SAVING HIS MATE

SAVING HIS MATE

Maxwell

Transforming into my beast form, my paws pounded against the earth, each step echoing with urgency. The ground trembled beneath me as I surged forward, my senses heightened and my instincts razor-sharp. My warriors, catching sight of my transformation, immediately understood the gravity of the situation.

They knew that only something of immense importance could drive me to shift so abruptly. Without hesitation, they followed suit, their own forms morphing into powerful beasts as they fell in line behind me. Together, we moved as one, a force of nature racing against time.

Werewolves are known for their incredible speed, but as a Lycan, my abilities far surpass those of ordinary wolves. My strength, agility, and senses are unmatched, and I pushed my body to its limits as we tore through the dense woods.

The Blue Moon Pack was our destination, and though the path was treacherous, it was the shortest route to reach them.

My beast was fully awakened, every muscle coiled and ready to strike down any threat that dared to stand in our way. My mind was singularly focused: save my mate, Delilah. Nothing else mattered. I would fight until my last breath to ensure her safety.

As if the universe itself sought to test our resolve, the skies opened up, unleashing a torrential downpour. Rain lashed against my fur, soaking me to the bone, while thunder roared overhead, and lightning split the sky. The storm was relentless, but we pressed on, our senses sharp and our determination unshakable.

The wind howled around us, a fierce gale that seemed almost sentient, as though some unseen force was trying to slow us down or scatter us apart. But I refused to yield. With every ounce of strength, I led my warriors forward, our bond as a pack keeping us united against the storm.

The wind showed no signs of relenting, and it became clear that this was no ordinary storm. It was a battle of wills, a spiritual force that sought to break us. Wrestling against the wind felt like fighting an invisible enemy, one that tested not only our physical endurance but also our mental fortitude.

I could sense the presence of a powerful entity behind this unnatural tempest, and I knew we were up against something far greater than we had anticipated. Yet, we were prepared. We had trained for battles like this, and we would not be deterred.

At one point, the wind grew so fierce that it nearly swept us off our feet. My warriors and I were thrown off balance, but we quickly regained our footing. My beast let out a thunderous roar, a sound so powerful that it rivaled the storm itself.

The trees around us swayed violently, their roots straining against the force of the wind, as though they might be ripped from the ground at any moment. But we pushed forward, our determination unwavering. No matter how powerful this force was, we would not be stopped.

As we drew closer to our destination, I caught the faint scent of Delilah on the wind. Her familiar aroma filled me with both relief and dread…relief that we were nearing her, and dread at the thought of what she might be enduring.

But there were other scents too, unfamiliar and menacing, that mingled with hers. My heart pounded like a drum, my canine teeth bared in anticipation of the fight ahead. The supernatural part of me was fully awakened, and even my warriors, hardened by countless battles, trembled at the raw power emanating from me.

When we finally reached the scene, the sight that greeted us was one of chaos. Delilah was surrounded by dozens of feral beasts, their eyes wild and their movements erratic. She was fighting valiantly, but it was clear that she was exhausted and weakened.

The beasts were relentless, and though they outnumbered her, it was evident that they wanted her alive. Why? I didn’t know, but I didn’t care. All that mattered was getting her out of there.

With a ferocious snarl, I charged at the feral beasts, my warriors close behind. The clash was brutal, the air filled with the sounds of snarls, growls, and the sickening crunch of bones.

These creatures were no ordinary beast…they were stronger, faster, and more vicious than anything we had faced before. But I was a Lycan, born to lead and born to fight. My strength and speed were unmatched, and I tore through them with a fury fueled by my love for Delilah.

I fought my way to her side, my sole focus on keeping her safe. Her life meant more to me than anything else, and I would do whatever it took to protect her. I shielded her from the onslaught, guiding her to the relative safety of a nearby tree. “Stay here,” I growled, my voice a mixture of command and reassurance. She nodded weakly, her eyes filled with gratitude and fear. “Be careful,” she whispered before collapsing into unconsciousness. Her final words echoed in my mind: “They possess powerful magic.”

Her warning only fueled my rage. My vision shifted, my eyes turning a deep, blood-red as my supernatural instincts took full control. Two beasts lunged at me, but I dispatched them with brutal efficiency, snapping their necks and tearing out their hearts with my bare hands. My claws crushed their lifeless bodies into the wet ground, the rain washing away the evidence of their existence. But there was no time to dwell on the carnage. More enemies were coming.

Three more beasts emerged, their eyes glowing with an unnatural light. They hurled balls of fire at me, their attacks fueled by the same dark magic Delilah had warned me about. I dodged their assaults with ease, my movements a blur as I closed the distance between us. In mere seconds, I had ripped out their hearts, their lifeless bodies collapsing to the ground. The battle was not easy, but I was unstoppable.

A surge of energy coursed through me, and I let out a deafening roar that shook the very earth. The sound was so powerful that it drowned out the storm, a testament to the raw power of a Lycan in battle. My warriors fought valiantly beside me, their loyalty and strength unwavering. Together, we were a force to be reckoned with, and the feral beasts began to fall one by one.

Despite the chaos, my eyes never left Delilah. She was my anchor, the reason I fought so fiercely. As the last of the beasts fell, I rushed to her side, my heart aching at the sight of her battered and unconscious form.

Her clothes were soaked, her body shivering from the cold and exhaustion. I gently scooped her into my arms, cradling her against my chest as we began the journey back to the palace. Though I remained in my beast form, my hands had shifted back to their human shape, allowing me to hold her more securely.

The rain continued to pour, the storm showing no signs of abating. As we moved through the woods, I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being watched. The presence of a witch lingered in the air, her scent faint but unmistakable. I knew this smell, and it filled me with a sense of foreboding. But for now, my only concern was Delilah. We needed to get her to safety, and we needed to do it quickly.

When we finally reached the palace, the storm still raging outside, I carried Delilah inside and laid her gently on a bed. Her breathing was shallow, her face pale and drawn. My heart ached at the sight of her in such a state, and I vowed to do whatever it took to heal her. As my warriors stood guard, I turned to the pack’s healers, my voice low and urgent. “What has happened to her?” I demanded, my eyes
burning with a mixture of fear and determination.
