Chapter 2: What Kind of Miraculous Method Is This?
Right now, having just gotten out of prison, if he wanted to investigate the truth as quickly as possible, the fastest way would be to find his adoptive parents and get some answers.
The car moved forward along the winding mountain road.
Anthony had barely closed his eyes when suddenly, they snapped open.
He sensed a strong killing intent coming from the front left.
Anthony quickly warned the driver: "Stop the car, now."
The driver was confused but still hit the brakes.
Anthony shouted urgently: "Duck! There's an assassin."
Before he finished speaking, bang!
The windshield was shattered by a bullet. If Anthony hadn't reacted so quickly, the driver would have been killed by the assassin.
The car was driving on a steep mountain road. If the driver had been killed, the consequences would have been disastrous...
The middle-aged man in the passenger seat screamed in terror.
"Sir, why are there assassins?"
Anthony's eyes turned cold. He hadn't expected that someone would want to send him to meet his maker so soon after getting out.
In the rush, he couldn't find a proper weapon.
He spotted two coins on the dashboard, grabbed one, and threw it toward a large tree on the front left.
This ordinary coin actually made a whistling sound as it cut through the air.
Immediately after, a fully armed sniper fell from the tree on the front left with a scream.
Anthony quickly opened the car door and got out.
He first used the vehicle as cover and assessed the situation around him.
After confirming there were no other assassins, he rushed over to examine the dead sniper. Anthony ripped open the assassin's clothes.
A palm-sized red wolf head pattern appeared before his eyes.
Anthony frowned: "So it's someone from Crimson Howl?"
"Looks like life after prison is going to be far less peaceful than life inside."
Over three years, he had gotten used to the routine at Colorado Supermax Prison.
He hadn't expected that as soon as he got out, someone would be so eager to take his life.
Staring at the corpse on the ground, Anthony flicked his finger.
A stream of ice-blue magical flame shot from his fingertip and landed on the body.
Whoosh! It instantly ignited the corpse.
In the blink of an eye, the body was burned to ashes.
When the wind blew, the ashes scattered with a whoosh toward the cliff below.
"Sir, are you alright?"
The two bodyguards who had picked him up came forward, asking nervously.
"Don't worry, I've dealt with the assassin."
After this incident, the two bodyguards had witnessed Anthony's abilities and became even more respectful toward him.
"Sir, please get in the car..."
Colorado city center, the Bruce estate.
In the room, Michael Bruce looked worried.
"Honey, what are we going to do?"
"Father only gave me one week to secure the Amber District project, but you know how many wealthy families in Colorado, big and small, are eyeing this project."
"The Bruce family doesn't stand a chance."
Alice snorted coldly: "I think he has no intention of letting you become the head of the Bruce family."

The couple was discussing how to secure the Amber District development project.
The butler suddenly rushed in to report: "Sir, Madam, Mr. Anthony Bruce has returned."

"Three years ago, Mr. Anthony Bruce took the fall for Mr. Nathan Bruce and was sent to prison."
