing Caroline's confused expression, Finn guessed that James hadn't mentioned their relationship, so he explained.

"Mr. Anderson saved my life."

"I originally planned to hand over the Silvermoon City branch to him entirely, but he specifically requested that the project go to you."

Learning this news, Caroline was shocked. No wonder Finn was being so generous.

For a moment, she didn't know what to say.

"But this is too much trouble for you. When James saved you, he wasn't looking for anything in return."

"Besides, you working with me is already great."

Finn hadn't expected Caroline to be so understanding. She was truly worthy of being James's woman.

He looked at Caroline with more appreciation.

"Don't worry, Summit Holdings Corporation values ability. If you weren't capable, I wouldn't choose you just because of Mr. Anderson."

Caroline was surprised and even more delighted.

She also understood that if she kept refusing, it would be disrespectful to Finn.

So she could only agree.

Seeing this, Finn's face showed a pleased smile.

"In that case, Ms. Collins, let's discuss the specific details of our cooperation now."

"Alright." Caroline nodded and began discussing the cooperation details with Finn.

The two talked for the entire morning, finally settling all the cooperation details and signing the agreement.

Summit Holdings Corporation would invest one billion dollars in the Collins Group, cooperating on multiple projects and fully supporting the Collins Group's development.

After Finn left, Julie immediately got to work.

All of this was witnessed by Daryl.

He stood at the office door, watching Caroline being treated respectfully by Finn.

Watching Julie work diligently to help Caroline, the jealousy and hatred in his heart grew stronger.

He couldn't stand it anymore and strode directly into the office with a cold sneer.

"Caroline, you're really something."

"Now that Summit Holdings Corporation has given you the project, you can finally return the shares you're holding to us, right?"

Caroline's head shot up, looking bewildered, as if she didn't understand what he was saying.

"What did you say? Return the shares to you?"

"What else?"

Daryl stood in front of the desk, acting like it was perfectly natural.

"The company belongs to the Collins family. The shares should be mine!"

"You're holding onto our shares and won't let go. Don't you feel ashamed?"

He spoke as if it were obvious, as if Caroline winning the bid was just dumb luck.

Caroline was completely shocked by his shamelessness. After a few seconds, she reacted and laughed in anger.

"Daryl, are you confused? The shares were personally transferred to me by Grandpa with his signature. It's legally binding. It's not something you can take back just because you say so."

"The Summit Holdings Corporation project—I stayed up all night working on proposals, handling procedures, and negotiating it myself. What does it have to do with you?"

"Stop making excuses!"

Daryl slammed the desk hard.

"If it weren't for the Collins Group's resources, could you have won the bid? You just got lucky and now you want to take over the Collins family's business!"

"I'm taking over?"

Caroline stood up abruptly, her eyes suddenly cold.

"You used me as a tool back then, and now that the project is successful, you want to steal the results? Where in the world does that make sense?"

"You!"

Daryl was left speechless, his face ugly.

Julie immediately stepped forward, blocking Caroline, her expression serious as she said coldly,

"Daryl, watch your words. Before Mr. Moore left, he specifically instructed that Summit Holdings Corporation's cooperation only recognizes Ms. Collins. If there's a change of personnel, they will stop cooperating with the Collins Group, and you'll have to pay thirty million dollars in penalties."

"How is that possible?"

Daryl glared at Julie, his chest heaving with anger, not understanding why Finn valued Caroline so much.

Julie sneered.

"Why wouldn't it be possible? If you keep making trouble here, I'll have to throw you out of the company."

Daryl was furious. He hadn't expected Julie to dare speak to him like this.

But he also knew Julie was telling the truth, so he could only angrily wave his sleeve.

"Fine, you just wait."

Daryl threw out a harsh threat, turned around, and stormed out, slamming the door.

He walked all the way with a belly full of anger, heading straight to Landon's office.

As soon as he entered, he shouted,

"Grandpa! You need to do something about Caroline! She's holding onto the Collins Group shares and won't let go. Now that she's got the Summit Holdings Corporation project, she's treating us all like servants!"

Landon was sitting in his chair drinking coffee. Hearing this, his hand shook and he nearly dropped his cup.

"What did you say? She really did that?"

"More than that!"

Daryl exaggerated,

"She also said the shares are rightfully hers, that the company will be run by her from now on, and she doesn't respect you at all! Finn's people are helping her too, clearly only recognizing her and not the Collins family!"

Landon's face turned red with anger after hearing this. He raised his hand and slammed the desk hard.

"She's gone too far! Really too far!"

He stood up abruptly, grabbed his cane and was about to rush downstairs, but after two steps, he froze.

James's cold words flashed through his mind, and a chill ran up from his feet.

What could he do?

Make a scene? Try to take it by force?

Never mind that Caroline now held legal shares—just James alone was a barrier he couldn't cross.

If he really pushed Caroline too far, James could completely destroy what little the Collins family had left.

Landon held up his cane, trembling with anger, but couldn't get a word out for a long time. Finally, he struck the ground hard with his cane, making a dull thud.

"Forget it!"

"Let her be! Let her be!"

"From now on, no one is allowed to mention the company's affairs again!"
