Chapter 102 Jazzamine
Chapter 102 Jazzamine
I hear a creak on the other end on the line making me think that he leaned back in a chair before he spoke. “Unfortunately, Kairo didn’t like Violet what so ever. You see he tried to date her back in freshman year but was only rewarded with a wounded ego and his friends laughing at him. Me, Chyanne and Violet were the best of friends since middle school. So, we were ecstatic to go to the same high school. Kairo got mad about her rejecting him in front of pretty much the whole student body that he took his anger out on her. Started calling her names and saying she was acting desperate and that he didn’t even want to date her.” That self-entitled asshole. I thought in my head. “Violet was raised by a pack like we used to have. Her mom always told her not to date anyone unless she felt pulled to them like nothing she has ever felt before. Her and my wife’s parents always drilled into them about fated mates and didn’t believe in dating before meeting them. So when Kairo had tried to ask her out she said no as politely as she could. That was until he started to run his mouth anyway. All this was before she knew that she would one day meet his twin and they would share her.” Charlie paused for a second, I guess to gather his thoughts so I lifted my eyes from Trent’s neck and looked around the room for either Tyler or Thomas. My eyes caught Thomas’s so I told him not caring who heard, “Thomas I swear on the moon goddess if I ever meet your dad I am going to throat and nut punch him for being fucking stupid. He is the shittiest human alive who needs to be brought down a few pedestals he built up in his life.” Thomas’s eyes widen while someone else is chocking and he winces as he moves his hands to cover his junk like that threat pertained to him. Now if he ever does something that stupid in our life then yes, the same threat will befall him to.
I hear laughter and turn my head towards Trent who is holding back his laugh and hear, “Damn I like this girl Killian. It seems she isn’t one who will let you slip up son.” Charlie says chuckling still. I grumble about dumbasses and somehow that causes a chain reaction and everyone starts laughing. Whatever. I can hear Charlie chuckling some more before he sobers up and keeps story sharing. “Damn I needed that laugh. Whew, anyway Koa wasn’t present the first 2 weeks of school due to an injury he suffered during the summer.” I hiss because what injury will cause a shifter to miss that much school. I know the others are thinking the same thing but Charlie continues speaking. “But when he did officially start, he was looking at his schedule when Violet bumped into him by accident, causing his books to fall. She immediately apologized and helped to pick up the scattered books and papers but when she looked up and saw him, she thought it was Kairo and was about the tear a whole new hole into him but something stopped her. As she was looking at him she noticed a few differences in his face but enough to know he was somewhat related to Kairo.” Charlie said fondly, almost like he was back in time witnessing their first meeting all over again.
He chuckled softly before he said “The look of awe on Koa’s face while Vi was literally searching for differences to not compare but her filter never stops so imagine his shock when she bluntly asked is he was related to that asshat Kairo. Koa’s body jerked like she slapped him and he scowled as he said Unfortunately. To which she went to job his stuff down thinking that he was sent to rile her up but he just reached for the books and muttered about his bollock of a brother. Once he grabbed them, he apologized to Vi for not paying attention for whatever his brother may have done to piss her off. With that being said he stomped off in the other direction. Leaving poor Violet in utter shock that he just walked off.” Hmm sounds like my kind of women. “Chyanne started laughing her ass off and told Vi that she needed to apologize for comparing him and assuming anything different to which she flipped her off and went to class grumbling under her breath.” Charlie said with a slight chuckle. “No one knew tho that when the accidently touched as he grabbed his belongings, they both felt a little tingle at the point of contact. She kept that from us for a while. They both avoided each other until one day Kairo was starting his usual shit and had her cornered. Kao came around the corner and saw it then rushed in and pushed his brother back. This was the first time they physically fought. Which proved to Vi that he was nothing like his brother.” Charlie finished with a sad tone. Damn it man I don’t want to know anymore but we need to have him get to the point and not keep going down memory lane. I looked at Creed and motioned my hand in a hurry up gesture to which he nodded his head in acknowledgment.
“Charlie thank you for the back story but we really need to know what happened that night. You see Jazz and Creed are going into heat and we need to really move this along.” Trent said and I bit him for telling him that which caused him to promptly drop the phone and moan quietly. Bastard shouldn’t be telling everyone our business. Kill smirked as he bent to pick up the phone only to hear choking on the other side. “Sorry dad I know you didn’t need to know that but its really important for us to understand what happened to Koa and Violet that night that is causing Thomas and Tyler’s dad to go down the same road. I promise if you speak with Alpha, you will get an understanding on what is going on.” Kill said to him in an apologetic tone and a sheepish smile.
