DELILAH MUST DIE
DELILAH MUST DIE
“Don’t look at me that way, Alexander. That gaze of yours is driving me insane. I can’t stand by and let her destroy everything we’ve worked for all these years.” The woman’s voice was sharp, her eyes burning with frustration as she stepped closer to the throne.
King Alexander sat motionless, his expression unreadable. His piercing eyes followed her every move, but he remained silent, allowing her to vent her anger. The man standing before him, bowed deeply as the woman approached. “Welcome, Princess. We were just discussing you,” he said, his tone polite but laced with unease.
The woman, a powerful witch and Alexander’s mate, ignored his greeting. Her focus was solely on the king. “Keith, listen to me. I can still manipulate her mate with spells. Only those two have the potential to kill her. But we must act now before it’s too late.” Her voice trembled with urgency.
“All the Lycans you sent failed to handle her. Instead, she’s grown stronger, wiser. Let me kill her. You don’t need her,” she insisted, her tone pleading yet firm. But Alexander’s face betrayed no emotion. He leaned back on his throne, his fingers drumming lightly on the armrest.
“I need her,” he muttered, his voice low but resolute.
The witch’s frustration boiled over. “You don’t need her…or the staff…to rule. Take my advice before she unlocks her next ability. She hasn’t figured it out yet, but once she does, it won’t take long for her to discover who she truly is. And when that happens, she will come for you. Trust me, Alexander. By then, it will be too late to tame her. This is serious. Just give me the order.”
Alexander listened, his expression unyielding. There was one thing he had kept hidden from her, a secret that gnawed at him. If it were solely up to him, Delilah would have perished long ago, along with her mother…his own sister. But Delilah was different. She was the only one who could touch the staff, the sacred artifact that held the key to ultimate power. It was her birthright, a destiny written in the stars.
He needed Delilah. Not just to rule the Magic Kingdom, but to conquer the entire earth. The staff of power was the missing piece in his grand design. With it, his reign would be unchallenged, his power unmatched. But without Delilah, the staff was nothing more than a relic, a symbol of a legacy he could not claim.
“Kala will handle her,” Alexander finally replied, his voice calm but firm. “She raised Delilah. She knows her better than anyone. If anyone can control her, it’s Kala.”
The witch’s eyes narrowed. “Do you trust her that much? I’ve done everything you asked. Kala is no longer in the cell. How do you plan to bring her back? It’s obvious she’s already suspicious of us.”
Alexander’s lips curled into a faint smile. “I know. And that’s exactly how I want them to feel. I need her to deceive them, to make them believe she’s on their side. Let her tell them half-truths, about how I used her to render Delilah powerless. Let her confess to it. But she’ll make them believe she was forced into it, that she’s now seeking redemption.”
The witch shook her head, her frustration mounting. She had seen what Delilah was capable of, the raw power that simmered beneath the surface. Every day Delilah spent uncovering the truth about herself was a day closer to disaster. The witch wasn’t willing to take that risk.
For Alexander, ruling without the staff was a constant reminder of his vulnerability. In a kingdom where every citizen possessed magical abilities, his claim to the throne was tenuous at best. The staff was more than a symbol, it was the source of his legitimacy, the key to his survival. Without it, he was just another ruler, vulnerable to challenges from anyone bold enough to defy him.
“I’ll say it again,” the witch pressed, her voice firm. “Let’s end it. It’s the only way. As for the staff…yes, it’s significant, but it’s not essential to you. You have me. Together, we can maintain control.”
Alexander chuckled, a deep, humorless laugh that echoed through the throne room. “You still don’t understand, do you? If we kill Delilah, if it’s even possible…this throne will be threatened not by one, but by anyone born in this kingdom. My people believe in prophecy. It’s the only reason I’m still sitting here.”
He rose from his throne and stepped closer to her, his presence commanding. Gently, he brushed a strand of her silky hair behind her ear. “Take my advice, my love. Let’s find a way to weaken her first. Once her powers are tamed, bring her to me. Then you’ll understand my plan.”
He kissed her passionately, a fleeting moment of intimacy that left her breathless. But as quickly as it began, it ended. Alexander pulled away, his expression hardening once more.
“Bring Delilah to me, tamed. That is your new assignment. Announce it to everyone, even the rogues.” His tone left no room for argument.
As the witch nodded reluctantly, Alexander turned and left the throne room, his mate following closely behind. They retreated to his private royal bedroom where the weight of their responsibilities momentarily faded. Clothes were discarded, and their bodies came together in a passionate embrace. The room filled with gasps and whispers, a fleeting escape from the chaos of their world.
“I’ve missed this,” Alexander murmured, his voice husky with desire. “Your touch, your warmth. Why did you deny me for so long?”
The witch’s breath hitched as she replied, “I had to keep my focus. You know that.”
Their intimacy deepened, a momentary reprieve from the tension that defined their lives. For now, they allowed themselves to be consumed by the euphoria, the world outside forgotten.
The sex session took longer than expected as the king poured all his emotions into this moment. They both clung to
gether and as pleasure ripple through them.
