They had electrocuted Federico remotely. I opened his shirt and saw a three-centimeter scar next to his heart.
"Are you seeing this?"
"Yes, I'm recording everything. There's a lot to analyze. Keep doing your thing, I'll send the information to Rata."
"It's good to inspect all the personnel. We need to know who we can count on."
"You only have Rata; Any is already moving her pieces to get witness protection for Alessandro's wife and kids if needed."

I was looking at the information Roland sent, and I couldn't believe it. Alessandro was sitting behind his chair, contemplating what he had just seen. The phone rang; everyone was already gathered. We were going to verify the personnel in three groups with the list in hand.
In the first batch, we found two with the same mark as Federico. We sent them to the basement, and the leader was furious. We did the same with the other two groups, and in total, there were seven infiltrators.
"I want to spare them a painful death with the chip they have next to their heart. We know who they are and who they work for."
I commented. The guys got angry, one lunged at Alessandro, I intervened, and my suit took the hit. With one punch, I knocked out a tooth from the guy who then feared me, realizing I was stronger.
"Tell me, how do you plan to kill him and why?"
When we locked them up, we asked them to hand over their phones, and Eugenio was cloning them. All that information would go to a bridge base where we could access it later; if they tried to track it, they would get lost. We weren't dealing with amateurs.
"Aren't you going to talk?" The Italian was getting angry.
"Apart from that new absurd ideal of wanting to dominate the world," I used what Federico had told Cebolla, and they understood I knew about the topic, "what do you gain from killing mafia leaders? Is it some kind of charity work?"
"Power."
"Well, look at my power." Alessandro took his gun and coldly shot each one. "They were just pawns, they only knew brainwashing."
"Someone wants to dominate everything, our job is to find that someone."
"Do you think they'll attack us today?" I affirmed.
"Do you want to play with the element of surprise?"
I didn't like this, something big was coming our way. When I got to the living room, I saw Cebolla entering from the back of the house. We didn't speak; we would discuss it with the group, seven heads think better than two. It was already seven in the evening, and the alarm on my computer alerted me.
"The game begins."
Cebolla put on a baby carrier to carry the Italian's daughter. I would take the boy, and Alessandro would support his wife. The initial priority was the kids, but my instruction was to get everyone out, and I knew where Roland wanted to go. They had declared war on us, and it was a very big network.
We, silently, had to gain favors and loyalties to form our group if needed. Apparently, Rasca culo was right. This new life didn't mean we were away from bullets; now we would give them for a determined cause, outside of drug trafficking. I suppose that was what God wanted, He took us out of one place and put us in front of this. I want to think that.
The uncertainty continued; it was ten at night, Cebolla was carrying the girl, and I didn't take my eyes off the four-year-old boy. I didn't like it when silence ruled the moment, like the day of the Cárdenas attack... and just thinking about it made the tranquility cease. As soon as the first burst of gunfire came, Cebolla and I put on our hoods. The boy had his bulletproof vest.
"Show you're your father's son." The boy looked at me very seriously. "Don't scream." He nodded. "Stay close to me."
Mrs. Magnolia had the backpack on her back, and she also had a bulletproof vest.
"Rata," it was Roland, "the priority is them. I understand you want to face them, but get them out first." Cebolla looked at me.
"Understood."
An explosion alerted us that those people were going all out to kill them. Silently, while they were fighting, we exited through the back, a dozen men were waiting for us. I carried the boy and put him on my back, Miguel got behind to protect the girl with my body, Alessandro put his wife behind him. I looked at Cebolla, and he was smiling, which gave me great reassurance.
"Step back a bit."
Roland said, and Cebolla burst out laughing. That's why this bastard took so long. That's why I only trust my team.
"Did you think you could escape so easily?" one of the armed men spoke.
"Of course!" said Onion.
"By the way, Alessandro, your head of security wasn't that good. You'll meet him soon."
"Who’s going to send him greetings, it's you."
