Chapter 189 Best Not to Fall into His Hands
"What about you? Don't you treat Dominic like your possession too?"
Fiona shot back defiantly, her eyes full of hostility as she looked at Cordelia.
"No, Dominic has never been my possession," Cordelia answered frankly.
Fiona froze for a moment, and the look in her eyes shifted.
The dark thoughts deep in her heart seemed to pale in comparison after seeing Cordelia's honest gaze. For a moment, she couldn't meet Cordelia's eyes directly.
Cordelia's gem-like eyes stared coldly at Fiona.
"And I would never be like you—lying and ruining someone's life just for selfish desires."
Fiona's chest heaved as Cordelia's words stung her.
She took a deep breath, realizing she hadn't gained any advantage since meeting Cordelia. If she stayed here any longer, she would only be the one embarrassed.
She bit her lip and retorted, "You might want to treat Dominic as your possession, but too bad you're a divorced woman. The Gray family won't accept a divorced woman."
Fiona felt this remark had hit Cordelia's sore spot, so she hadn't completely lost this war of words.
Satisfied, she glared at Cordelia, feeling slightly better, and left the restroom.
Outside the restroom door, she saw the man who had harassed Cordelia earlier and smiled cunningly.
She walked over and whispered something to him. The man's eyes lit up, and he immediately walked into the restroom.
Fiona watched the man's back as he entered the restroom and let out a snort of laughter.
This man was a regular at the bar.
She'd heard he was a nouveau riche whose family had just gotten rich from a demolition compensation, with a twisted personality and a taste for women. Especially after suddenly coming into money, he'd become even more arrogant.
He'd harassed every halfway decent-looking female server in the bar.
A malicious look flashed across Fiona's face. She hoped Jason White would harass Cordelia thoroughly and make her suffer a bit.
Cordelia threw the paper towel she'd used to dry her hands into the trash and was about to leave the restroom when a strange man entered.
She paused and immediately reminded him.
"This is the women's restroom."
Jason walked up to Cordelia with his hands in his pockets, an evil smile on his face.
"I heard you needed help, so I came to check."
Cordelia frowned. When she'd come to the restroom earlier, she hadn't looked at the person who'd harassed her, but now hearing Jason's voice, she remembered.
She was in a bad mood, and her expression was cold.
"I don't need help."
Seeing her about to leave, Jason immediately reached out to block her way.
"Don't be shy, lady."
"Don't worry, I'm very good in bed, and I've already had someone guard outside so no one will disturb us."
As he spoke, he reached out to put his arm around Cordelia's waist.
Cordelia reacted quickly, stepping back several steps until her back hit the sink.
Jason quickly closed in and managed to touch Cordelia's waist.
Slim and soft.
When he touched Cordelia's waist, many pornographic images immediately flooded his mind.
Having such a gentle and dignified-looking woman beneath him would definitely be an extraordinary and wonderful experience.
Seeing the tension and panic in Cordelia's eyes.
Jason's smile grew more unbridled, and he leaned down to kiss her lips.
But the next second, Cordelia suddenly raised her knee and drove it upward hard.
Jason immediately let out a painful howl, then bent over clutching the area Cordelia had just hit. Cordelia glanced at him coldly and left the restroom.
Jason reached out to grab her, but as soon as he took a step, a piercing pain shot through the area Cordelia had kicked.
When Cordelia reached the restroom door, she saw Alaric walking out of the men's restroom with a cold expression.
He was holding a paper towel, wiping his hands. His hands were slender and beautiful—even the cheap paper towel seemed to become expensive in his hands.
Cordelia couldn't help but stop.
"What are you doing here?"
When she asked this question, there was a moment of expectation in her heart.
Alaric looked at the slight surprise in her eyes and brows, and his eyes couldn't help but darken.
She really knew how to please men, knew how to use her every smile and frown, even deliberately showing a tiny bit of micro-expression to trigger the emotions deep in a man's heart.
If he hadn't just seen Cordelia being intimate with someone else upstairs, he would have thought Cordelia was genuinely happy to see him.
Julian was right—she was a female player, cleverly using a push-pull approach to maintain ambiguous relationships with him and even others.
Cordelia waited a while but didn't get his answer. Her heart sank, and she immediately came to her senses.
After the pain in the restroom subsided, Jason came out cursing.
"You bitch."
Seeing that Cordelia hadn't left yet, he gritted his teeth viciously and reached out to grab her hair.
But before his hand could even touch a strand of Cordelia's hair, she was pulled away by Alaric across from them.
Cordelia was pulled toward Alaric by a huge force, her forehead directly hitting his chest.
When Jason saw Alaric, the foul language in his mouth came to an abrupt halt.
"Mr. Hughes."
He had only seen Alaric in some news reports before and had never been in such close contact.
The powerful aura emanating from Alaric made Jason's legs feel weak.
He barely dared to look up at Alaric's expression, bowing respectfully.
"Sorry, I didn't know Mr. Hughes also liked this one."
"If you like her, you go first."
Before Jason could finish speaking, he felt the temperature around him seem to drop.
He swallowed, his eyes catching sight of Alaric's hand on Cordelia's waist.
His heart sank. Even at the risk of offending Alaric, he didn't want to let this bitch latch onto Alaric.
"Mr. Hughes, to be honest, this woman really isn't worthy of you. It's fine for us to play around with her, but someone like you can have any woman you want, right?"
"Just now she actively lured me into the restroom to help her with her physical needs, and now she's seducing you. Who knows how many men she's hooked up with behind the scenes? This kind of woman is too dirty."
Alaric's eyes were somewhat cold, but he still instinctively looked at Cordelia.
Cordelia's expression showed some anger. She took a breath and turned to look at Jason.
Her gaze examined Jason from top to bottom.
Jason felt like a criminal being stared down by a police officer, uncomfortable all over.
After Cordelia scanned him once, she smiled mockingly.
"Someone like you—I'd feel dirty even letting you into my sight."
"If you can't control that little organ of yours, why not get chemically castrated?"
As Cordelia spoke, her gaze stopped at a certain part of his body.
Jason immediately felt a dull ache below and turned sideways, covering it slightly with his hand.
Seeing his reaction, Cordelia looked disgusted and walked away.
Alaric also left with a cold expression, but in a different direction from Cordelia.
Cordelia headed back to the bar, while Alaric left the bar.
Jason became more convinced that Cordelia and Alaric weren't close.
He gritted his teeth, thinking viciously that this Cordelia had better pray she never fell into his hands, or else he'd destroy her.