I commented. A loud explosion was heard behind us, and a second later, Onion pressed a button. Several men were sent flying, and we killed the rest while running after Miguel, who knew the way. It took us five minutes to get down the ravine, and just as we got into the boat, the house exploded.
"It's clear they have a lot of hatred for Alessandro. Any will wait for the D’Aronzo family, ask her: why do they hate him so much?" Roland inquired.
We arrived in complete silence at the place where Onion had left the helicopter. We got in, he started it up, and after several seconds of flying towards the airport, I looked at the Italian boss, who was hugging his family and looking at me.
"They hate you." Without looking away, he confirmed.
"Many years ago, we held a meeting with the top bosses in the world, leaving America out. The idea was to rule back then. Nikolay was the leader; he proposed we become one mafia, that we could achieve it if we married off our children. No one followed his lead, and disappointed, he dropped the subject.
"Then came the massacre of the Chinese mafia, and from there the threats and warnings began. Then what happened with Roland occurred. We thought they had also messed with the Colombian cartel. Through Nikolay, we found out that wasn’t the case. He obtained help from the US government to disappear, and pressured by the threats, one morning the Russian boss called me, proposing we join forces to find out what happened to Roland. We united, as we had all been attacked.
"Russia wasn’t looking for us because of that... Nikolay plays both sides," we heard Roland’s voice.
"We’ve arrived."
Onion commented, landing the helicopter. Now we would take a flight to Buenos Aires and then to the United States. Once we got off, all my senses heightened, I looked at Onion instinctively, and we put on our hoods again.
"Is something wrong?"
"I don't know, stay behind us."
I carried the child. I had to give credit to Mrs. Magnolia for not screaming at any point.
"Roland?"
"Old man, did you think I wouldn’t watch your back? The place is surrounded. There are about a hundred enemies, determined to kill the D’Aronzo family no matter what. Reinforcements arrived several hours ago." I looked at Miguel; we were both listening. "Rat, you're in charge. The guys are excited to break in their new suits." We couldn’t help but laugh. At that moment, Rascal appeared on the right, with Churrusco. They were covered by their suits, but I knew who was who. On the left appeared Turd and Cherry.
"Rat, once we leave this hangar, all hell will break loose," commented Turd.
"Thanks, guys."
"We’ve got each other’s backs," Roland commented. "Sorry I’m not with you." I knew why my friend was in this situation; they didn’t, and it was time they knew.
"Roland, you’re paying for all our sins, all the years you have are because you took the blame so the law wouldn’t come down on us." Everyone gathered around me, and we looked at each other.
"Thank you, Boss," said Rascal.
"If before I would have given my life for you," commented Churrusco, "now it would be an honor to die saving yours."
"Thanks, boss," said Turd. "It wasn’t a fair negotiation, I have many deaths on my back."
"I feel the same, Boss," commented Cherry.
"Guys, it was all under my orders. Besides, I have a luxury prison, I can work, I have my friend, girlfriend, wife, and my favorite whore by my side and..."
"Roland!"
We laughed at Verónica’s shout and the boss’s laugh. This bastard was something else.
"Guys, stay alive, I need you all back. Watch each other’s backs. Do your job and protect the D’Aronzo family. Rat, you’re in charge."
"Thanks, Roland. I don’t know how you see what no one else does."
"That’s my job now, from a distance, to watch over you. Get to work, come back soon." I sighed at Roland’s comment.
"Cherry and Churrusco in charge of the family, the rest, kill the pests."
Turd pulled a shotgun from his bag and tossed it to me, then the belt with the ammunition. While Rascal handed out weapons to us, they slung their backpacks on their backs. The four of us went out, the family was behind us, Cherry and Churrusco last.
The burst of gunfire made the guys shield the family and retreat, while we stayed to confront the men who were unloading shots at us.
"The party’s started," commented Onion.
"Let’s give them the best dance of their lives," I said. And we began to face them.
